This review is for the Coffee in Motion on South Commercial. I splurge a few times a month and get a coffee from there. Even though I am not a daily regular, the Barista remember’s me and my dog. I absolutely adore her, and feel bad I don’t know her name. She spoils my dog rotten with treats. Yesterday(after asking first) she gave Addey a doggy bone with whipped cream on it. Omg! He was thrilled. As for me, I got spoiled with an absolutely delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake Latte, blended. I think it may be the best drink I’ve ever had, from anywhere! She uses real Pumpkin in them, and she knows my preference of minimal sweetness, and get’s my drink perfect everytime. She is so sweet! Always positive and upbeat. I can’t say enough about her and her amazing creations.

Great delicious breakfast sandwich! And the dirty Chai latte with vanilla is quite great as well!

Nice place, decent location. Chai lattes and mochas among my favorites and chai lattes are something that tends to be hit and miss with a lot of coffee joints. Friendly staff and lots of incentive to make plenty of return trips.

Substandard iced chai after a ridiculously long wait. The iced chai was literally choking me. It had a dark chocolate milk looking consistency with a dark brown syrupy looking viscosity collecting at the bottom. One sip made me feel really ill and I had to throw it away. Will never go here again. Would not recommend to a friend.

We came here completely on a whim on our way to Silver Falls in June, expecting to just do a quick stop for plain coffee, and the menu came as a pleasant surprise. So much variety! And the casual banter from the workers and the coffee flavours were even better — I had an americano with a quarter of my friend’s dirty chai mixed in, and it was divine. She loved her dirty chai, not having had one in years, and the Grasshopper was lauded as well. Excellent coffee!

Very friendly staff. Always been quick to order and get our stuff. Never had to wait in a long line to get our coffee. Plus I love the bus.

Only coffee place you will find me going to. Forget that place that started in Seattle or that one that starts with a D. Coffee In Motion makes the best Chai tea. My husband loves there White Chocolate Mochas. They have a great crew working the and I love the fact Josh roasts his own beans. Also there prices are really good. They have specials all the time. If I know I am heading to Portland so convient to have it before you get on I5!

I was surprised by the quality of the breakfast bagel and espresso. I have pretty high expectations in this arena and I rarely stray from my staple coffee joints. I am going to have to add this one to the list for places I’ll stop on a regular basis.

I housesat for a friend in Salem for 2 weeks and just about filled both my drink & sandwich cards during that time, so obviously Coffee In Motion gets 5 stars from me! The Mexican Mocha was a favorite. It was rich & flavorful without masking the delicious espresso goodness. The bagel sandwiches were just awesome. The bagels are soft & chewy inside, with delicious, fresh ingredients. In true Oregon fashion, the staff is more than happy to tell you just how close by all the local ingredients originate. My only complaint cam when I decided to get my last stamp & treat my host to free coffee on our way to the airport my last day. We arrived at 4am to find Coffee In Motion CLOSED. CLOSED! It’s a 24 hour shop! How was it closed?! So disappointed. I left my cards with my hosts and hope they got use out of my free drink

I saw some great reviews about this place, so my friend and I decided to try it out on our drive down I-5 for lunch. The location was great as it was almost right off the freeway, so is a great option if you want a quick stop during a drive. Maybe we had been on the road too long, but it didn’t occur to us that it was a drive-thru, so instead we kept it really classy and walked up to the window. The super friendly man at the window didn’t seem to mind even though we were pretty embarrassed once we figured out we should have stayed in the car. Oh well… you can’t win them all, right? I got the turkey club with avocado sandwich which was fabulous. I didn’t realize that a bagel sandwich served from a window of a double decker bus that shared a parking lot with an adult store could be that amazing. But it was. They also have a great selection of coffee, smoothies and some good-looking desserts, so you can have yourself a nice little mini feast. The one downside is that there is no bathroom or place to eat, but I think a stop at Coffee in Motion is worth overlooking these shortcomings. I mean who wouldn’t love having lunch or coffee served out of a colorful bus by super friendly staff who don’t judge when you walk up to the drive-thru? Probably no one, but if there is someone in the world, I prefer to not meet them.

It’s open 24 hours a day. It has decent coffee and a punch card. One bit of advice, if you are stopping in for coffee at… oh…say 0310, get an Americano, not the brew on hand. It’s likely the pot has been sitting there for a bit and with the Americano, you get a fresh cup each time. Great stop when nothing else is open at an ungodly hour.

I’ve been here a few times, and it has good espresso, and nice workers. Pretty good bagel egg sandwiches, too(if they still have those – it’s been awhile since I’ve been there, since I live a little too far away). Oh yeah – and the one on Mission is open all night! SOCOOL!

I love stopping at the Buss. The coffee is great, customer service is top notch and I especially enjoy the breakfast sandwiches.

Who would expect an old double decker bus from England to be used as a coffee shop? Well, someone had a neat idea to set up shop. Everyone working here is friendly and courteous. I suggest trying to have your drink made with almond milk. I thought it might be strange at first, but it actually was good. Neat that they offer other choices besides must plain olé milk. Oh, and they do serve up breakfast sandwiches that really are very, very good. Probably not the best things to eat on a daily basis, but live a little and get the Sausage sandwich on Garlic Parmesean bagel. Mmmm, mmmmmm… good!

I drove by this place for years, always wanting to stop in so I jumped on their Groupon promo a few weeks back. First time through was not that great. They were SLLLOOOOWWWWW! Coffee was okay. Service was less than stellar. Since my order was less than my Groupon, I simply paid cash for it. The second time through, I did use my Groupon and bought a caramel latte and a breakfast sandwich. Again, they were extremely slow, service left much to be desired and the food was awful, I didn’t even finish it. Okay, third time’s a charm right??? Um… nope. Stopped in for an iced n caramel latte and a BaconLettuceTomatoAvocado sandwich for lunch. Server was downright rude, coffee was par for the course and the BLTA was sans avocado. Three strikes and you’re out. Game over for Coffee In Motion in my book.

Good coffee. Great breakfasts. Unique location(in the parking lot of an adult store). I like the«double decker» breakfast sandwich on cheddar cheese bagel. It’s with egg, double bacon, cheese, and I order a tomato with it. Delish. If you find yourself out latenight, it’s open. GO!

This is my second coffee-shop-in-a-double-decker-bus.(The other is in Asheville, N.C., which I highly recommend.) The Asheville bus was a good deal cooler, since it functioned as an actual coffee shop, since you could sit upstairs and enjoy your joe. This place is more of a drive-by coffee hut, which seems to be the coffee establishment type of choice in these parts. The mochas are great(world’s largest, according to the sign). It’s a nice bit of Salem color(a take-aunt-Sally-there-when-she’s-in-town kind of place), but I’m not sure I’ll go out of my way to get there again on my own.
