If you, like us, have played too much Day Z, then you may be weirdly obsessed with survival in the zombie apocalypse. If there’s one place that can help us gear up, it’s definitely here. Now I understand that The Army Barracks should be taken seriously as it’s a place to purchase military items(some day I might get a corporal pin in honor my dad who served in the Marines)… but it also has a tremendous amount of pink camouflage onesies for babies and clown masks. So that the first thing my s.o. and I thought of when we were here was of video game I think is totally acceptable. Backpacks? Check. Helmets? Check. Skull balaclava? Check. Working boots? Check. Ammo canisters(which are also awesome for geocaching)? Check. Canteens? Check. Rope in a variety of colors? Check. Portable gas lamps? Check. Warm jackets, heavy duty vests, cargo pants with lots of pockets? Triple check. Vegetarian MRE’s so I can stay dietarily ethical during the end of days? Check(we bought the lasagna [no really, we did, because my s.o. has decided to build is own emergency preparedness kit], though the ratatouille also looked great). Personally, I think the prices are a little steep, but I would gladly hemorrhage my hard earned cash for high quality loot to keep me safe when Captain Trips is released.

I refuse to shop at an army surplus store in Salem, Mass without Sky guiding me through the aisles. He’s not just a D&D legend, he’s Mr. Salem State. BRINGBACKSKY!!! Just do it!!! Sky has giving me deals on jackets & knives. Thats what you need when you run a business. Anything I walked into«the army store» Sky was always there to meet and greet me. The man will go down as a legend on the mean streets of Salem. Sky please come home!

This was a nice and large army navy store. I love their used section for some cute vintage stuff. I would recommend checking it out if in the area. They have fairly priced clothing and other swag– such as ammo boxes.

Excellent customer service, nice guys who run the store, and awesome stuff for sale. I can’t wait to go back! I love buying medic bags and boxes. Looking to get knives next time.

Hell yeah! This is where i buy all of my pants, and winter gear. Rugged clothes at a decent cost. I also picked a 3 system sleeping bag that is rated for 30 below dirt cheap. They have any and all survival gear one could ever want for a fraction of the price when compared to a sporting goods store.

Awesome surplus store can pretty much find whatevet you are looking for. They have boots, a small selection of chuck taylors, knives, work clothes, rain gear, knives, rubber boots, knives, t-shirts, military clothes new and used, knives, military patches and pins, plus I believe they take special orders as well. Oh and did I mention the knives? They have more knives and swords than you can shake a stick at!!! Even if you are just browsing you will find something that you can’t leave without!

A very eclectic collection of military themed goods at fair prices with a service oriented and friendly staff. The only real complaint is there is just too much stuff for the space it is in so it gets claustrophobic.

Ok my husband loved this store, he spent almost an hour picking out a new coat, new messenger bag for his motorcycle, patches, etc. etc. I swear if he could design the perfect store for him, it’d be this place. It’s filled with service clothes, both brand new and some older used stuff from what I could tell. The women’s dept is sparse but if you like to wear camo pants it might not be bad to get a guys pair… they are probably more comfortable. This place also sold guns and all sorts of random equipment of one sort or another. And patches. Tons of patches. It was a haven for the sportsy, the true-blooded American, or just a manly man in general.
