I used to love the salads at dina’s. I’ve been going for years. Last time I got a Greek salad to go. When I got home I saw that there was no feta on it. Thinking this was a fluke, I went back today. The same thing happened. Also, the roast beef sandwich my grandmother got was ice cold. I’m disappointed and will no longer go there.

I have ordered from this place for over a year and 5 months. First I want to say this has no reflection on the delivery guy, He is courteous, and does his job fabulous. I tip him very well. I have come to the conclusion tonight I am no longer ordering from this establishment as many deliveries have gone wrong. Tonight I ordered a pasta dish w/Spaghetti… at 4:45pm. Received order at 5:36pm. called to say my order is wrong. The girl on the phone said she will tell the owner and she will call back. The conclusion to this story is at 9:41 pm. I called Dina’s back and the girl who never called me back with my answer about the mistake of my order., said she talked to the owner and she is willing to give me ½ credit. I wanted to talk with the owner, and to be called 3 hours later as she said it’s Friday night and we’re really busy, I really don’t care. I am a regular customer. So Dina, you chose to ignore me. Your loss not mine. There are plenty of fabulous take-out in Salem.

My daughter bought $ 25.00 worth of food LASTSATURDAY and has been snowballed since, she has called and the manager has avoided her calls for the double transaction and had the ordasity to ask my daughter to bring in her bank statement because she doesn’t believe what she says! Their food is good I hear but they seem to want to rip people off

I’ve been a Dina’s customer for years. Love the food when I order in the restaurant. However the last two times I’ve had delivery(tonight included) the food arrives luke warm or cold. I’m talking about subs and fries. So after a few weeks ago since our last problem, I figured I’d give them one more try. I even spoke to the person taking my order about my hesitancy to order again. And still my steak tip sub and fries are luke warm. And the bag arrives wet and ripped. I called the restaurant, asked to speak to a manager, for which no one was available. I voiced my disappointment and the person was«sorry that I felt that way». The correct answer is «How can I make it right?» My original instinct was right. Their take out menu is no longer in my house. Spending $ 30 two different times for a cold meal just really irritates me. You’ll have to do much better to take my money Dina’s.

Good place… their Greek salad w chicken beats any comparable options in Marblehead. Very fresh and generous portions. Thanks Dina’s — I’ll be back soon.

My boyfriend and I tried this place on the recommendation of a family member and we were not disappointed. The young man who took our order was very friendly. I had a steak tip salad and my boyfriend had a roast beef dinner. The salad was awesome– even better than my go to place for years actually. The roast beef was good too. Prices were fair and portions were large. Woman working up front asked us how our food was and was very friendly. I know that’s not necessarily a huge deal but I feel like it’s something that doesn’t often happen in the typical roast beef place. I will absolutely be back.

It’s 5:30 in the morning and I’m writing this review to help prevent anyone from going to this place and getting food poisoning like I just did last night. I ordered the chicken broc ziti around 9:30pm last night, and I should have known to not eat it as soon as I opened it and saw the ¼ inch of grease at the bottom of the pan and the miscolored broccoli. But alas, I was starving so I began to feast. Horrible, horrible mistake. Immediately after eating I was struck with horrible stomach cramps and that did not end well in the bathroom. Went to bed at 12 and woke up at 5 with the urge to vomit. I did, and there it was. That disgusting chicken broc ziti. Please avoid this place at all costs unless you want food poisoning. THEYDONTWEARGLOVESWHENHANDLINGYOURFOOD. The girl up front was nice, so I’m putting all the blame on the sweaty pig looking guy in the back cooking the food with the back door wide open. I would love to see what their fridge looks like and how many health codes they are violating. I plan on calling the health department when they open today, considering I am already wide awake thanks to the bacteria-fest I puked up earlier. I should have added a photo of my puke in the toilet to put as theirs, because thats what their food will make you do. This was my 2nd time ordering from them. First time I had a steak bomb, and it was decent. This time, no. Never going back to this dump. Gordon Ramsay should be at this place.

I haven’t been here in months but the owners wife is nasty. She is always right she is very stingy. I used to come here all the time with my family. There are a few younger women who work here they are very pleasant I think one of the men who works in the kitchen is the owner but he never tells his wife not to argue with the customers. I remember I asked for extra dressing and she went on to tell me how its not free I legit was like wow I just gave you $ 50 bucks for all my dinners she wouldn’t give it to me without charge. I haven’t been there since October 2012 and wont go back it was always something when I went in here she never smiles she never says hi or thank you.

I’ve lived in Salem for quite a few years now and have tried probably every pizza joint in Salem. Thus far, Dina’s is the best yet. Fresh ingredients. Crust is not soggy and just perfect. Not skimpy on the toppings, and the establishment is spotless. I have not had delivery yet as we have just picked up our pizza. So, I can’t say how quick they are about that, but as far as the pizza is concerned, the best in town! As a bonus, they also have great prices! My husband says they have the best pastrami subs too. Seriously you got to try this place!

