The quality and taste is good, but it wouldn’t hurt to have your staff smile and not act miserable while there is only one customer in there.

I love BTH, every one I’ve been to has great sandwiches and this one is no different. But if you come in close to 3pm they’ll stare you down with the stink eye and you will probably feel uncomfortable. This Big Town is open for 4 ½ hours a day(10:30am to 3pm weekdays and then something like 11am to 3pm on weekends) and I really wish there was another one on this side of the city. If you want a BTH sandwich after 2:45 in the afternoon and don’t want to feel like an IRS auditor when you’re ordering it, then it’s twenty minutes away in Keizer. You can’t always get what you want.

Who decided it was a good idea to close this place at 3? If you’re only gonna be open for 5 hours a day, how do you make any money? We walked in 5 min before 3 and were turned away. I know the sandwiches are great and that’s the only reason it gets another star.

Fantastic salads. I had the Greek salad one day and the chef salad another time. Both occasions it was amazing. Fresh and yummy. I have not had the sandwiches but my coworkers dud and loved it. Quick, reasonably priced, fresh, healthy(for the most part) and delicious. What have you got to lose?

I am from out of town and I have never heard of this place before, but on my lunch break, this seemed like the best choice, and I was right! I had the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich and it was AWESOME! Soft bread, thick turkey, crispy bacon, a little mayo and a little avocado spread. I’d say it was very comperable to what Jimmy Johns tries to do. But this sandwich was the right size for my appetite, and the perfect amount of bite at a very good price under $ 8!

I got a French dip here and it was so much better than expected. The service was wonderful and brought the food to us when usually you pick it up. It was so clean and an enjoyable environment. Definitely going to come back!

Never too busy whenever I swing by. They use the fluffiest, tastiest bread for their sandwiches(sorry, cant vouch for gluten free). Friendly staff, pretty quick wait time, nice options for add ons for sandwiches and extras to go with your lunch(drinks, cookies, chips, salad, etc.) I always get just a regular turkey, cheddar, lettuce on white bread. I’m not the biggest fan of shredded lettuce, as it makes for a bit of a mess, but its not too terrible.

So it’s overpriced. As far as price subway has them beat. But the quality is unbeatable. The bread is fluffy and soft, the meat is fresh and moist, and sauces have a great flavor and zing. I had the very berry turkey sandwich with oven baked BBQ chips. Very delicious I highly recommend. A little taste of thanksgiving year round.

oh Big Town, oh how I love your sandwiches. But two hairs on two separate back to back occasions within a 4 month period? That’s unacceptable. No one wants to eat someone’s hair. And having having a hair each time you’ve ate there in 4 months? that’s a pattern. that’s unacceptable.

Love big town. Great new menu and meats. So much better than subway or anything else local. Support local business and go to them. Oh also they bake their bread fresh

Yep. I don’t usually write reviews for fast food joints because for the most part we all know what we’re gonna get. But when I go back to Oregon I HAVE to get a Big Town Hero fix. I don’t know what’s in their bread but it is so good! Before I found out I am lactose intolerant I used to get the Avocado delight and I still have cravings for it. The turkey bacon avocado is a close second favorite. I love love BTH.

My husband loves their sandwiches! His eyes light up every time I bring some home. His pick? 8 inch Classic club on wheat, extra pickles and pepperoncini. Try it, it’s quite good.

Just so You know, on a 100% scale — I’d say an 85… Food is good enough to justify the wait. The smell will make You hungrier! Easy to mod Your sandwich. Décor and general feel are small-town reminiscent and comfortable. I’d rather dine in than just take out here. More seats and more attention to garbage would be nice. Be careful in the parking lot — not their fault it’s wonky.

Been coming here for years now, its changed management a few times, used to be terrible but now thanks to new management is back to being amazing. They wait time on sandwiches can be a pain, especially if the older fellow is the only one working rather than one of the younger people. He seems to struggle with the sandwich making process, probably a manager haha. Otherwise I’m in and out within 15 minutes even if its crowded which is fantastic. I work just down the street so I can just walk over for pick up. If it weren’t for the occasional slow wait I’d give them 5 stars. But if you have the time this is the best sandwich place in South Salem.

I have to agree with Ty D before me, the Turkey, Bacon and Avocado is my normal order here, and always on wheat bread, and ALWAYS a great sandwhich. The bread is so fresh and soft that it’s amazing. Not once have I ever had a bad meal form here.

Turkey, bacon, avocado on wheat is excellent. I’ve found management and servers to be very friendly.

Good food especially for«fast food». Ownership has changed since grumpy one star reviewed thus location. I have eaten here many times and never had a problem with the food quantity or quality.

What kind of idiot gives this place three stars? It’s garbage. They weight their meats to ensure you don’t get too much, and the wait for a sandwich to go is atrocious. 15 minutes for a cold sandwich? Are they baking the bread while I wait? Get with it. Last time I ate here I felt very sick to my stomach. I haven’t been back since. Oh, and their soups are the most disgusting I’ve ever had.
