Loved the food. The gyro was excellent. Fries were crispy and not to greasy. Prices were reasonable under 10 for a full meal. Would visit again.

The guy at the front counter recommended the gyro and he was right it was really good.

Delicious chicken! It’s moist and tender and seasoned perfectly. I can’t speak for the ribs but the chicken and gyro is really good. The fries are nice too and the lemon rice is perfect with just the right amount of lemon, not too overpowering like some greek places. Definitely a good spot for lunch or dinner. Super casual and the prices are good too.

Mediocre at best. Glorified fast food. Won’t be returning. Grungy restaurant with indifferent employees. Food took way too long to come out. Flavorless rice. Crap salad. Got the combination plate and was less than impressed especially for the price. For two people we paid $ 30(two combo plates + two drinks and 20% tip.) I was put off by the way they spray their rotisserie chicken with a spray bottle of who knows what before they serve it because it’s so dry and not fresh. I found the Unilocal reviews promising but was disappointed. The doughnuts next door are awesome though!!!

It was fine. I would go there again, but it didn’t blow me away.

The chicken is really good here. Have yet to try the ribs, but it is definitely on my list. Unless you just really love plain rice, I’d opt for the fries here. The rice looks like it’ll be really good, but it’s just kind of plain. You definitely come here for the meat. Whether you order a quarter chicken, kabob, or even the gyro meat, which yes, I am aware is not chicken, I’m just letting you all know, all of those that I’ve tried are really good, and I’m kind of a snob when it comes to food from this region.

Its my first time there and I ordered the Combination Plate and it was nice that I got a little side salad with a banana pepper on the side which was nice. And once the food came I was so happy to get started with it! The rice was just how the way I liked it and it came with flat bread and chicken and beef skewers and the flavor was just soo yummy

I got to say this place is gross all around from the outside it looks disgusting and from the inside it’s even more disgusting. They seriously need to do a remodel on this place as it is just really dirty. The food is very mediocre and I think it’s pretty interesting that they have room for a tip when you pay with a credit card. I’m just not sure why but expect a tip when you going to walk up to the counter order the food and take it with you. Also they always try to talk you into buying a soft drink I do not drink soft drinks thank you for asking each and every time. I think the prices are kind of high for what you get overall not impressed will not return

This place is GREAT! The couple who own and operate it are always there and always friendly. I get takeout at least once a week and it’s always ready and accurate, usually within 15 minutes of calling. I love the half chicken with rice and salad for like $ 7.99. Another restaurant I like sales the same thing for $ 15.99. There’s is slightly better, but not for double the price. I don’t recommend the ribs if you’re super hungry. They are good, just not a lot of meat on the bone. My mom loves the gyro but I’ve never had it. I always take the house dressing(creamy greek), very tasty!

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was delicious but a little heavy on the sauce(or mayo?). The heaping pile of rice was delicious. I’ll definitely be back to try a more traditional entrée, especially since it’s right next to the best donuts in two at Donuts & Deli.

This place is good! I bookmarked it after seeing all the good reviews. I got the gyro sandwich which was tasty! My boyfriend got the chicken and beef kabobs they were great as well. The only thing we thought could be improved about the meal was the rice, it didn’t have nearly enough flavor… very bland.

If ordering the chicken salad, request all white meat with basmati rice… divine! The salad dressing is amazing!

Hell no. Dry chicken, disgusting BBQ sauce on the ribs, stale pita, and their salad was a joke. The only good thing was the rice. Never coming back.

They take care of me, everytime. That’s what hits home the most when I think about the people from Best Chicken & Ribs. Whether you’re coming in for lunch or for dinner, their warm hospitality and great food will keep you coming back. After numerous times dining here, I have to say, I really enjoy their chicken kabob the most. Their rice is more flavorful in comparison to their competitors, also along State Street. Great portions, easy going atmosphere, good for anytime past noon. Eat here, be happy.

I am always a fan of little places like this. The staff is very friendly and the food is very authentic. The seasonings pair perfectly with the rice and chicken. You can get things like half of a chicken or some kabobs and even ribs. There’s so much more but you will just have to come and see!

Oh, delicious dive Mediterranean food! This place is awesome. Yesterday, we had take-out. The chicken kabobs and combo plate were amazing. And the owners are the nicest people in the world. This is THE local dive spot of the neighborhood. Nothing fancy, no frills anywhere, but so affordable and delicious. I’ve been frequenting for years!

A nice little hole in the wall. The ribs are melt in your mouth soft and very flavorful. The chicken has a nice seasoning on it and wasn’t dried out. All you have to do is place the order up front and take a seat, they do the rest. I don’t know what the seasoning is on the rice but it’s good too.

Tasteful and healthy meals prepared when ordered. This is one of my all time favorite spots for some grilled meats and healthier choices when grabbing lunch. It is family owned and operated and they have been in business for a long time. Try their half chicken plate or the cobonation platter.

I have been going here for like ten years. I love the kabobs, one beef and one chicken. This place never lets me down.

This place is great! So far I have had their chicken, gyro and chicken souvlak sandwiches, combination plate and can’t wait to try more! Everything is cooked and seasoned extremely well and the ingredients taste fresh.

Looks can be deceiving. I’d driven by this place hundreds of times without stopping. It’s now a go-to favorite. I even have their number saved in my contacts. Their gyros are the best I’ve had and their chicken kebabs are insane! Fries and rice both make tasty sides. Service is slow, so call ahead and take it home with you. Or plan to pull up a chair and watch TV for a bit if you dine in. The staff is great. Wonderful Mom and Pop shop that I’m happy to support.

Found this place by chance many years ago while commuting to graduate classes at the U. We have been eating here and recommending it to friends ever since. To tell you the truth, I’ve never tried the ribs. We go here for the chicken and beef kabobs. Even though the description is Greek, the owners are Persian. Speaking of the owners, they are the nicest proprietors you will ever meet. We’ve eaten there a lot and the lady owner always remembers our regular orders. On the plus side: The rice is very good. I prefer their style to some of the watery stuff I’ve tried elsewhere. The kabobs are exactly the way I like them. The salad dressing is very good. Our friends have tried the chicken and ribs and say they are great. They serve a nice tatziki sauce as well. The minuses: Although I love the place, it’s not perfect. The only thing that could make the kabobs better are bigger pieces of bell pepper and adding some onion would be nice too. The salad can be a little wilted at times. My biggest beef is with the pita bread. I know there are better pitas available locally. I wish they wouldn’t cut corners. It would actually be great is the served Iranian lavash bread. Despite its flaws, we will continue to eat here and recommend it to anyone. It’s one of our local favorites.
