If you are«of size» or not matching what the over-empowered hostess feels is the perfect customer, you will be seated in the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen even if the restaurant is completely empty. Most restaurants stopped engaging in this type of discriminating behavior years ago but not the Greene Turtle in Salisbury. Never going there again.

Went back in here yesterday and sat at the bar. Good experience, the bar tenders were very attentive and the food was good. I have an allergy and the manager came out and confirmed everything on the order. My steak was perfect. I’ll be back.

I don’t know why there’s so much negativity about the service, Chris is very knowledgable about the beers and very helpful with the menu. I would definitely recommend, service is great and the clientele is friendly!

Service was great thanks to Brye! Food was good too. Disappointed with the manager’s decision not to accept my coupon. I’ve been staying at the Residence Inn ten months, where they provide us 15% off coupons for Greene Turtle food. This was the first time I was told I could not use it with lunch items, if that’s the case, what’s the point of passing them out? Or at least state on the coupon it’s only good for purchase of full price meals and appetizers… if that’s the case. Waiting til the end of the meal, after presenting the coupon when ordering, to inform the customer it won’t be accepted is pretty lousy business in my opinion.

The service is just down right too nonchalant for my liking came here to watch the playoffs and amazingly the televisions worked well for all the other games but the NBA playoffs, like seriously the so called manager was snippy acting like we were bothersome considering we order appetizers, drinks and food to be treated with such disdain is just pitiful… we will never come back here I should of checked Unilocal first because obviously the establishment doesn’t because poor customer service seems to be the theme.

Since moving to the new location in front of the Mall, the vibe of this place has gotten much better. I have eaten appetizers here several times at the bar over a few beers with my buddies. Everything I have ordered has been quite good. No complaints over the food or service. Very nice selection of draft beers on tap. To the negative attitudes towards this place. take note. the locals don’t want you in here anyway. Go to Outback or Applebees… especially you clowns from Jersey and Pennsylvania in the summer. Great place to watch a game and have a beer.

I am extremely disappointed in the service/behavior of the staff at the Greene Turtle in Salisbury. I recently attended a gathering of fellow high school alumni at the Salisbury location; the woman organizing the gathering had just moved back from out of town and picked the Greene Turtle because it was a well known location that would have food options that could appeal to a variety of the people attending the gathering. Unfortunately she is not a sports fan and had no idea that the night she picked for the gathering was a Ravens game night. Two 4tops were reserved for our party and the first person to arrive was told the wait would be an hour. We were pleasantly surprised when a table became available after about 15 minutes, but pretty much everything went down hill from there. Due to unexpected events(stuck at work, sick children), some of our party were delayed in arriving. While we waited for them to arrive, we ordered drinks and appetizers from our assigned waitress. While we waited on our orders, the waitstaff circled like sharks, eyeing the empty table attached to ours like chum. A male staffer(stocky with a bald head) approached our table numerous times, crouched down at the level of the table top, and spoke to us in an incredibly condescending voice, saying«Hey laaaaadieeeeees…» before asking us whether the rest of our guests would be there soon. His tone of voice and body language were completely inappropriate and downright sexist. I can guarantee that if there had been a man at the table he would not have stooped by the table to speak to us or raised the pitch of his voice so obnoxiously. We politely asked for 10 more minutes to see if the missing members of our party would arrive, and when that ended without them showing we gladly gave up the extra 4-top that we weren’t using. But clearly the staff had us pegged as non-sports fans, assumed we wouldn’t be spending a lot of money that night, and were only interested in hustling us out the door. Even though we had ordered and emptied a bottle of wine, no staffer ever asked if we would like another bottle and our water glasses were never refilled. And the waitress only gave us about 10 minutes to work on our entrees before she returned to ask if we wanted desserts. We declined as we were still eating our entrees, and soon got another visit from Baldy asking if we wanted desserts(we were STILL eating our entrees)… and then again within 10 minutes he was back to let us know in the same sing-songy obnoxious tone that a nearby table had complained about the smell from one of our party’s(very lightly scented) e-cigarette. Given that I was sitting directly across the table from her and couldn’t smell it… I seriously doubt that any such complaint was made, but she put it away and we all finished our meals. Finally, we sat for a good 20 minutes with empty plates and glasses, waiting for someone to notice that we might want more drinks, dessert, or god-forbid the check. Then our waitress returned from her looooong disappearance to take our money. I realize that an empty table waiting for late-guests is a hassle in a busy restaurant. I get that. I also realize that we were four women in a sports-bar-restaurant on a game night and we weren’t typical clientele for that particular night. HOWEVER, paying guests are paying guests, and we did not deserve the disrespectful treatment directed at us by the bald male staffer. Had the staff treated us with respect instead of speaking to us like infantile nuisances, it’s entirely likely we WOULD have stayed and had dessert and drinks and spent a good deal of cash while we caught up with one another after a long time apart. Instead, we were made to feel completely unwelcome, spoken to like children, and practically shooed out the door. We went elsewhere for dessert and were treated respectfully. And I will never set foot in the Salisbury Greene Turtle again. Their food is entirely too overpriced to be worth sitting through such poor service.

We decided to check out the new location today since they moved from down the road. It’s nice inside. It has a lot of TVs and seems clean. I am however disappointed with my meal. I ordered the turkey wrap, 15 minutes later I was informed they were out of wraps. I said having it was on bread was fine. She then brought it out and it was mixed up with my mother’s sandwich. We ended up having to switch them and pick off what we didn’t want. The waitress seemed like she was sorry about it but I just wanted to eat at that point. I just was pretty disappointed. Update: The waitress had the manager come over and she comped our entire meal. We’ll definitely be back to give this place another chance.

TGT moved to a location closer to the mall over the Fall in 2014. So when we were on the Eastern Shore, we actually realized the move once we were leaving the mall and made note of it. Later that night, we came for dinner along with my parents and brother(party of 5). The wait was 30 – 45 minutes for our group, but that’s not bad considering it was the night after Christmas. There really wasn’t a lot of room to wait in the foyer, so we all saddled up to the bar. Why wasn’t I surprised that at 45 minutes, we asked the hostess where we were on the wait list and she said that she had already called our name? Fortunately, things were slowing down by then so we had no problem getting a table within a few minutes. So while we were there at the bar, the bartenders were nice and friendly. We had a few beers and watched a few of the games on tv. Our waitress was new and she was trying really hard. Honestly, she was upfront about it and it was clear to see that she was still learning the ropes. I’ve been there and done that(actually at a Greene Turtle, too!). My soup and Hubs’s salad both came with our meals and it may have been because we hadn’t specified how we wanted the appetizers? Regardless, the food was okay for your standard pub fare. I would recommend coming here for drinks and appetizers with friends.
