Pizza was great, with a terrific beer selection. Not a fantastic place to sit down and eat with the family or a group of 5 plus. Which is why the 3 stars, no organization for seating. On a Friday night you must fight for a table. However with a couple of friend to sit at the bar and have a few beers and some pizza, 4’s

I went here for the Patriots vs. Giants game, and the atmosphere was great! The waiters were getting into it, one came over to our table whenever he could to talk to use. The owner went around towards the end of the night and offered us some free cinnamon knots! The pizza was great, and it was a good game as well! Definitely an experience I would like to re-experience if I had the chance

Very cool atmosphere and great beers on tap. I asked for something on my wings and they said they wouldn’t do that. Mind you it was very simple what I asked for and any other place that serves wings has done it for me when I ask. Next improvement they need to make is add more staff for the table area. I am not sure if they were short staffed that day but when you have as many tables as they do, I expect them to have somebody checking in on us for drinks and food. They also didn’t have pitchers of beer. Which I felt was odd because sports was on every TV, which were great TVs. I’ll definitely give this place another try because I liked the atmosphere and feel to the place. They are on the cusp of being great. They need to get a liquor license.

A great buildout, wings were great but the pizza was god awful … You can tell the dough is old and where is the sauce I couldn’t even enjoy the cheese as it fell off before I even took a bite. I heard the«Garlic Knot«was to die for but you can even taste the garlic. Bad operation the should have full service. You walk in sit down then you have to get back up order at the counter and sit down then if you want to order something else you have to get back up and when they bring it out the service has no idea where to go. It’s literally your job to flag down the waiter /waitress. Very disappointed. A lot of tvs and a good place to enjoy a beer and watch the game

Love this place! We’ve been here about 5 times and ordered take out once. Their pizza is very good; perfect crust, sauce, and toppings. This is actually one of the only pizza places in the area of salem/derry that we like. We’ve also had the pulled pork sandwich and a couple appetizers and it was was very good. All of the staff have been very pleasant. Definetely recommend this place for good food and a casual atmosphere.

Pros: atmosphere and staff very helpful and pleasant, great menu… would like to try the burger, if I end up there in the future. Cons: not a fan of the tangy sauce… has too much of a bite to it. Also, a lot of the guys cooking have seriously full, bushy beards which kind of skeeves me out.

We heard about this place from a friend that recommend it. He was right, this place definitely lived up to the recommendation. The Bartender’s name is Bo and he was awesome. The beer selection was incredible, the variety and quality of choices was phenomenal. Then came the Sicilian sweet Italian, it was delicious and crust was unbelievable. We will definitely come back with the kids soon.

Tonight we had the Texas Smoked BBQ burger and wings w/southwest sauce… OMG! Amazing! The burger had just enough BBQ sauce on it to complement it. Not overwhelming… and for for the wings… this is my sauce of choice!!! Spicy and tangy!!! Awesome. The addition of pumpkin beer all night was just a plus.

Well… really wanted to try this place since it opened! The pictures in the advertisements looked fantastic. It’s just a bit far for me, but tonight I made the trek for a hopefully great NY style pizza. Disappointed, to say the least! My gf and I ordered a calzone, a combo(med chz pizza n pasta) and sweet potato fries to go. Went to sit at a table to wait and order a beer thinking it was part of the ‘bar/lounge’ area. Umm, no. Have to go to the bar to get service, even if the bar is full. With all of the employees walking around bussing tables, cleaning, coming out of the kitchen to watch the games on the tv’s, someone could have taken a drink order and passed it to the bartender. Now an employee decides to come up to us and ask if we had an order under the name of? Yes. They ask your name when you order, but don’t call it out? No. Ok great, excited to get home and eat it! Home now. Open pizza, burnt. Crust like cardboard. Open calzone in pizza box? Nope, sorry! Another med chz pizza, also burnt! Open sweet potato fries… soggy(all of them)! The pasta was ok, but I’ll never get it again. I wouldn’t recommend it. I gave two stars, instead of one because when I called about the mix-up, the girl on the phone was polite and sympathetic. She over-comped me in gift card form. I also want to give them another chance. They are too new to have such a poor offering at this time and just maybe, whomever was cooking tonight had a bad night. I will definitely follow up and hopefully this experience will have been a one-time only, bad nightmare.

While out looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch with a friend, we noticed the sign for this new place and it wasn’t one I seen before so we thought, «hey, why not give it a shot?» I thought I was going to walk into your everyday takeout place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sports pub feel… and all the beers on tap?! We totally missed the sign stating the rules for serving/seating, but the bartender explained it after we sat for about 5 minutes at one of the inside tables. We ended up moving to the bar to get full service. We had a meatball and ricotta pizza, along with buffalo wings… everything was great(especially the pizza dough). My suggestion for improvement would be to have a waitress serving the tables… its kind of an odd setup. I’ll definitely be back(to the bar for full service, of course), and look forward to trying other menu items.

