There are few things that bring me all the way out to St. Peters: 1. Great food 2. Massage Judging by the name of the business, I’m sure you can guess which category this falls under. Oh, and please excuse my ramblings; I’m still under a deep state of bliss from my fantastic massage! I snagged a LivingSocial deal a few weeks ago for a 90 minute massage(for $ 45 bucks? SOLD!) and my appointment was for today. Making the appointment was a snap! When I was on my way out to Nirvana, I misjudged the time it would take me to arrive, and I ran into horrible traffic. I called and told my therapist that I would be a few minutes late, and he was more than okay with that. So far, so good! Turns out I arrived in time(phew!) and my 90 minutes of heaven began. My therapist, Olav, also happens to be the the owner. He is by far one of the most informed therapists I’ve ever come across. He KNOWS his stuff! I had a combination Swedish/Sports Massage, which was super nice. It involved a little bit of stretching and a lot of relaxing touch and massage. Olav knows so much about the human body, and it’s obvious: I was suffering from a little bit of lower back soreness a few weeks ago, but I failed to mention it. Upon massaging that area, he detected some tightness and pinpointed that it was due to the frequent spin classes that I take. He spent a little extra time on that area, and it felt SO great! Olav took me through a series of stretches to improve posture, balance, circulation, etc. Everything felt good. EVERYTHING! The 90 minutes went by so quickly, but one thing must be said: this is a TRUE90 minute massage. Yes, there was minimal paperwork and time for dressing and undressing, but the clock didn’t start until the massage did. With so many places advertising a 60 minute massage(which really only ends up being 45 to 50 minutes after paperwork, etc), it was nice to find a place that does what’s advertised. Yeah, it’s way out of the way, but I’m seriously considering coming back to Olav once every other month or so, just as a special treat to myself. It was THAT good.
