Didn’t want to leave! The staff at the Motel 6 Salem Expo Center is extremely friendly. They allowed me to check in early before their official check-in time and were solicitous throughout my stay, always asking how I was and whether they could do anything for me. The rooms are clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and had clean bed sheet. The Pool was superb and I enjoyed the pool a lot. The bathroom was clean. This is a comfortable place to stay, and I would highly recommend it.

Worse place ever Horrible customer service. Made me Pay extra for a little dog that was beyond harmless and extremely clean. Not coming back here again!

I can’t tell you a whole lot about this hotel because we were not allowed to stay here. The only reason we considered this dirty, gross looking place was it was listed as $ 48 online. My boyfriend tried to make a reservation when we got there and the man working(that barely spoke/understood English) could not do simple math to see that he is 21. He told us to leave because my boyfriend was 20. We tried to explain that 2014−1993=21 and he shook his hand at us through the grimy little window you walk up to and said«no arguing» and turned off the light and walked away. Extremely rude and apparently didn’t care about our business. We had been driving all day and were exhausted and it was incredibly unprofessional and frustrating(and embarrassing on his part) that he couldn’t do his job and read a birthdate on an ID and know how old the person is. We stayed parked outside for a few minutes trying to look up another hotel in the area and he came out and told us to leave and that we couldn’t be there anymore. Absolutely terrible experience. We will never consider a Budget Motel. I wish I could report this experience to someone, but I believe the man working was the owner. Very disappointing. We ended up staying at a Best Western a few miles away. I definitely recommend this place over the Budget Motel, even though it is more expensive. All in all, avoid Budget Motel at all costs just for their service(or lack thereof).

DONOTSTAYHERE!!! Besides being on a busy street, backing up to railroad tracks, next to a large truck shipping facility, and in a high crime area — the owners are EXTREMELY rude!!! We booked the hotel on Priceline and it said no where on the site that pets weren’t allowed. Upon arriving we learned that pets aren’t even allowed on the premises. We were forced to leave our small dog(companion dog for my disabled step-son) in the car in the far end of the parking lot. The owner said he was«making an exception» in allowing the dog in the parking lot. We asked for extra sheets and were turned down because we «already had a set on the bed». The room had an odor. The towels were tiny and threadbare. The hotel has«satellite TV» which is only 10 channels. There was no Showtime as advertised. The A/C put out a terrible smell when on. The walls are paper thin. We stayed here after 8 days of tent camping and were wishing that we would have just stayed in the tent one more night rather than the Budget Lodge.

We ended up at budget lodge in Salem because all hotels from Eugene to Salem were booked for the end of college activities-moving and graduations. We were desperate and this was the only one of two options available. Although it was a bit of a distance from Corvalles, we chose this Budget lodge because we had stayed at another Budget franchise and found it was a decent motel given it was a Budget Lodge. Well, were we surprised when we walked into a room that was unclean, unkept, with paint peeling off the walls, a dank odor, and terribly uncomfortable beds. We didn’t check, but are certain the beds were bed bud filled. Moreover, there was no hot water to be had for our morning showers. Little did we know that we would be kept up throughout the night with autos starting up, loud voices, and some sort of argument between the Proprietor and a customer, where the customer was being kicked out. And of course, not to mention being a stones distance from a railroad track and hearing transport trains several times during the night. TV access/channels included all of about 7 channels. Not even all network channels you get with basic cable, and certainly no cable channels. No internet access. Bath towels were warn to the point of being threadbare. Even though we had paid in advance for two nights, we packed up first thing in the morning and left, leaving behind the fee for the second night. My recommendation, even if you are desperate, do not stay at this Budget Lodge.
