Overall, I am not unhappy with Buster’s(now called Buster’s Street Mart). They have a good veggie selection, but I think it was better under the old management. They used to have fresh bread daily & I haven’t seen it recently. The fruit selection isn’t great. They also sell marinades, juice, milk, ice cream. Prices are good, definately better than a supermarket. I find the location a little hard to get in & out of.

I have to disagree with Lyndsay. Since the new management took over, they don’t have fresh flowers and very few plants. The selection has decreased and the prices have increased. I expect Buster’s won’t be around too much longer — it seems I am not the only one disappointed — there are usually very few shoppers there when I stop in now. It is a shame, because I was a huge fan of the Buster’s in North Beverly and the new one in Salem was convenient.

Recently under new management(as of June, 2006), this is an institution in Beverly/Salem. It used to be located in North Beverly, but that building burned down, so they moved it to it’s current location. Mostly, Buster’s sells produce, but they do sell some dairy(Richardson’s!) and flowers/plants. The produce is really, really cheap, but sometimes you have to dig through the bin to find something acceptable. I would say that since shopping here, my husband and I have cut our produce bill in half!
