Checking the Unilocal Reviews of one of my favorite quick dinner stops and saw just the one-star review from 2010?! Really? Come on my Unilocalie friends — we can do better than that! With several Subways(four that I can think of between Sahalee and downtown Issaquah,) in the area — this is one of the better. Unlike other locations… I’ve never walked in and been told«Sorry, we’re out of meatballs and ham.» Haha! Nope, never heard that at the Pine Lake location… The Issaquah locations… Well, that’s another review perhaps. What makes this the best Subway in the area? — Always impeccably clean — Always well stocked with lots of veggies and meats — Always well stocked chips and cookie baskets — Always a clean, neat and tidy restroom — Even if it’s a busy dinner hour — the line moves quickly — The staff are friendly and know how to make a great sandwich — Very convenient location with lots of open parking on the corner of the Pine Lake shopping center. Not sure what that last reviewer was talking about — maybe it was someone’s first day? One of the reasons we like this Subway is they do employ some of the local High School kids — but not for long as it seems they are all bound for college and move on after a few months to a year. It gives it a real hometown feel — when it’s slower you can bet you’ll hear about the latest football or baseball game at one of the 3 high schools nearby! With it’s close proximity to Pine Lake Park(nearly across the street) and nearby Beaver Lake and Duthie Hill parks — this place is a favorite for grabbing a quick bite to take on the way to the lake! Good stuff! And one of the few always acceptable«fast food options» in my book!

I actually used to work at this Subway as my first job. As far as cleanliness, it’s quite good since everyone got so bored and cleaned even the cracks on the floor. Honestly, it had some major problems as well that I just could not help. The stove that holds the meatballs is broken, so they always burn. The manager used to swear and complain about the customers right in front of them, too. The food is fresh everyday though, and they really concentrate on the speed of the order here.

I went here for the last time 3 days ago. The punk ass high school kids they have working there couldnt make a paper airplane let alone a sandwich. I ordered a 12 inch meatball. The meatballs are kept at way to high of a temp and were burnt black and tasted like ass. The sandwich was put together so sloppily and the top of the bread was cut so thinly that it whole thing fell apart while I tried to eat it. I wound up eating about 3 inches of it before the rotten taste of the burnt meatballs combined with the fact that the sandwich literally fell apart in my hands while holding it made me throw it out and go to quiznos. I grew up in Forks and the subway there never had problems like this. Maybe the owner should tell the punk high school kids that work there that instead of bullshitting with their friends they should make the damn food first and listen to the customers when they state their order the first time so it does not have to be repeated 5 times.
