I affectionately referred to the St. Peter Motel as the«murder motel» prior to our arrival. But here’s the thing… if you’re looking for the cheapest option for a night when you’re really just exhausted and want to sleep, this place will do the trick. It could definitely use some renovations. The bathrooms are very cramped. I didn’t expect too much for $ 55/night. And I wouldn’t recommend it for more than a night, and even then only in desperation. On the plus side, the owner was very accommodating and it was a great way to see some local flavor.

This is a sad little motel that is like something out of the 1950’s along Route 66. The«Ma and Pa» owners don’t realize that you need to update on a regular basis. While the place was clean it smelled like old cigarette smoke(even though all the doors had No Smoking signs on them). The blankets on the beds were probably 20 years old, the old heating unit was gathering dust in the wall, the toilet was so close to the heating unit you could not sit down properly. A complete renovation would be a start or a Febreze commercial should be done there! Blind fold and send them in.

This is hands down the worst, most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Getting past the stale cigarette smell is just the beginning. I spent the entire night praying that I wasn’t contacting bed bugs or diseases. Seriously — pay the extra $ 60 to stay across the street.
