Great little place I found wandering from the convention center. Good guys. Good food. I’ll be back(maybe again today).

If you work at the Federal Courthouse, or have been stuck on federal jury duty, you’ve probably been to Amaya’s. It’s basically five steps from the courthouse, and it functions almost like its cafeteria. The sandwiches and salads are great, but the service is slow. I love the Cuban Sandwich for lunch. For breakfast, the tacos are great, and so is the cinnamon sugar muffin.

So awesome! I tried this place for the first time after walking up on it surprised to find a deli that close to the Tower of America’s I had the turkey club with potato soup and a drink for $ 7. The best part is it was amazingly good. Now That I find myself in HemisFair Park more often, I will be a new regular!

Really good, really cheap. For the love of god if you’re in Hemisfair park between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and you’re hungry, don’t go to the tower. Eat here. Trust me. Try the chicken salad. Or the hot veggie sandwich.

This spot is located right below the Tower of Americas, facing the Judicial Court House and Durango Street. Getting to this location is perfect from metered parking, Durango lot and Tower of Americas lot. Sure you have to pay, but it’s minimal for the great taste. This«mom & pop» deli shop is great for anyone, but even more ideal for people working in the downtown area, not interested in traveling to the Quarry for lunch. I eat there at least twice a month, sometimes for breakfast(better choice than McDonald’s) and lunch. Now breakfast is my specialty! I can cook a mean breakfast. Amaya really reminds me of my homemade delicious breakfast sandwiches. They are sold at a very affordable price, $ 1.79. Today, I had the Caribbean Sandwich that comes with a side. Choose the Cucumber Salad! OMG — it’s so delicious!
