This place is an amazing experience! You can’t say you have tasted quality food made with care and passion until you have eaten here. With the warm inviting setting, simple yet very comfortable. To the lovely music playing overhead and small votive on each table. The smell coming from the open kitchen setting consumes your appetite right from the start. I had been here a couple times previously and was excited to return. The menu had changed as it does to keep it fresh and exciting. Tonight we had a few small plates and then entrées. Our all time favorite the bacon dates, these are mouth watering delights. The stuffed mushrooms are wonderful, a new addition previously sautéed mushrooms(also delicious). But here’s the grand daddy– the pulled pork sandwich and the meat balls. Shut it down now they both were beyond delicious and worth every lovely bite. We finished off our meal with the tasty churros that have left us to want more. We will be back for more of each of these yummies I’m sure very soon.

Two hours for dinner. 30 minutes plus to get wife’s martini. One water refill in two hours. Over an hour to get our food. Numerous errors on our check. Now I understand why the tip is included in the check. Enough said!

Wonderfully simple yet delicious food. Because it is tapas food you get to sample all sorts of flavors and different dishes in one meal. We frequent this restaurant quite often – love this place! Service is great and it has a fun atmosphere! Highly recommend.

We’ve spent a lot of time in Spain and this is the first time in a while I’ve had really authentic Spanish food. Everything we had was delicious, but we especially loved the grilled corn off the cob– heavenly. We had Kalimoxto’s which I haven’t seen anywhere else in the U.S. to drink– felt like we were in a tapas bar in Spain. My only complaint(and this is more my lack of self control than their fault), is that the food is all VERY rich– so even though the plates are small, they’ll definitely fill you up fast. Highly recommend this place though! Oh and excellent friendly service!

I like to equate eating tapas to sushi in terms of quantity of food. If you’ve not experienced tapas, they are small plates of flavor rich food. They are definitely for the ‘tasters’ of the world. You get your dishes and think ‘this doesn’t seem like much’ but after a few bites, you realize you are eating for flavor. And then, as you savor the food and the company, you find you are feeling quite filled. If you’re starving need to be stuffed to the gills, tapas might not be for you. But if you’re in the mood for great flavors, make your way downtown for delicious eats Recommendations. Must have the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese. Just test the temperature before you pop one in your mouth(like I did) … They come out hot. The avocado crostini is fresh and flavorful with Parmesan. The smoked salmon deviled eggs have very fresh salmon. Well smoked. The chorizo croquet is good but might be a little better if they added a bit more spice/heat.

Rebek@h was a great waitress and the food was delightful. The bacon wrapped dates blew my mind. If you’re looking for a super filling meal, this wouldn’t be the place, but the food was stupendous. Rebek@h was super funny and the service was great! We are outside and usually the service would suffer because of the distance to us, but surprisingly the opposite happened. I suggest ordering with friends and sharing, if you’re capable of sharing.

I wanted to be wowed by this place but the dishes were very lack luster. The bacon dates were divine and if I would have stopped there this would be five stars. The asparagus and empanadas did not impress us. The asparagus seemed not fresh and empanadas were extremely greasy.

This restaurants been around for a couple of years. the price you pay for the small plates are very very expensive and not quite worth the money you’re paying for. I would hope that the owner and chef would figure this out because his last restaurant next door failed because of his inability to run a place properly.

My husband and I popped into Andaluz for lunch the other day. To be perfectly honest, we had intended to go somewhere else, but it was crowded and we were kind of a mess(having just come back from a rainy hike). We saw Andaluz nearby; it was not crowded and we had been meaning to try it so we went on in. I’m glad we did! It was a very enjoyable lunch. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, the chorizo croquettes, the tomato garlic toasts with ham, the brussel sprouts with chantrelles and finished with the churros. Overall, everything was good. The croquettes were my personal favorite. I thought they were really well cooked and I really enjoyed the flavors. My husband loved the tomato toasts. The bacon wrapped dates are hard to screw up! Bacon… dates…blue cheese… you’d have to work at it to make that not taste good! And the churros were absolutely delicious. The chocolate that went with them was perfect. Nice and warm and not too sweet. The only slightly sour note was the brussel sprouts dish. It definitely needed some salt and a some sort of lemon juice or vinegar to liven it up. It just was a heavy, kind of dull dish. The individual ingredients were nice but it just lacked that extra step to make it really shine. My husband got the Bloody Toro cocktail with mezcal which he really enjoyed. He said it was spicy and flavorful and he liked the chorizo salt rim. The service was great. We were the only customers, which makes it easier, but still! Our waitress was attentive and nice without being overbearing and the tapas came out in a nice rhythm so we weren’t ever overwhelmed by dishes or stuck waiting too long for one. It was very nice and I think it would be a great place to take a larger group!

This would cost twice more in PDX… was absolutely delicious. Tried the bacon wrapped dates, gazpacho soup, espenola, watermelon feta tomato skewers, croquettes, and with red fruity sangria… was a delight!

Loved the ambiance and menu of this little tapas restaurant. While visiting Salem, we wanted something interesting for a romantic dinner, and found this spot. They were open late, which was a plus. The service was excellent — of course it wasn’t too busy when we arrived and we were the only group seated inside. The décor was nice and dark in a romantic way and it was quiet enough we could have a conversation. The food was okay. I’ll admit Portland has spoiled me, so while some items shined(the bacon wrapped dates and the chorizo croquettes), some were lacking a little extra spice that I enjoy in my food. Still not bad. Generally, the tapas were a good size to share between two — but the empanadas were enormous. Overall it was reasonably priced for what you got. Sadly, did not try the sangria, but the local bottled sodas(Hazelnut Cream Soda), were pretty good. And they have coffee, which was a nice option to have.

We love the quaint ambiance with sincere service. Food is edgy for Salem yet apparently traditional for Spanish tapas as this is a one-of-a-kind for So-lame. Drinks are nicely strong however the seafood apps can be iffy at best, but we like them enough to try again!

Not what I expected, at all. I walked out without trying one thing. When I hear ‘tapas’, I think of small food bits served in a relaxed atmosphere – a place where a couple of good friends could easily spend hours chit chatting over drinks and shared plates. What I don’t think of is uncomfortable wood tables and chairs crammed in a tiny room. I was just put off by the whole thing. So much so that my friend and I informed the waitress we wouldn’t be staying. I couldn’t see sitting at one of those tables – clearly meant for a full dining experience-for hours. No thanks.
