Great. Friendly. Comfortable place to stop, brose and read. Reasonable prices on books and antiques. Lots of locals drop by all the time to chat and drink coffee.

Great place! Tyler is a very friendly /interesting guy. He always lets me use the family chapel when I visit from New Mexico. A must stop in Salado.

Pretty cool little store. Lots of books, though kinda unorganized. Go if you have time and dig books.

We were visiting Salado during the holiday season looking for something specific. We called ahead and asked if they had it… yes. Then we asked the hours as we were a bit peckish. We told the store keeper when we would be there and what our plans were and it was not a problem as the store was supposed to be open. When we arrived it was locked up tight and no one was around. So, I am giving this establishment a one star rating as our desires were articulated well and owner did not come through with what they said… that they would be open. If we ever get back to the area and the store is open. We will drop in. At that point I may revise my opinion based on the quality of service we receive.

This is my favorite bookstore. The owner is really nice and knowledgeable. There is an Episcopal chapel on the property with services at 5 pm on Saturday. All this place needs is a coffee shop and it would be just perfect. I’ll give it 5 stars anyway.
