Great people and a great place. Love sitting outside and talking with whomever stops by for a smoke. The humidor is accessible as you need it. It’s BYOB and a glass of wine and a smoke watching the world go by is most relaxing.

Friendly and knowledgable staff. Wide selection of cigars. Great place to stop in, hang out, read and or chat with cigar lovers or meet people in the neighborhood. Comfortable couches with large tv, usually playing sports or news. They carry the daily paper and magazines. Also, a good place to get work done with an office to use and free high speed wifi. Great experience.

Came here in need of a new pipe for a gift and the staff helped me through it. I ended up with the perfect pipe and great smoking tobacco. Very glad I heard about this place. I’ll be going here from now on.

Soooo on my birthday while partaking of some drinks me and some friends ventured in here and thought we would try a cigar(have never smoked one before) so in walk four ladies looking for some help. I thought that there would be a really great leather seating area to enjoy this experience but apparently that is just at the playboy mansion or something as this is not what I had pictured in my mind… We all made a choice of flavor and ended up bagging up our purchase to partake of later into the evening as it just didn’t seem lady friendly… i guess if you knew a little bit more about cigars you would dig this place but that is my point I was curious and this is probably a little more serious of a joint… no time for our little shenannigans… they were not amused

Nice, casual cigar lounge on the lower level of a converted house. Plenty of comfy armchairs, big TV that’s usually turned to the news or whatever important Minnesota sports game is going on. Free wifi and there is often free coffee and sometimes snacks/sandwiches available. This is a great place to escape to for a few hours and puff away while working, studying, or chatting. The place definitely belongs to a core group of regulars who are there without fail, but if you show up often enough you’ll start to become one yourself. There are still plenty of private corners for you to hang out and work alone if you need to. There’s a decent air filtration system that keeps the excess smoke from getting too bothersome. They have a nice walk-in humidor with pretty much every(legal) brand of cigar you could want or find here in the States. The staff varies in their knowledge and attentiveness but on the whole they are friendly and eager to help. They also sell pipe tobacco and accessories as well as cigarettes. Top-tier cigars like Opus X, Padron Anniversary, etc. are in a separate humidor outside of the walk-in, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t see them in there. Parking is shared with the other businesses and can always be a little tight. Prices are unfortunately high, but that’s due more to state and federal tobacco taxes than anything else. They used to be much more lax on bringing in your own sticks and smoking them as long as you purchased a similarly-priced cigar. I would sometimes show up, purchase a cigar to save for later, and smoke one of my own. They clamped down on this with a bunch of signs saying you can only smoke what you purchased there, and at the time hadn’t compromised by instituting a cutting fee. Overall a nice place, and a gem as far as smoking lounges and a refuge from the«anti’s» that are ever-present in Minnesota. I’m no longer particularly drawn to the products from the countries of origin that they can stock, so I don’t go nearly as often anymore.

Comfortable place to sit and enjoy your favorite cigar indoors, or on Grand Avenue people watching. Cigars here are no slouches and there is a good selection.

Nice people, pretty knowledgeable staff, social customers… only downside is Minnesota tobacco tax makes the prices(in all of the state) highest in the upper midwest

You want a good cigar at a fair price? Look no further. The décor is drab 70’s rec room. It’s frayed around the edges and a bit seedy. But you don’t come here to be seen or for the atmosphere. You come here with your buddies to enjoy a smoke in a relaxed setting. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s worth listening to their recommendations. They won’t try to upsell you and will make a real effort to put a stick in your hand that you’ll like if you can coherently tell them your preferences. Every so often they’ll have an event. They’re usually extremely crowded but well worth the minor hassle. At one the vendor was giving out free $ 10 cigars. At another I won a very nice humidor in a free raffle. A third had free food catered by Dixie’s. Although much more typical event fare is free hot dogs, chips and cookies which also definitely works for me. Tip: In decent weather sit outside and watch the passersby on Grand.

Great place to grab a good cigar and relax. Huge selection and very helpful staff, willing to help new cigar smokers and experienced cigar smokers. Great people watching on Grand Ave and one of the very few places left to sit inside and enjoy a smoke.

In from Phoenix for the weekend and looking to find a place to relax and enjoy a nice cigar. Pretty rare commodity around these parts and if the«save everyone» politicians have their way — potentially extinct. The fine gentlemen at Stogies On Grand politely greeted me and made me feel immediately welcome, and were very helpful navigating the humidor. A sign of a great cigar lounge. My dad, a pipe smoker, joined me a bit later and he was offered a free taste of the house blend — nice! Outside of the exhorbitant MN taxes, the sticks were fairly priced and in good condition. Will definitely return in the summer months and hopefully time my visit with a hosted event. Thank you SOG for making me feel at home while I was away.

My husband freaking loves this place. He swears by their selection and knowledgable staff. As a lady, I feel super cool going in here and the guys help me pick out something that I’ll like(AKA– something that won’t make me want to puke).

Great little store. Nice leather chairs to sit and have a smoke and watch a little TV if you want. Good selection, and the cigars we had were in good shape. On the negative side, one of the guys who works there, though very friendly and helpful, is one of those guys who thinks he’s clever and funny, even though he’s the opposite of that. You can tell he’s a nice guy, but very annoying. Other downside is that my girlfriend was treated as if she’d never smoked a cigar in her life. «Are you sure? This one might be too much for you to handle, sweetie.» That sort of thing. We had to convince them we were experienced smokers and knew what we were looking for. Still, with all of that, I’d go back.

Great place. Lots of space to enjoy a stick, get work done, or meet people. The prices are high in MN anyway. Highly recommend.

While their prices are kind of high, has a fairly decent lounge. What makes stogies worth it is the location. Right on the heart of Grand Avenue, it is right near a ton of shops, restruants, cafes, and everything else imagineable.
