I give them a 3 because their pizza is to die for. With that said, I was pulled back two different times and ordered something other than pizza. It was simply, okay, and that’s about it. Steak came out WAY under cooked. The next time I had to go through three different menu items before they had what I wanted to order. Thank goodness their pizza is good or they’d get a 2 star rating. This place has so much potential.

This was my second visit to Cork and Pig while visiting my husband who is stationed in San Angelo. Last time we were able to Sit outside and enjoy a warm spring evening, but We sat inside this time due to the oppressive summer heat. There were still people sitting in the patio, misted by fans with water. We started off with sharing the deviled eggs, as we had in our previous visit. They weren’t as tasty as I had remembered though. Hubby and I both opted for the Hill Country Fried Chicken. Was disappointed that the chicken was in the form of thinly pounded chicken cutlets, rather than on the bone. While it made it easier to eat, it really didn’t seem like fried chicken to me. The breading was peppery and crisp. I would’ve preferred less pepper, as the spice overwhelmed the other tastes of the plate. The mashed potatoes were passable. I would have preferred that a gravy of some sort be served to tie the plate together. Three dipping sauces were included: a tangy BBQ, a Dijon honey mustard and a mystery white sauce. They have a good variety of wines, both red and white, but they are priced on the high side. My hubby pointed out that a glass of the Christoval Tempranillo costs slightly less that what an entire bottle does at the nearby winery. I understand that restaurants need to make money, but that markup seems excessive. We both enjoyed the $ 6 House Red instead. We’ll go back and try the pizza next time. Or maybe try to hit up happy hour so the drinks are a bit more reasonable. Happy hour ends at 6pm though.

Stopped in for dinner with the wife and we were happy with the results. Had the Southern lemonade, which hit the spot on a hot day. We were able to split a house salad, which had a great dressing on it. Would love to bottle that and take it home. We also split the Mexican Chorizo pizza. It had just the right amount of kick to it.

We had a reservation for a party of 6 here on Saturday night. They had our table ready for us and seated us right away. I’ve never had a reservation honored so well! Our waiter was awkward but nice enough. We all ordered water and a few beers. The beers came out quickly, but the waiter kept apologizing saying he didn’t have enough clean glasses. That was odd, but alas, what seemed like an eternity later, there was water. My salad was tasty and extremely filling. They did not skimp on the chicken. Definitely get the dressing on the side unless you like your lettuce swimming in a soggy, mayo-larden bowl. I regretted not ordering the pizza, only because my friend’s pizza looked and smelled SO good. The pizza sizes are huge, and can definitely be split between two adults. We saw their brunch menu and want to come back on the weekend to try it!

Great restaurant for some great food. Pizzas are pretty big, 3 of us shared 2 pizzas(BBQ chicken & Gladiator) but we left with almost half of each because they were filling! The beignets were delicious!!! A must for dessert. The key lime pie was also delicious, not overly lime-y. The other dessert(chocolate, i cant remember the name) was okay, chocolatey but not very sweet. Overall good service, it wasn’t very packed so service could’ve been better. We’ll definitely go back the next time we’re in San Angelo.

My friends and I were hungry for steak so we decided to check this place out. So glad we did! The steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. Our server convinced us to get the key lime pie and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Great service! I think I’ll get one of the pizzas next time.

I’ve been here twice now. The shrimp quesadilla is awesome! It’s huge so go hungry. The queso is on point, as well as the calamari. Go during happy hour if you get the chance(4 – 6 I think) they have a great selection with most drinks at $ 4 and half price appetizers! The chicken chopped salad was good too but not what I was expecting. Its more of a shredded kale salad style but was still good! And the house red wine is so great! It’s a versatile atmosphere with inside and outside seating, but it gets really busy on weekend nights!

Food was delicious. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We ate outside and there were a lot of flies, probably due to the time of year. I will definitely return, but I’ll eat indoors, if possible.

Not what I expected to find in San Angelo. What a pleasant surprise. Very late lunch or very early dinner. The deviled eggs with bacon appetizer might fill you up, but don’t stop there. The pork chops are some of the best you will eat if you like a thick cut juicy chop with a light sprinkle of a coarse rub. Throw in peanut slaw for good measure. All this spells left overs for anyone traveling through.

Finally was able to visit this San Angelo favorite. Overall it was a good experience. We went when it was still happy hour and enjoy some half priced drinks and apps. The Southern Lemonade was great! For dinner our party dined on multiple pizzas, chops and pasta. The pizzas are hand made and very fresh. The pork chops are perfectly seasoned and have just the right amount of smoke. The spaghetti was good but the portion was small and the meatballs were burned. Overall I really enjoyed C&P but the slightly limited menu could use an update. Id recommend more salads, pizza options, and maybe a cream sauced pasta.

