Came to the store specifically to but an outdoor umbrella, stand and cooler. We were told the cooler was in stock, paid for it and found out there were no more coolers. Justin offered us the floor model at a reduced rate. Great customer service, lots to choose from on outdoor furniture. No tax this weekend on any items, due to Memorial Day. Thanks Justin, for all your help.

I would love to say good things about Orchard Supply I’ve tried to get on their online member’s account 3 times and still won’t let me in a matter how time I reset the password and go today to replace a couple pieces and buy another part they can’t do a return at the same time as my purchase have to go to another line and then it takes 10 minutes for $ 0.79 return I finally got fed up and left that way they can keep their $ 0.79 and be happy what a waste of my time

Well this place use to be the best spot if you wanted to avoid the over sized stores. However, it has gone down the corporate drain. The bottom line, they wouldn’t take back a product that was sold to me already used. That’s what Osh in Salinas is concerned about, the bottom line, and that’s all. I asked the manager how it was I received a used product, she replied it was«unfortunate» and proceeded to walk away, before I could say anything else. That’s the manager! So to Osh I say«adiós» and to anyone looking for advice on small hardware stores? Support your local Ace! Those guys are knowledgable, friendly and comprehend customer service.

I like this store and think the negative reviews by people who had a bad day there skew the rating. They are right to Unilocal about it but I go there many times and never have an issue but don’t think to rate a hardware store. They are smaller than Home Depot and bigger than Ace Hardware. This means they are usually just right for what I need. I’m going to print out my $ 5 rewards coupon and do there today to buy a furnace filter. At HD that means a 20 minute trek and exploration to the back of the store. Last time I went to Ace they did not have what I wanted. At OSH they have the filter, it is in and out, if the checkout gods smile on you, with the right item and a decent price.

This store is a JOKE! So poorly staffed. Just ditched our shopping cart full of stuff because the line at their one open register was so long. Does this store have a manager? If so, he or she is asleep at the wheel!

I like this store…(all in all), but last 3 times I’ve been in… there’s an asian male employee who is very rude… always acts irritated, if someone asks a question… don’t know his name. Yesterday, I just happened to end up with him again… asked question at Service Desk… and he gave me a short, somewhat high tempered answer… just comes off with ATITUDE… I hear him talking smack to other employee’s…if cashier needs help. he smuggly says,(loud)…That’s not my job! Other that that pretty good place to shop!

I came here after being denied service at the Home Depot. Rude customer service. Anyway! I was looking for paint. First time shopper on this aspect. Totally clueless on this topic. However the gentleman(Let’s call him Kapernick, he straight up looks like him… SFQB haha) he was so friendly giving me insight on how I could grab the color I was needing. How the paints vary by base and how he could make any color. I gave em a chip sample I had peeled off the doorway to my shed and vuala! He took care of the rest. I was in aww how the colors mixed to make my paint. Soo cool. Only reason I knocked off a star was because it’s pretty pricy. But then again how would I know, I’ve never bought paint before.

I was very disappointed with the service at the store. I went to get a fire pit and needed assistance with the order. We asked several times for anyone to help us and it took over fifteen minutes to get service. We finally tried to pay for the fire pit and delivery, which took at least another thirty minutes. The clerk could not figure out how to place our order and there were problems with the register. They told us that delivery would not take too long and we’d hear from the delivery company within a week. ALMOSTFOURWEEKSLATER. I had to call the store(I was REALLY cutting them slack). I spoke to a very polite, apologetic, newly-transferred assistant manager who was so sorry that the delivery, «fell through the cracks.» He asked if we wanted the fire pit assembled and I said, yes. The delivery was sent within two days, NOTASSEMBLED. I wanted to like the store, we’ve gone there before, it feels like a small town store. But I can’t go to a store where you can’t get any help and things fall through the cracks.

This store is great! Love the people that work there, always very helpful, very friendly, you can find some really good deals, if you are prepping, or in survival mode to prepare for the zombie apocalypse, good place to get supplies! Chain saws, machetes, rope, duck tape, they even have a survival isle with emergency stuff! Very knowledgeable staff. I. Like it!

Generally knowledgeable staff who are always friendly. Good selection of most items. Prices are a little higher than at places like Home Depot or Lowes, but you get better service here.

Salinas is in the valley where big agriculture dominates, but in the residential areas, nearly as much attention is given to individual gardens which bedeck the stately homes. With the plentiful sun and seasonable weather, one can not help but feel compelled to spend their time outside. And the supplies you will need to cultivate a small garden, do some modest landscaping, or buy seasonal plants are all available at Orchard Supply. They have a large warehouse style floor with and adjacent greenhouse. They have just about anything you would need and at very reasonable prices. My needs were very simple; I just wanted to pick up a red pointsettia. I was happy with the selection they had, but I was even more impressed by everything else they had. Walking in here makes you want to start planning outdoor projects, but then you soon come to realize that you live in Manhattan, and that is nothing more than a fugue. But still, it can stir the heart. Recommend.
