Been several years even though I live down the street, now I remember why. Run down joint. Menus full of sticky, tables with crumbs. Felt like I needed a shower. Time for a new name and owner. Left after a beer. Ish.

Any restaurant that doesn’t have mints and toothpicks is probably not a restaurant I’ll want to visit again. But the boom boom tacos were really tasty.

The burgers are amazing, service was fast for a sports bar, and the noise level was low so we could talk. I was impressed. We will be back.

Despite the crummy reviews we decided to give this place a try. There were six of us so we tried several things. Our server was also the bartender and she was great to us. Check out the Gouda Tots that are on happy hour. Happy hour goes till 630pm too, unlike most places.

I went here with a few friends to grab late night Happy Hour on 12⁄23. They tried to seat us at a table in the corner– but we opted to sit a table near it– and thank God we did. About halfway into our appetizer we noticed the ceiling was leaking above the table they tried to seat us at! This caused us to look up at the ceiling where it was leaking and we counted 12 buckets all around the ceiling which were catching whatever was leaking from the ceiling. YUCK. We all immediately quit eating(with half of our food left) and asked for our tabs. The manager happened to stop over and we told him about the leaky ceiling at the table next to us and he said«Yeah– it happens every year around this time. We aren’t giving anything away for free because of it» … We never asked for anything for free– we just asked for our tabs. When we explained that to him be became even more standoff-ish about the whole situation. The food– nothing to write home about. The service– our server was a nice enough guy but the manager ruined the rest of the service experience. If the ceiling was leaking in that many places in the front of the house… I can’t even imagine what their kitchen must look like. I will never be back.

I was wary about coming to Joe Sensers because of the 3 star rating, but with Bdubs sitting on an hour wait to get a table; my wife and I decided to quickly check availability for Sunday’s Big Viking/Packer game(Skol Vikings NFC North Champs 2015!!). They had a table at the bar, the only one left in the house, so we took it. We sat there for 5 minutes when one of the managers came up to us and offered us a table since we had an infant with us. Props to him. We were lucky enough to score the only table left in the back. The staff were going the distance in making sure they could get as many tables open and seat as many people as possible. They tried to accommodate as many people as they comfortably could. Service was a bit slow, but there were a bunch of people, not much you can do about it. The waitress was very nice and came to our table consistently even though the place was packed. You could tell she was a bit stressed(who wouldn’t be?), but she kept her composure very well and always had a smile on. I was nervous about the food because of past reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered two things that were game day specials, the Senser’s Sampler and Chili Cheese Fries. The portion of Chili Fries was huge and guilty good. Chili was good and everything came together nicely. My sampler was awesome; I got a burger, wings, waffle fries, and two dipping sauces all for only 10 bucks! The wings were not amazing, but the fries and burger were delicious. Actually the burger was very good, buttered bun cooked to perfection. Also, the BBQ sauce was great slathered on everything. So I don’t know if I’m just easier to please or some people forget that this place is a sports bar. I thought the food and staff did a pretty great job with the place being packed. And hey the Vikings won so I guess I’m in a good mood and will pass it on!

Food was great and the waitress was also great. We got our food in a timely manner. We also had a small child with us and the waitress was smart enough to bring the child’s food out asap before the rest of our food without be asked to, so that was good. Problem was that we had to deal with a couple that was sucking face and hardly ever coming up for air the whole time we were there. We had to move tables so our young child wasn’t subjected to this horrible display of a couple who really needed to just go get a room down the street at the motel 6. The wait staff told the manager who really didn’t do nothing.

Hard breadstick, 2 brick-hard sensor fries and soggy bottom hamburger bun before the first bite. Waitress didn’t bother to refill our glasses until we were completely done with our meal. Wont be returning here to eat!

Bad What a run down pile of monkey spunk this place is. I used to come here all the time for great food, drinks and to watch a game. That was 20 years ago and the place looks like absolutely nothing has been upgraded. The staff sucks, the décor is old and faded and some of the TV’s are all fuzzy. I ordered a white Russian and the ½ and ½ in it was slightly curdled. Really? When the bartender poured it, he didn’t see that? When I brought this up to the waitress she said, «oh no, it’s still good, see?» as she, and I’m not kidding, reached over and stirred my drink with the straw in it. I just looked at her and said, «you’re kidding, right?» To which she said, «no!» and smiled. Apparently she’s used to drunk guys digging ugly women with beer bellies smile at them but for me, no thanks. Then she asked if there was anything else. My friends were both laughing and were appalled. I just said, no. She then said she had been cut and someone else would be taking over our table. Yet, the beer bellied waitress just kept serving other tables, but not ours. Weird. We won’t be going back of course. Say hi to your wife for us, Joe!

