I have brought two separate bikes here on three occasions. All high end road bikes. I’ve had three frustrating experiences. I really really hoped that the mechanics here could get things right because it’s so close to my house. But each time I get back my bike, the problem is not fixed and there’s something else wrong with it. Most recently I had a rear dérailleur cable replaced and the front hood cover was ripped during the process. I understand it’s not easy to remove the hood cover, but it’s not impossible. The mechanic was kind enough to offer me a new one at cost, however I didn’t feel it should be my responsibility to pay for something that was ripped during a $ 40 labor charge ‘fix’. I’ll take my chances somewhere else given that my life depends on a proper working bike:) And after getting my bike back, the rear dérailleur is still off track and the bike skips gears. I guess I’m just a slow learner. Don’t take a high-end bike to a shop that is better positioned to handle casual bikes and family bikes. I’m sure these guys are good for those types of rides — I hope… looks like I’m heading to City Cycle again tomorrow…

Good old quality customer service with a warm smile and genuine welcome! We stopped by to see if they could help us pump air into our tires. Even though we weren’t buying anything today they still provided us with kind assistance and attention — they let us use their pump(actually, Steve graciously pumped up our times for us, for which I was very grateful!). They also have a top-of-the-line assortment of bikes. We will be recommending them to others with 2 thumbs up and certainly be back when we’re ready to purchase a bike.

I have patronized these guys a few times as they are along my favorite riding route. The staff is really fun and passionate about both mountain and road bikes. I see they have some awesome demo bike events and I can’t wait to try a new mountain bike. They even did a little bike check for me after my travels. Absolutely five stars!

I called late friday afternoon, my bike was making some funny noises and was grinding. I explained that if at all possible I would need it back early Saturday morning. I received a call just before they closed to say there were a few things loose and the bike was ready. I picked it up Saturday and it was like new. Great service and when it came to the price… lets just say I would have been happy to pay double.

Love this bike shop! Last year the crew at 3 Rings Cycles fit me for my favorite pair of mountain bike shoes. I wear these babies a few times a week for indoor cycling and I absolutely love them! Not only do they look spiffy, but they fit my feet perfectly. Before I purchased my shoes I was cycling with regular sneakers and thought I was getting a perfectly good ride. After a few months of cycling the bottom of my sneakers were completely ruined. I knew if I was going to continue cycling it was time to purchase the proper shoes. The salesman at 3 Ring Cycles spent a good amount of time fitting me for the perfect pair of shoes and Shimano SPD cleats. The shoes I purchased are made by a French company called Mavic. I have not seen Mavic shoes anywhere and I am so happy I discovered them! Let me tell you riding with proper shoes is a game changer. I can’t imagine going back to cycling with regular sneakers! It’s been about a year since my purchase and my shoes are still in great shape. If you’re looking for high quality cycling gear I highly recommend 3 Ring Cycles. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about cycling. It’s my favorite bike shop in town!

A real bike store. A real bike shop. Really cool stock. This is a classic example of «smaller is better!» This high-end bike store has some of THEBEST bikes, equipment, and bike clothes I’ve seen in my 26 years of mountain biking. If you want a cheap bike, go to Target or Mike’s Bikes. If you are a hammer head gear snob with a nose for quality, craftsmanship, and style– this is the spot. Don’t let their lame and incomplete website detour you, they have lots of quality selection in stock for you to look at, touch, drool on, and dream about.

This is a great bike shop. I’ve shopped here many times, and can always find what I’m looking for. Both Lindsay and Brad have been very friendly, and someone has always offered assistance shortly after entering the doors. The place to go for repairs as well. Place to go for all your bike needs.

The place to go for all your biking needs. I have brought my bike in several times for repairs and maintenance and have always experienced the best in customer service. No matter how busy Brad was, I was able to get same day service for maintenance. 3 Rings also has a great variety of apparel and is constantly updating the merchandise as I have gone in on several occasions throughout a year and have been able to find new tees or biking pants that are very fashionable and chic. Both Brad and Lindsay are very knowledgeable and have always been there to answer any questions that I might have. It is very clear that they love what they do. Just truly a great shop to go to for cycling!

