As a marketing and leasing rep for a huge Monterey community; It’s important that I keep to my word when I say I’m going to do something.
The ‘family’ that runs this truck are very poorly organzied and fail at communication in the worst way.
We booked them for an event 2 weeks in advance and they assured me they’d be able to come.
I checked the following week, and sure enough I heard, «Yep, we’ll be there.»
2 days prior (Wednesday) to the event, they confirmed once more. I was satisfied. I made flyers and passed them out to almost 300 apartments. The turn out for these events is usually over 100 people when organized in this fashion. We call it «Food Truck Friday».
The day of (today), 3 hours before the time of the scheduled event, I call to ask if they accept credit card or will it be cash only. The response was «We’re not going to be able to make it, and I was going to call you guys…»
Going to? When? After everybody arrived and realized you weren’t here? After I look like an ass? When?
Very unprofessional, very disappointing.
These folks primarily speak spanish, (as do I) so I’ll translate it below just in case.
Como la comercialización y arrendamiento representante de una gran comunidad de Monterey; Es importante que guardo en mi palabra cuando digo que voy a hacer algo.
La «familia» que se ejecuta este camión están muy mal organzied y fallar en la comunicación de la peor manera.
Nos reservamos ellos para un evento de 2 semanas de antelación y me aseguraron que serían capaces de llegar.
Revisé la semana siguiente, y por supuesto que he oído, «Sí, vamos a estar allí.»
2 días antes (miércoles), para el caso de que confirmaron una vez más. Yo estaba satisfecho. Hice volantes y los pasé a casi 300 apartamentos. El giro hacia fuera para estos eventos suele ser más de 100 personas cuando están organizados de esta manera. Lo llamamos «Food Truck Friday».
El día de (hoy), 3 horas antes de la hora del evento programado, me llaman para preguntar si aceptan tarjeta de crédito o será sólo en efectivo. La respuesta fue «No vamos a ser capaces de hacerlo, y que iba a llamar a ustedes …»
¿Caminante a? ¿Cuando? Después de que todo el mundo llegó y se dio cuenta que no estaba aquí? Después miro como un culo? ¿Cuando?
Muy poco profesional, muy decepcionante.
