For quality of premium gas I’d give this place a 5. My car is always happy after fueling up at this location(they move through a lot of premium fuel which equals not ending up with stale gas in your tank). But the location can be a pain as anyone who spends any time in the Sugarhouse area knows– you only head South on 1300 East if you need to, because 99% of the time you’ll be stuck in traffic in this little corridor due to too many people in too little space. Their car wash is just okay. But on a good note, it is brushless and does have a pretty good amount of drying time. I avoid the inside of any gas stations unless I’m on the road because generally they’re just filled with over-priced junk food so I can’t really comment on that end.

The best thing that this Chevron station has going for it, is the fact that it is conveniently located right near the off ramp of the I 80. Yes, their prices could be a little better, and you can find a gallon of premium for about 10 cents less than they sell it for just about anywhere in the city. But you know what they say, location, location, location. The carwash attached to this gas station is barely adequate, yes it will clean some dirt off of your car, but if your car needs a wheel scrubbing, this is not your place. I also prefer car washes that give free vacuum time when you pay for a full wash. This one takes quarters. The inside of the mini market seems to be largely a waste of space. It’s certainly not organized as well as a 7 Eleven store, and one time I bought a sandwich there because I was getting on the freeway for a fairly long drive, and I needed to wait for a while to eat it because the turkey in the center of this sandwich was frozen solid. Nothing special going on here, it’s just a gas station, and a mini mart. It’s not a full service garage, attached to a gourmet restaurant. It is what it is.

My daughter used my cc to fill up her tank. Upon her return, I checked my bank account to see a 126.00 charge on my card. My daughter said she put $ 26.00 in her car. I went to the station only to be told that Chevron puts a $ 100.00 hold on your card any time you fill up there. The attendant advised me to come back tomorrow if the extra $ 100.00 charge was not taken off. The charge was still there today, so I went back to the store. The manager said it could be a few days before it was taken off. This gas station already has the highest gas prices in the valley! Couple that with the fact that you have to loan them $ 100.00 for a few days(That is if I EVER get my money back!!) on top of it! Steer Clear!

I’ll give this gas station a 2 for convenience, its right off I80. But it also has the highest prices around. I finally got the gasbuddy app which shows all the gas prices nearby. I’ll be going just down the street to Smiths now :)