Very good! When we got there, we asked the server what they recommended. The server let us know how delicious the pork chops are. We both ordered the pork chops, and we loved them. The plate came with two chops, which was a lot! We also ordered the deviled eggs with bacon as an appetizer. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. I recommend this place. Delicious food. Great beer. Good price.

My husband and I were regular visitors for about two years, the whole menu is fantastic but the standouts for us were: Calamari(the red chili sauce is to die for) The Hawaiian Surfer Pizza Trout Almondine Beignets(seriously, get these) We always had great service and the staff is friendly and attentive. I am really going to miss our date nights here!

Stopped in before heading to the airport and was looking for something to fill me up. The nice waitress recommended the CPTCHOPPEDSALAD. Slightly skeptic, since I’m not usually one to just eat a salad as a main course, I trusted her and ordered that with a side of mac&cheese. I was right to trust her because that salad was DELICIOUS! It was very filling! There were so many items in the salad that I wasn’t fishing around giant pieces of lettuce for a hearty bite. It was so good! The mac&cheese was very tasty too! To drink, I had the guava margarita. It could have used just a little more of the guava flavor, in my opinion, because I just really like guava, haha! The drink didn’t disappoint in taste though. It was a strong drink but not over powering. The waitresses I encountered were very sweet and helpful. I really enjoyed the place overall. I have to go back for my boyfriend’s graduation and plan on coming back to try more of the menu!

Food was good. Ordered the mushroom pizza and boyfriend got the chorizo pizza. Mine was delicious but the chorizo one was beyond greasy. Hey I’m all for fat because that means flavor but when the fat from the chorizo soaks into the crispy pizza crust? And not being able to hold itself up anymore? Yeah. Definitely pass on that one. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was nice! Sat on the patio because it was beautiful. Service was. Alright nothing spectacular. Our waitress seemed out of it but eh who am I to judge?!

CPT chopped Salad with roasted chicken, one of the tastiest salads I have ever had at a restaurant. Fresh, flavorful, original, and filling. If you are thinking about a salad. stop thinking and order it already!!!

Cork & Pig 2201 Knickerbocker Rd San Angelo, TX76904‑5527 (325) 227‑6988 Stopped in for quick lunch and despite the extensively cool menu, I limited myself to the The Pig(pizza) and a cup of joe. Their menue includes appetizers such as «Angry Calamari»(I mean really, is there any other kind?), Smoked Trout Dip and Deviled Eggs w/Bacon, sides such as Roasted Peanut Coleslaw, Blackened Ribeye, Fried Chicken and Roasted Pork Chop, four custom sandwiches and 9 different kinds of Pizza. Coffee decent, bold, nothing special but quality and presentation for reals w my fave cup/and real cream The Pig Pizza($ 15) pepperoni, Italian sausage, panchetta [sic, unless it’s like krab], mozzarella, and tomato sauce. First bite: Love… if a fresh pig wanted to give itself to me, this would likely be how it was done. Only in a place like San Angelo, where caution mocks wind and devils may care would this kind of unadulterated pork and cheese defy anyone trying to get in its way. Cheese…of the perfect consistency and balance w/light layer of sauce on just outstanding dough product… lightly crusted on edge to a brown that appears slightly darker than normal and if slightly burnt, an acceptable crusty flavor. Meat is slightly lighter(in quantity) than I would like and a bit unevenly distributed but the flavor is unmistakably everywhere(except in crust). Pros: Fantastic fresh dough, cheese, pork and sauce in well balanced full flavor. Cons: Lightly burned crust. #WouldIComeBack #AbsoPizzaLutely Price: Moderate Ambience: Pretty good; slightly small inside space but very cool outdoor bar patio area.

This place is great. Close to the campus too. We decided to eat here because of Unilocal reviews. The Rosemary chicken with the peanut coleslaw was excellent. I was looking for a little lighter meal and that was perfect. My husband and son got the barbecue chicken pizza. I had a piece and it was delicious the sauce was tangy yet a little sweet. Perfect for barbecue chicken pizza. Caramelized onions could’ve been done a little more but they were still delicious. Large portions to. We were seated very quickly and everyone seemed very nice. Our waitress was great. She made sure we have plenty of drink refills. A little more expensive than usual restaurants in San Angelo but it was a nice change. The atmosphere was very inviting.

Wow, the food here is amazing. We stopped here with a group of 11 and sat outside on the misted patio. Everyone left happy, the service was good and food exceptional. Highlights were the Cuban sandwich and great peanut slaw, the gladiator pizza, and California salad. Apparently the deviled eggs were great too, if you’re into that sort of thing. I would go out of my way to stop here on a road trip.
