Like this place. I’m a fan of smaller, non-chain places. The food is good and the prices reasonable. Freaking love the blue cheese dressing. Be sure to ask about the off-menu peppers the owner makes.

The food isn’t bad. Service is far from great. Some portions are large and worth the high prices. Others are definately not. Alcohol is extremely over priced.

This place is a family favorite. Pizza is great, and I love the lasagna.

Went back to my hometown to visit my father, we decided to just keep things simple and order a carryout pizza for dinner. I vaguely remember that 25 years ago, this was my favorite pizza in town. Not that we had it every week. Or that I knew any better back then(Pizza Hut was fine dining to me at that point). Or that I was feeling all nostalgic for the long lost Derienzo’s pizza of my cherished youth. But I did remember it being good. It had a thicker crust, not quite pan pizza, but«fluffier» than a Manhattan style thin pizza; a sweet, nicely herbed sauce; and generous toppings. Now, 25 years later, my mom tells me a new owner took over from the original family a few years back … but wouldn’t you know it, the pizza is exactly like I remembered it. Still quite good. We did carryout($ 10 for a large 3 item pizza! Awesome!), but the dining room was doing a brisk Sunday night business dishing up $ 6.50 spaghetti and meatball dinners. While waiting for my pizza, I overheard a couple telling their waitress that their lasagne«was an outstanding meal.» Recommended. A dependable, down-home midwest-immigrant-family spaghetti house that also makes good pizza …
