Best EDM nightclub in town. They bring great djs and it has really good and decent crowd on Saturdays. They have killer visual/lighting and sound equip. Best part, if you follow them on Facebook they post a link when you get on Guestlist with your friends for free, ain’t that cool?

It’s been ages since we’ve gone to a club/lounge in Utah. Since Sky is a new business, we expected the venue to look great. But, it’s your typical club look and it definitely doesn’t have the feel of a lounge at all. The entrance for guys is $ 15 per person and luckily it was ladies night(Sat.) so no cover charge for us. The music wasn’t great either, so for us it was the first time and will be the last time for Sky.

I love Sky, in my opinion it’s the only nightclub worth going to in SLC. Their best night is on Thursdays, when they usually invite more famous djs. Everyone that works there has always been so nice, and I really enjoy my time there. By far the best nightclub in the SLC area!

Apparently water isn’t a human right here… Even when your an injured athlete and you have to drink water with you anti pain meds. Not cool. At least the music and lights make up for it half way!

The VIP tables are located around the dance floor. You have to go down a few steps to get to the dance floor so the tables are actually higher above which I like cause there aren’t people dancing at your head. $ 300 bottle service to receive a table. Small outside area and only one main bar.

Good place to party. It is nice inside and cool if you like strictly house & trance music such as EDM, but has some snobby workers who can’t smile or see if your having a good time. If you ever go here, don’t use their bartender guy named PATRICK!!! He sucks at service & is not friendly. Why the heck are people in that kind of industry if you can’t please your guests especially when it comes to alcohol service! This is exactly why places can get bad reviews because of their crappy service! Customer service is the best thing given to keep your business strong. I hate going to sky now Bc of that jerk on their new opening SEVEN Sunday’s invite, but my friends like going here and everyone just needs to make sure not to use him whoever he is. They also have an upstairs balcony and garage like doors that open to get fresh air and peeps to go smoke outside, a bar, and one stall restrooms for men and women. you would need a wristband to go up there because it’s mostly invited guests by the table party which is good so there isn’t an overcrowd like downstairs.

It’s a great change to the SLC landscape of nightclubs. It is a nice place to visit to have fun with you friends or even solo. You can meet people and drink. What more do you want? Nicely dressed people with a very nice staff with clean bathrooms! Drinks where on time and tasted about right for SLC. Keep it up guys and thank you for having a place that is different from all the rest.

***ITSNOT A DANCEORIENTEDPLACE*** They either have Hick/rock or negative EDM music. Let’s just start with the Venue is great, and I had been here in the past when they actually played club music. Since last October, I feel like they’re wasting a great location to showcase music that is just annoying. If I want negative EDM tunes, I can hit up Area51, if that’s even still a thing. Or I can go to an actual concert. Anyway, I’m a little displeased, because you walk in and everything looks great. The people, the drinks, the interior, then you listen to what they’re playing. Your automatically disappointed. I just kept recalling the two nights I went there a couple months ago where it was normal and fun, and kept trying to give them a chance. This last time I went,(this last Thursday), it felt like I should have had glow sticks and freaking candy beads, cause I swear the DJ or whoever hired him was an idiot. Sky was once an awesome place, but is no longer a place that you can drop it low or get ‘turnt’. The only reason I gave them any stars is because they’re staff is awesome; but rarely can that make up for the reason you go out. I just want to end this with they have the poorest taste in picking DJs and utilizing their location to the fullest. Just because they had 2 good DJs, it doesn’t make a place. So far the music choice has just been lame, lame, lame, and if I stuttered, LAME. I’m sorely disappointed because I had such a great first couple times and I even told my friend. But every time we’ve tried to just have a normal, awesome dance experience, this place has hired another idiot to play. I’m sad, and can’t convey enough how much I wish they just play normal music and stop trying to be edgy because it’s irritating.

Overall I liked this venue. Cool atmosphere, nice staff. But after buying several drinks, you would think that a glass of water would be no problem. There is no water fountain, and the only option is to purchase a $ 3 bottle of water. I feel like if you are serving alcoholic beverages at a venue where there is live music and dancing, it would be appropriate to care for the well being and safety of your customers by offering water. It seems greedy and wasteful. Plastic water bottles? Come on guys.

I think it’s funny to read these other reviews. If you do you can easily see that the low stars are from friends of other clubs that are trying not to become insignificant in the wake of such an amazing club like Sky! I’ve been an avid club goer in Utah, Vegas and Southern California & this place is hot! Here’s the facts; First off it wasn’t just remodeled, it’s brand new within the last year. There are two large bars and 4 computers on one and two on the other. The bartenders are some of the best & fastest I’ve seen in Utah not to mention Patrick & Justin can make any drink in multiples faster than I’ve seen any bartender in Utah even with a packed house. If you went on a Friday and it was empty you were probably there at 930 right when they open and don’t understand night life and when clubs fill up. They do switch from club/edm music from time to time but have also landed some of the biggest names in the dance club scene. And that’s not easy to do in salt lake or with just having a new club. They have the some of the best & professional bouncers I have been around in all of Utah & Vegas. The drinks are very reasonably priced. And the VIP experience there is the best in Utah! Yes even better than PCL. The sound system & lights as mentioned are amazing and the club set up makes it impossible to not have a good view of everything going on! My advice is give this club a legit try on a Saturday night! And if your not hooked on your first night you may want to head to the westerner or maxwells because you don’t understand what a dance club is!

