I found everyone on his staff to be compassionate and a little humor. My surgery was hell but it is healing. I just wish I had known about a minimal invasive procedure before I went through this. Above that I had no issues from my first visit to my surgery to the healing process. I will go back if I have to. I do though wish he spent more time with patients. too busy but that is a good thing. I like him.

I agree with the other reviewer that the doctor seems very busy. As you can see from Unilocal or elsewhere, he has several offices he practices at. Although my injury was resolved satisfactorily, I felt the care I received was expensive, especially given the rushed nature of the visits, so I will probably try another doctor next time.

This is based on the experiences of 2 different patients of Dr Kopelman. The 1st woman, who is a nurse, went to the Dr and told her she had flat feet and needed to buy heel orthrotics. She knew she didn’t have flat feet and said no! She has since found another podiatrist. My experience: He is very busy. His exam rooms are 8×10 and depending on the room, the exam chair is uncomfortable to very uncomfortable. On my 2nd visit, after a cursory exam of my problem, he asked me to remove the shoe from my good foot. I did and he said I had flat feet. he came to this conclusion just by looking at them. He told me I needed heel orthrotics, not to walk barefoot & would have to buy special sandals from him. He grabbed my shoes & started to walk out of the exam room to insert these heel supports in my shoes. I asked him how much will this cost? $ 60 ! I told him NO i don’t want them. He put my shoes down and left the exam room without saying a word. Thanks to my friend, I might have bought his BS about flat feet. On a previous visit, I was suckered into buying a post op shoe for $ 30. A shoe I couldn’t wear because it was so uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure the heel lifts would have ended up the same way: unused and uncomfortable. I googled ”flat feet” and found a image of different footprints: flat foot, normal foot and high arch. I have a normal foot print. It is my humble opinion, the flat foot thing was a ruse to pad his bottom line. The next time I need a podiatrist, I will look elsewhere.