Awesome place to get bike work done. Very friendly and knowledgeable. None of the pretentious stuff I sometimes run into at other shops.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and have been in to 3 Ring numerous times with my 2 mountain bikes. I’m generally pretty good at maintaining my own bikes, but Brad and Dillon have been so great fixing the things that I can’t, ordering parts for me very quickly and generally answering all my bike geek questions. They will take all the time you need to get your questions answered and get you into the right bike or piece of gear.

Brad and Lindsey are great. They allowed me to demo a bike for free(Mike’s Bikes charges $ 100). Loved the no pressure attitude. Bought the bike with lifetime maintenance. Just had it serviced and Brad fixed a spoke I broke for free. I’ve visited their shop a couple of times and they know my name. It’s a Mom & Pop store like the way it used to be. They have great mechanics too.

These guys are great! I walked in with rear wheel in hand and the mechanic(wish I got his name) put me back on the road(record 10 speed cassette was coming off the hub) and wouldn’t take money for the job. I will definitely look at their shop when I am ready to buy a new bike.

I needed new road cycling shoes for awhile but was hesitant to put out the money for a new pair. I went to different bike shops in the area and it seems that women’s cycling is not a huge priority to any of the bike shops in the area. Not true with 3 Ring Cycles. Immediately walking into the store I knew I was not going to have another«only men ride bikes seriously» experience. I received personalized attention and the shop was willing to order a pair of shoes if I didn’t like any of the ones in the store. I ended up buying a super nice pair of Fizik shoes and they are worth every dollar! 3 Ring Cycles has super cute women’s cycling clothing, and great products that you don’t see in other bike shops. Major plus — they even carry GU Peanut Butter flavor! Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable service, great women’s selection, and Peanut Butter GU. I walked out the shop wondering why I ever went to another bike shop. I will continue to support my local neighborhood bike shop!

With most of the bike shops that I’ve been to, I always feel that they don’t really want me to be there. Not sure if the people working there are too shy or don’t know what to say but it comes off snobbish and elitist. Not with these guys. Both Brad and Lindsay are super helpful. It’s also a family owned store so you are helping locals in the community. I just had a bike built there and it’s as solid as I can imagine. They are the best in Marin, definitely recommend them.

Brad just helped me with a challenging bearing/bushing replacement on my Rocky Mountain Slayer Mtn Bike. Seized aluminum can often cause a mechanic to wince and back away or try and force the job, but Brad diligently and carefully got the job done in a quality manner. Lindsay and Brad a are a kind and caring team and on top of all the work and effort to get the bearings replaced, the cost was more than reasonable! I highly recommend 3 Ring Cycles and am psyched that there is a bike shop in the Bay area who shares my appreciation for Rocky Mtn Bikes and provides quality service and an authentic customer service experience. Cheers, Loren

Update: after coming by for four years now for repairs and general mind melds of bike lore the glow hasn’t worn off after years of waffling on getting a new mountain bike i did smooth transaction and followup service I stand by my claim. Skip Mike’s and the Peddler unless you are hard set on getting that Trek, Cannondale or Specialized big brand bike

Just recently bought my first road bike here. And as you would expect, I had alot of questions. Brad, Mackenzie and George were all great, they let me take my time and ask the novice questions without feeling dumb. Needless to say I love my new Masi! You can tell that they all love what they do and have a passion for cycling. This shop provides excelent customer service with a solid selection of bikes and gear. You will not be disappointed, this is a great shop!

Lindsay and her hubby are great! They really seem to care about the individuals needs with bikes, bike clothes, etc! A really warm and ‘fuzzy’ feeling and expertise in bikes and in riding them! They have a great selection of mountain bikes and that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

I have two kids, ages 7 and 11. I had not been on my bike in over 10 years. Brad helped me get the gear I needed to get back on my bike and put a smile on my face. He didn’t try to sell me anything fancy and said my bike from 1992 was cool. Thanks Brad, you are the«Country Doctor» of bikes!

Brad is the man! He has been able to help me out when i thought all hope was lost time and time again. If i need some obscure part he is able to order it and have it on hand within 2 days. Every other shop i go to has a «2 week» policy if they are willing to order it at all. And for most of the low dollar stuff i need they tell me its not available or they cant get it and shrug me off. Not Brad. He genuinely listens to what i need and if that part is really not available he offers other solutions to the problem. They should steal the Shane company’s motto because«Now YOU have a friend in the cycling business»
