I would give 5 stars just for the fact that the guy that runs the joint is hilarious. I pay $ 3.50 just to interact with the guy but on top of that they give me a delicious banh mi sandwich as well which is a really good. The stars say 5⁄5 stars but really I give it a 10⁄5.

I asked for a receipt and the lady who runs the cart asked like I’m asking the world. All orders are taken via iPad and she manually skipped the screen where I can request a receipt. I was beyond infuriated. I am the customer don’t assume what I want. I will never shop here again.

This place is awesome for some Vietnamese food. On a cold day I would recommend the beef phở(or any day really). The pricing is great for campus prices and the taste is correct. I have tried phở and banh mi elsewhere on campus and those do not come close. I will definitely be stopping by this food truck more often for lunch!

When the food carts started coming to the U a few years ago, it was the best thing that happened to campus is a while. Finally a good variety of food! Café Trang is my go to place. It’s inexpensive, good variety, and the staff is super friendly(they remember you!). Worst time to go is right around noon — there’s a huge line and you will be waiting a while. If you go around 1:30 they are out of a lot of things. My favorite is lemongrass chicken and caramel pork.

If you’re here, chances are you are a student or employee of the university. The original and most popular food truck on campus. They open up between 10:30 and 11. And stay until 1, or 1:30 depending on the day. However if you show up after noon, you will end up waiting, if you show up past 1:00 they will be out of food. The Phở is PHOking fantastic. And their Bahn Mi is awesome as well, I have tried the other dishes such as the lemongrass chicken, but I am not a fan. The prices have gone up a bit with the new semester, but the Phở portions are still the same.(Everything else except for the Sandwich has gone down a smudge in size) I highly recommend it. Why? * Lewis Brothers takes too long * Food Cartel isn’t filling enough * The Curry cart is the least consistent offering. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed if you follow my tips.

Great staff and a great value with good food for cheap. The banh mi are delicious and full of veggies and meet. The spring rolls are fresh and full of goodness. I’ve yet to try the phở, that will have to be my next purchase. My only complaint is how popular it is, but that means it will be around for a long time.

Well as far as the food trucks go, this is the one for the best bang for your buck at the Marriott Library However as an update, it seems that since the new year(2013⁄2014) the portions may have gotten just a smidge smaller(can’t tell if it’s just the different color in container), and the prices have gone up, no longer being 5 bucks or less. Meat protein dishes now edge out at about $ 5.50, tofu dishes at $ 4, the bahn mi(sandwich still) still hitting the sub $ 4 mark. The phở now at $ 5.50 will be my next buy to see if portion size has changed there as well.

For 3 dollars the sandwich is super good ! You will have to wait in a long line if you go during the lunch rush and they can also run out of soup pretty early. And the owners seem super nice and super sweet ! Defiantly worth waiting in line if the line isn’t SUPER long …

I don’t know how many times I’ve eaten here since I discovered this food truck last year but I do know they have never served me a bad meal. The food is awesome, they are as quick as possible(given the usually long lines) and it is inexpensive.

This place is as good as it gets when it comes to mobile Asian food. Café Trang doesn’t have all of the items from their place in downtown Salt Lake City, but they kill with what they do! I’ve been eating here for over a year, since they first showed up. There were the first ones to arrive at the library plaza. The lines at first were small but as they were discovered they have grown to be over 40 people between 11−1pm during the week. They are here Mon-Fri except school breaks, but are also here in summer! Parked at the fountain on the south side, they serve lemon grass chicken, caramel pork, red curry chicken and more over rice. You get a large portion for only $ 5! They use plastic recyclable containers as well. The sides they have are fresh shrimp spring rolls or friend egg rolls. They have a Vietnamese glazed pork sandwich for just $ 3 that is better than Subway and almost as big(probably 9 in since it’s on a hoagie bun). The owner, Chris, is always super nice, friendly, fun, and often will give you a free egg roll. They do run out of food because they’re so popular. The first things to go are their beef noodle soup, then the rice dishes, then the tofu(Yes, I like the red curry tofu better than the chicken!). In the last few months other carts have pulled up but Café Trang still rules the plaza! Highly Recommend!
