I was surprised to see this opened up in Tyrone Square. Tyrone’s a pretty ah, challenged mall with ah, earthier clientèle, and macarons have always seemed to me a preoccupation for people with more money than sense. I mean, for the price of one I can go buy a whole bag of Milanos, which are at least as good. So I’m not a fan. But it’s nice to have a gelato place in the mall again.

I was just window shopping at Tyrone mall today when I spotted Le Macrons. I was intrigued, so I went in. Their variety of macaroons was seemingly endless. They are a little expensive, but for a true French macaroon I thought the price was reasonable. I took them home to have with some tea and as soon as I tried them I called and left a message saying how wonderful I thought their macaroons were. I plan on going back later this week to buy some more and to try the French gelato.

The macarons were very good. The chocolates were wonderful. They had a nice and interesting variety of both. It was more expensive than Oreos and Hershey’s bars, but it was tasty, a good experience, and an acceptable price for an every-​now-​and-​then treat.