This place makes some of the best wings I’ve had in New England. They’re really nice and crispy which makes a big difference. I had an eggplant parm sandwich which was delicious and decently priced. The garlic knots were kind of «meh» but the other food we had made up for it. Plus, they have a great tap selection. The outdoor seating didn’t look very inviting(caged in concrete patio overlooking a parking lot and RT28) but the inside was pretty cosy for a pizza place(not particularly cosy for a pub, but clean). It has a really unassuming exterior and we probably wouldn’t have gone here were it not for the reviews but this is our new go-to for sure.

We tried the new Granfanallys this week on Thursday night. Quite confusing when entering. Should we wait to be seated? Seat yourself? Then find out there is no table service, order at the counter(except at the bar, there is service). We ordered beers as they had a fantastic line of local New England brews on tap. Got a large salad(a tad wilted) but tasted ok. Pizza comes in two different ways– NY style or Roman. We got NY style and it was very good. They gave us paper plates to eat the pizza with :-(.

Our first visit. Definitely not our last! Sunday night’s the special is 2.00 off the Sicilian pizzas. Worth every penny. My husband and I ordered the Joe Nassar(chicken, fresh Basil, lots of garlic and olive oil). Everything was fresh and tasty. The chicken wings were great too. There is a variety of beer on tap and the bartender was friendly and helpful in his suggestions. We will absolutely return! Also, the pizza was quite large… would feed 3 – 4 easily.

I have visited this restaurant for lunch twice this week. My brother turned me on to it saying it was a great place to pop into to grab a burger and a beer. He was right! First visit we sat at the bar and I ordered the blue cheese bacon burger. It was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. It came with the French fries similar to what Bishop’s in Lawrence used to serve(If you bring some home for later remember, don’t use a microwave to reheat, toaster oven all the way!). Huge selection of beers but I was drinking water. I grilled the bartender on what the story was with this place… who are the owners, where did they come from etc. He was a good sport and told me he was the owner and family was originally from Long Island but moved to Vermont. They opened up a place in Lebanon NH that grew into a dozen restaurants. He went into the beer industry after college for a few years until he decided to open up his own place with his family’s support. Second visit I had the steak & cheese calzone which was huge. Definitely could feed two adults! It was delicious and I ended up bringing half of it home where it was stolen from the fridge by one of my kids and split with my wife. They only serve beer & wine, no hard stuff. When asked why the owner said they want to be known for their food first, not as a bar. No f bombs tolerated and kids are always welcome as this will be family friendly. Can’t beat that. I was kidding around with the woman behind the register about who«Marie» was who was the maker of the«Marie’s famous cheesecake» and found out it was her(she looks too young to be the owner’s mom though!). I bought a piece of chocolate cake and a slice of cheesecake for home. My wife had the cheesecake and she said it was awesome. In summary, everyone else stay away and don’t crowd me out of my new favorite spot!

Granfanally’s is rather minimally decorated, with tables and chairs that look like the standard from a restaurant supply catalog. It has a rather large bar with seating for about eighteen. Between the tables on the patio and inside there looks to be enough room for maybe twenty groups of four. I had the traditional pizza; Sicillian pizza and burgers, pasta and sandwiches are available but I can’t speak to those. The New York style pizza has delightfully thin crust, very chewy with a bit of crispness on the edge. The toppings were flavorful and slightly more plentiful than normal. The star of the pizza, though, was the sauce. It was spicy and distinctive, suffering from none of the sweetness most pizza places insist on putting in their sauce. It may be the best sauce I’ve had on a pizza in the last few years. I’m definitely coming back, even though it will take a special trip.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. They have a fairly large bar inside with a great selection of beers, including Switchback, Tuckermans, and Greenhead. It’d be great to see an even more local beer like Kelsen or Rockingham on there too but I was happy with the selection. I believe it was the owner’s mother who told me her son use to work for several beer companies so has a passion for it. Other than the beer, the service phenomenal. Our bartender was awesome and the manager/owner came over to us and everyone else to check on things. We got chicken wings, which were pretty good but the garlic teriyaki sauce the bartender recommended really made it. I also really liked that you could get pizza by the slice from several options they had so it was a perfect portion. The garlic knots were also wicked good and definitely recommended. Next time I plan on trying a burger since they get their meat from Tuckaway in Raymond. Last note — if you sit at a table(they have both indoor and outdoor seating) you have to order at the counter, which isn’t really a big deal since it’s a relatively small place. Or you can make life easier and just sit at the bar!

Finally, this is what I’ve been waiting for. A pub close to home, with an awesome beer selection on tap. I had the pizza and pasta combo and it was huge and delicious. The pizza was awesome too. The garlic knots and cinnaknots were great. The service was quick and friendly. We will be back. J Michaels is going to be in rough shape when people find this place.
