The two bedroom apartment I lived in was nearly 1000 square feet with 1.5 baths, a pato, and storage area. For $ 600 a month. The downside is driving past the people on the curb constantly smoking cigarettes in their pajamas, and the ugly paint everywhere. There is little crime, and some feeling of community.

Not the best and not the worst. The rent is super cheap for the size of the units(very BIG). And it’s smack in the good part of South Salem. The bad? Kids everywhere — especially when it’s not raining. I’m surprised a kid hasn’t got killed by a car yet. Very unsafe for kids to roam free — and all the parents there seem to let them roam free and ride their bikes without supervision! Boone Rd is SUPER busy — traffic at all hours except from 3am to 5am. Fire engines and ambulances go by ALLTHETIME. The office staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. So for the price, the location… I’d rent here. But once I leave, I ain’t ever coming back… basically, ’cause Boone Rd. drives me INSANE. Rent is month-to-month, which is very cool.

Dumpiest townhouses in South Salem – and the prices for them reflects that. I applied for a three bedroom that was priced at $ 696 a month(just one dollar more than I was paying for my current place). I was denied by some screening company, and the manager of the apartments refused to tell me why. She referred me to the screening company. When I contacted them, they refused to give me information, too. It’s not really helpful to deny a prospective tenant and not give them a reason. Maybe I just wasn’t classy enough for this dump?
