Stopped in for some lunch while my truck was being worked on nearby. It was quiet but it was 230 on a Friday. Great atmosphere. Service was swift, the food was great and the drinks were strong. Good job!

Fabulous experience !!! I was visiting my parents in Salem & was in the mood for a chopped salad. I saw the Top Dog chopped salad highly acclaimed on Unilocal . My father & I stopped in for lunch on the 24th of December and we certainly were not disappointed ! Our server, Sara, was a very pleasant & efficient young woman, my chopped, grilled chicken salad was delicious — and Sara brought me a side of the honey mustard dressing and a side of a delicious house made thousand spicy dressing My father enjoyed a lovely fish sandwich that was prepared in a very light tempura-like batter. We had a salad prepared to take home to my mother — who also enjoyed it greatly. A very pleasant simple & delicious meal & experience !

Stopped in for dinner… service was excellent, although there were very few people. Fish and chips was routine add was the burger. but, the place was very festive, clean and had a tv at every table. liked that our shared décor from OSU and UO, as well as some other Pac-12 schools!

So about 8 members(6 women &2 men) of my family head over to Top Dog for a cocktail after dinner. The place was kind of empty, which we liked, but as soon as we walked in, this guy walks over to us and says” we close in 20 minutes”. No I’m sorry, just we’re closing. It was around 9 pm. What? Is there something in the water around 12th street that makes restaurant and bar servers inept? Now I understand why this place was nearly empty. This was the third restaurant/bar on 12th all located within a few blocks of each other with extremely poor service.

Despite good food and a decent facility they have hours that make it hard to live up to their banner telling you to come make top dog your trail blazer viewing spot when they stop serving at 9 p.m. small t. v’s hardly playing sports none they less. Rather be at Jake’s a half block down.

Stopped in randomly to catch the rose bowl. Great sports bar, mini tvs at every booth what more can you ask for. Good Bloody Mary’s, but their hot wings were breaded, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I ordered the chop chop salad. It was great! It was exactly what I was hoping for. Next time I will order it with grilled chicken rather than fried chicken. I also had the honey mustard instead of the thousand island. Overall, it’s a fine sports bar. Lots of tv’s and a variety of food options.

It was a casual relaxing experience after a long day of driving. After explaining what we were looking for, Red Hawk Winery Hailey said it was the sports bar that we would enjoy that was located between the winery and our hotel. The bartender Alex was friendly and enjoyable to visit with. Try the bacon fries… They do a great job of soaking up the wine so you can drive safely.

They have really great food every time. The american is good but the Chinese is off the hook delicious. I love the beef lo mein. The service is always good.

The place is pretty nice considering the territory. My one qualm: for a bar 45 miles south of the beer mecca of the world, they have a very poor beer selection. An IPA from Chicago? Really?

Your typical sports bar… done a-typically. Lots of TV screens. Beer memorabilia on the wall. High tables. Booths. You’ve been here, right? WRONG! Man, they have bar food, burgers and such. But I was shocked, absolutely shocked that they had Asian food. You need to know this because it’s unique and different. Also, it’s really, really good. Look, I’m from Baltimore and swore off Asian food long ago for various reasons, mostly because Chinese food is terrible. In Baltimore there’s Chinese takeout on nearly every corner and it’s all $ 4 for a plate of Orange Chicken. It’s all the same everywhere you go, the vegetables always tasted old and nasty, and the rice was always too dry, the chicken was always dark meat and of McNugget quality. Top Dog? Yeah, this stuff is Top Quality! This Asian food, probably best described as «American Chinese», is really, really good. Everything looked fresh and prepared in house. My bowl of Lo Mein was perfect in every way and was fantastic. A lunch for two, no drinks ordered, was about $ 15. !!!$ 15!!! I want to say this place is a sports bar, and it is. But it’s also much more than that. It’s cheap and clean and the food was stellar and in a unique atmosphere. A total gem. Did I mention the service? Dude, it was really good too and was the thing that barely stands out as worth mentioning. Go to Top Dog!

I love the chinese food they serve here. I can only vouche for lunch time, but the service is great and the prices are fair. The rice and yakisoba bowls are great, and I know the burgers are good, anything else I can’t say.

Nice ambiance, nice people, great food. I had a burger and fries, which was quite tasty. My wife got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and I was jealous. Like I said, the burger was great, but the rice bowl was excellent. Now I want to go back and try the yakisoba!

Surprisingly really good. From the outside it just looks like someone invested way too much money, but the inside… oh yeah it looks like that too. Hundreds of flat screen televisions, pricy décor, and comfy booths are what you’ll find here. But what else you’ll find it pretty decent Chinese food. Try the yakisoba noodles. The burgers are really good too. Seriously, try it out.
