Definitely has some oddities. My husband had to leave after seeing the baby coffin with old tin type pictures of antique baby dolls in it. My 11 year old son got around to the pictures of penises and the castration kit pretty quickly. There were interesting cases with human bones and old medical tools that, for me, were interesting to look at. I specifically sought out this place to see it. I guess it was too creepy and weird for my husband and my little guys. They practically jumped out of the stroller the moment they heard the creepy music. So… All in all, a cool experience for some… Not necessarily all. Glad I saw but I’m not sure I would go back. More like a weird museum for me!

I came here specifically to go to Fivehands. I had it on good authority that it was a smaller version of the oddities shop in CA. We wandered in and the owner was super friendly and super helpful. Immediately he engaged us and we asked a lot of questions. There was a lot of, «what’s this?» «how much is this?» All of which he gladly answered and actually talked in detail about a lot of the pieces. The shop is on the medium side, and when you come in, you are surrounded by things all along the walls with some glass cases in the middle of the store. He sells everything from bones, encased bats in resin, skulls, tintypes, relics, antique items, posters, and much more. I picked up a few things: a bat, a tintype, and some skulls. He gave us a good deal on everything and we’re glad that we came. There was something for all price ranges, from $ 20 and up. The tintype I bought was $ 20. Of course it doesn’t hurt that the owner is a cutie.