I usually go here for Lunch and get their Chicken Kabob salad. Hands down the best Greek dressing I’ve ever had. I give that dish 5 stars! Their roast beef 3 out of 4 times is amazing as well.

I’ve been going to Dina’s for 2 years — until now. Time to really rate them. I told myself I would never go back because they never ever use gloves and I have had some dry-ass roast beef sandwiches there; but it’s Salem… And the roast beef here is simply inconsistent. So Dina’s food is okay, and in fact one time I had one of the best roast beef sandwiches I’ve ever had… but as I said, they are pretty inconsistent with that. I was going because it was very convenient, and occasionally the food can be great. On my last visit, I ordered a super roast beef and a haddock sandwich. As soon as I bit into the haddock, my first mouthful had two 2″ long pieces of fish spine in it. They were sharp, easily could have cut my mouth, and I completely lost my appetite. I also lost my patience, as it happened 3TIMES out of the maybe 5 times I’ve gotten haddock there. This time, I thought«ugh you must be kidding me». I brought it back, but I was refused any compensation for the completely uneaten sandwich I had sitting there in a bag on the counter. Before asking if I wanted another one or anything, the cooks were arguing with the girl at the counter over it. She apologized for them and said the owner would call; so glad I left my number for no reason, since I didn’t get a call. When you order a chicken sandwich, you don’t get chicken wings in a bun, and have to pull bones out as you eat. Because you don’t eat the bones. Because it’s a sandwich. Because sandwiches are things that you eat completely. Because you aren’t supposed to pick things out of your mouth while you’re chewing. I actually told my roommate that I knew they were going to take it as an insult, but I thought I would at least get a refund/they would offer to make another sandwich(which I would have turned down). The roast beef was horrible too, it was really tough and about half the meat came out of the sandwich when I took one bite. There was also very little meat… It’s 2012, if you want to operate a business, you can’t just tell your customer to piss off if they don’t like what they’ve paid you for. They shouldn’t have argued, they should have offered a refund or to make me a new sandwich. I was a regular customer, I will never go back, and I will let every ear know not to go as well. RUDE!

Though I cant speak for the seafood, I can certainly support Dina’s roast beef. In an area inundated with roast beef joints, this place certainly holds its own. The staff is friendly and the prices fairly average, making this place a frequent stop for me. Unlike some of the other RB joints around, Dina’s rarely gets too busy, letting me get my fix fast. Getting delivery can be risky, or even carrying it home as well. Some of the sandwiches are quite juicy and tend to leak/soak your bread if you’re not careful. Although the staff is friendly, on more than one occasion myself or friends have had parts of our order forgotten. That being said I still go here enough to warrant my roommate demanding I get something else besides a big beef, so I branched out to buffalo fingers, another personal favorite. I was not disappointed. Since then I’ve jumped around the menu quite a bit and been pleased by my experience

Tonight was our first time ordering from Dina’s over the other pizza/sub joints around Salem, and it will most likely be our last. While all the food we got would have been delicious when fresh, by the time it got to our house, and we opened it, everything was so soggy it was all falling apart. Out of the 4 people who got food, 3 of us got subs that most of us had to eat more as open faced sandwich mess’s all over our plate’s/ laps/floors, and it was easier to eat them with a fork and knife… pretty much everything was dripping with condensation(sandwiches, fries, sub rolls) and was one of the worst first impressions we’ve ever had with a restaurant. We’ll give you the benefit of the doubt Dina’s…delivery of fresh food sucks and is a pain in the butt. However, try to take into account the shelf life of your dishes when they’re being transported. Especially how the massive amount of soggy fries affects the rest of the food you wrapped up with it.

dina’s has the best french fries and the portions are huge. the small is equal to a large along with their chicken fingers. their sanwiches done in roll up are always fresh and again big in size for the money. the pizza i’m not too impressed with though. need to thin out the crust and sweeten up the sauce., the staff here are very friendly and reconize me when i walk in the door.

I have gone to Dina’s on numerous occasions. I have gotten the Itailian Sandwich, Greek Salad, Pepperoni Calzone, Meatball Calzone and Cheese pizza. With every item I have gotten, I have thouroughly enjoyed it. All the items are made fresh and are filling– beyond filling. They have left with me a 2nd meal. The staff is friendly and efficient and the prices are reasonable. Location is ok on Canal street and parking can be tricky– especially backing out of a space onto busy canal st with traffic that is not good about stopping.

My original review raved about it’s chicken for Chicken Parm sandwiches: «It’s good quality chicken vs. those preformed patties like Salem House of Pizza serves…» Well, I got an unpleasant surprise a couple months ago when I ordered my usual and what appeared but the processed patties like other places use! So, I tried out a new place that has exceeded my expectations — Christina’s! See my review for them…
