I was glad to see this place change hands. The old management, when it was Giovanni’s, was rude, and I really didn’t like giving them my business, but they had a few menu item I had an occasional hankering for. The new management(as Vinny’s) is quite friendly and they still have the same few items that I enjoy occasionally: chicken parm calzone, chicken wings, barbecue chicken pizza. Unfortunately, some of the other things I’ve tried were not so impressive. The roast beef sandwiches are just OK, onion rings were too greasy, etc. This will remain my go-to place for the menu items I like, but I can only give it 3 stars for now. I’m hoping they will earn an upgrade in the future. Prices are in the same range as competitors in this area.

Tried this place twice and had something different each time. Bottom line its your average sub shop, with average predictable food. Over fried chicken fingers with average sauce for chicken parm, and 2 parts mayo to 1 part tuna for the tuna sandwich. Was really hoping for a local sub shop that would make the commitment to good food. Seem like nice people trying to make it work. The bar is low, and unfortunately the met it. My search continues…

I will give this place 5 stars. The best calzone I have ever had. I had chicken kabob salad too. OMG It was delicious. The girls in the front were very nice and friendly. I would defiantly recommend VINNYS to anyone that lives around here !!!

I was sad when Giovanni’s closed. Really sad. They made the only chicken parm calzone worth eating. The other Giovanni’s claim to make the same one, but they don’t. So yeah, maybe they were offering drugs with their pizzas, or whatever, but for the right chicken parm calzone, I’ll overlook a lot. I heard the new owners tell our licensing board that they were keeping the food and menu the same when they took over and changed the name, but I was a skeptic. Could they really continue the chicken parm calzone tradition? YES! YES! A thousand times, YES! Just as wonderful as before. Chicken still a little crispy, the rest ooey and gooey and cheesy and tomato-y enough to make an Andelman happy. All is saved! *Note, I’ve tried not another thing on the menu, no warranties stated or implied.
