Maxine is wonderful she listened to what I wanted and worked with me.
I met with her in person and she had sample cakes that all tasted delicious.
I ended up with a three tier cake all different flavors lemon cake, chocolate and vanilla with fresh fruit and wonderful red roses that made my cake stand out.
My cake looked exactly as I envisioned: my disney wedding cake.
I would definitely use Maxine again.

Maxine designed a special all-​carrot Wedding Cake because we both decided that WE should have OUR favorite cake as our wedding cake. We had no idea that it would be the best carrot cake we had ever tasted. We CANNOT wait until next Valentine’s Day so that we can pull our top layer from the freezer and eat it!
But, that wasn’t even the best part … the cake was the most beautiful wedding cake I had ever seen. She brought all of the elements of the wedding, its colors, and even my wedding dress into the design. It was white, but with a fine lace background hand designed to match my all-​lace dress, she worked the same dark red roses into the cake design, and it was just the perfect size … not too large and boxy, and not too small so that we needed a back up cake. She knew exactly what size to bake to match the number attending the reception.
Maxine is a true professional. She made the Wedding Cake the Star of our Pebble Beach wedding and reception!

Although it’s been 4 years since I’ve seen Maxine, I can still recall the decadent flavors of her cakes. I do not recall how I found her, but she made my wedding day complete with a fantastic cake!
She bakes out of her home, and you can make an appointment with her for tastings. She did not have a website at the time, and I believe she still does not have one. She makes everything herself form recipes which she has created and mastered over the years. I believe I had chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, and lemon cakes, and all were divine. She does not freeze her cakes, so they are fresh on the day of your event. Her cakes are so moist that they don’t need fillings (such as raspberry) to put moisture back into the cake. She was extremely affordable, and she was very easy to work with, doing exactly as I wanted.
I will use her again for any big event I may have… perhaps she does simple birthday cakes… I’ll have to give her a call!