If you appreciate different types of music, Sky is the place for you. It doesn’t stick to one genre and the best way to keep up is to follow their Twitter/Instagram accounts. Surprisingly, if you’re like me and enjoy EDM, the DJs they bring for their Therapy Thursdays are awesome. Shows usually range from $ 10 — $ 40 per ticket. My favorite show was Galantis, though I didn’t think it was very professional. Our tickets we’re bought in advance and days before but we still had to wait in line 30+ minutes Ridiculous! If you have a paid ticket in hand, you should not be waiting outside that long especially because the place isn’t crowded. The line to buy tickets also should not be going at the same pace of the people thinking ahead. We waited so long, we resorted to paying an extra $ 10 a person to get in ahead of the line. Dumb but we felt it was necessary since it looked like all the people in line weren’t going to get in. Not a very good way to run the place. Apart from that«TRAUMATIC» ;) experience, I enjoy this venue a lot. Saturdays differ in genres so make sure if you do your research if you prefer not to hear something. Tables are nicely set up so you have a good view of the stage. Drinks are a little pricier. Make sure you remember the dress code on Saturdays and get a little dressed up. No hoodies or hats!

My first time at Sky was this past Saturday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. They had reserved a table with bottle service for $ 300 which wasn’t bad(this is Utah after all). After I gave the birthday girl’s name at the door, one of the bouncers walked us in and showed us to the table which was a nice touch. They also provided wristbands to tell who would be allowed in the area, but I don’t think they really enforced this. The venue is newly remodeled and the sound and lighting system is way better than any other club in Salt Lake. But if you’re not a fan of EDM, you probably won’t want to come here since that’s primarily all they play. There is also an upstairs level which is nice because it got super packed downstairs. However, the women’s bathroom was disgusting… There was literally sh*t on the toilet and the downstairs bathroom was ridiculously long. I wish there was an attendant to help speed things up. It was selfie central and a single hand dryer is not enough. Another issue I had was when I ordered a Long Island from a male bartender upstairs, he served me an AMF after confirming my order. Oh well.

More like 3.5. I like how swank this place is and it has the potential to be THE night club in Salt Lake. But all times I’ve gone, its been have full at midnight. The door guys have always been sweet and i have never paid a cover. Since seating is scarce i would recommend a table. I am sure they cost a fortune for Utah standards. People are mixed bag. Its mostly EDM music. Its next to other clubs so you can add it to your rotation. Hopefully it picks up.

I went here twice and not liking the music both times. I hated that it didn’t have any tune and just beats. I was drunk and still didn’t like it. I think they should charge less for women. I probably won’t go back there for overcharging reason. I had to pay entry fee, coat check, and purse check. Both times were so crowded and I didn’t know how to socialize with my friends without getting a table. Going out wasn’t an option cos that’s where people smoke and we’re not smokers. Apparently the other women reviewing this lounge weren’t too impressed either.

I like this place. It’s hip, elegant and fun. I’m not a big fan of the music though. Too much bass pumping and no actual tunes but later in the night when you just want to have a good time shaking your booty after a drink or two, it does not matter much anymore. I mean, this is not Katy Perry’s concert. The drinks are good and fairly priced. Mike is my favorite bartender. You should try the ‘Naughty Angel’. The dance floor can get pretty crowded as the night goes by. The crowds are pretty fun type, so don’t be too surprised when someone just grabbed you for a dance on your way to the restroom. They have small patio outside where you can have a conversation while taking a break from your cardio session inside. For now, this is my favorite bar in SLC.

Sky has a nice layout for dancing. I had a great time tonight. They brought in a great DJ, Paris Bolhm. The staff were really friendly, which I can’t say for a lot of venues, so that was cool. Great sound system, decent lights.

This venue is pretty awesome. The place is brand new and everything is so modern. Came here for a friend’s birthday and got a table on the dance floor. There was more than enough room for everybody. The staff got us in the venue and to our table in no time at all. The waitresses were nice but I wish they stopped by a bit more to serve drinks so we didn’t have to wait in between as long. The roof is awesome. It opens and closes so that when it get hot, they simply open the rooftop to let some air in. Pretty nice! I hope they start bringing in some awesome DJs because I will definitely be back for sure. One thing though, it seems like they enforce a pretty strict dress code so make sure you dress to impress here. Can’t wait to see where they take this place.

Love the location, love the venue. Hate the«DJs» that Sky lists as the ‘best in Utah’, when clearly they are not. Servers are hit or miss when it comes to table service. Favorites: –Retractable roof(they even opened it while it rained outside!)
