I have lived at Kellogg for 3 years and loved the first 2. If you are thinking about moving into this apartment building hold you breath and wait a couple years. It’s currently miserable to live here. Every inch of the building in under construction. It is so loud every morning by 7AM. You can’t sleep, watch TV, or have a normal conversation without being constantly annoyed or interrupted by obscenely loud construction work. Maintenance gives you almost no notice before coming into your apartment, and they are constantly fixing the cheap materials they used for the remodels. I have no doubt this will be a fantastic community in a few years, but right now it’s unbearable to live in.

Building is pretty dated(go 1970s!), but mostly fine. Did seem like several elevators were always out of service, leading to waits of up to 10 minutes. Biggest problem is their dishonest management office. They simply fabricated damages to take our security deposit, most notably for damage to the(built-in) microwave buttons which was actually caused by steam coming off the stove below it. Are we to blame for boiling water, or them for having cheap old appliances. The icing on the cake is the fact that we didn’t use the microwave once because we owned a better one. Enjoy your stay. Don’t plan to get your deposit back…

We’ve lived here for five years and are quite happy. Well maintained and has all the bells and whistles we need(indoor pool, tennis courts, concierge, security, workout rooms, sauna) There is an attached parking ramp that you pay extra for each month. No free guest parking which makes it hard. They do NOT have any subsidized rents so it is a quiet yet busy building of active working and retired folks. Concrete and steel building so you never hear a sound from other units. There is a wonderful restaurant(Sr. Wong’s) on the street level. Also a sandwich/pannini joint just off the lobby that is open most days/evenings as well(Prada’s). Many of the apartments have commanding views of the river. All in all a safe place to walk out your door and explore all of downtown. Easy walk to just about everything and bike trails close by. Major bus routes/stops right out the door.