Stopped by Joe Senser’s Saturday night to watch the Wild game with a friend. Figured we’d order an app early on, order an entrée during the game and head out after it was over. Waiter was more than ok with this and it was just fine. I’ll start with this, our waiter Luke was fantastic. I’d give him 5 right out of the gate. We sat there for 3 hours and he was on top of his game throughout, made small talk with us when he could and was great. If the manager reads this, give Luke a gold star or a raise, however it works. With that out of the way, its time to sit down and have a heart to heart about this place and why I’ll likely never stop in again, the food. I get it, it’s not a 5 star place, and it’s more of a place to stop in and catch a game, get drunk while doing so, and maybe do some coug hunting. I get it. But, at the VERY least, make the food a step above eating a microwaved pile of wet grass. At the very least deep fry it so we have some sort of flavor. Flatbread. Bruschetta & Fresh Basil. Sounds good yeah? Roma tomato and olive oil bruschetta with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, drizzled with balsamic vinegar glaze. Mmmmm tasty! Then it gets to your table. It even looks tasty! You bite in, and… you realize you’ve just bit down on cardboard with a drizzle of vinegar. At least the cardboard is baked though, so you’ve got a decent texture. Otherwise, talk about a lifeless, tasteless dish that leaves you wanting to throw a chair. Whatever, I’m starving and plow through it regardless. I opt for this: Citrus Grilled Chicken & Shrimp. Oooo, another one that sounds like it might have some sizzle and taste! Boneless grilled breast of chicken and gulf shrimp seasoned with zesty citrus flavors, grilled over the open flame. Served over rice with fresh seasoned vegetables. You get a boiled chicken breast that hit the grill for a few seconds to add color, 4 tiny prawns that are from the frozen seafood section at Target(I know for a fact, look at my check in Sunday afternoon) that again hit the grill after a quick thaw, and it’s all served over herb less, lifeless rice. Almost as a mockery, you’re given a lime with the platter. There was no hint of any citrus flavor, no herbs, no «zest» as the description lends you to thinking their SHOULD be. It is simply boiled rice, boiled chicken, boiled shrimp and a frozen veggie packet from the grocery store. If you order this from here, fall backwards out of your chair and get out of having to pay for it, it’ll save you the soul shattering reality of actually having to drop $ 15 on it. My friend ordered the french dip. I told her, it’s a risky proposition given a FD can be either really good or really bad, and it’s a VERY fine line to toe. But son of a bitch we were fooled with this: Joe’s Signature — French Dip. Alright, it’s a signature dish, maybe, just maybe, they actually went overboard on it and made it worth a half a damn. Hahahahahahahahahaha, you bastards got us! You get deli roast beef on a hoagie roll that is far too much bread for the amount of meat, and an overly salty jus. Luke was great enough to apologize for the meal, and I told him it’s his fault. On the flip side, the Wild won, and even scored two power play goals. How that happens and I can’t get a remotely decent meal at a Minnesota made establishment I’ll never know. Service was the only thing that keeps this from being a 1 star, but, rest assured I’ll never go back, and would rather go to *gulp* Applebees or B-Dubs to catch a game.

I used to come here as a kid with my dad and only remember good things about this place but after my visit last night, I am questioning why we even spent a minute in this restaurant. The Badger vs Buckeye game was on when I walked in and as a Gopher, I was already mortified at the sea of red and white in front of me. Besides that, I can’t say anything about my experience was enjoyable at all. It took the waitress 20 minutes to bring water to the table and an additional 10 minutes to run a menu over. On top of that, when my sister ordered a Bloody Mary for my mom, the waitress rolled her eyes… SOUNPROFESSIONAL! I personally feel like food service workers deserve a lot of respect for the shiz customers put them through but dang, there is no reason to be eye rolling at customers, no matter how basic or complicated the request! My table ordered the shrimp appetizer, pepperoni pizza, chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken tenders, waffle fries, and regular chicken tenders. The pizza was salty, there was way too much mayo in the shrimp sauce, waffle fries were cold, and chicken was over fried. SOSAD. I used to day dream about those dang chicken fingers… such a shame. The best part about the food we ordered was the seasoned sour cream for the waffle fries. I will probably never go here again unless I was joining a group of friends who had already unanimously agreed to eat here on a random weeknight.

One odd thing about this place, I’ve been eyeing it every time I leave the gym in front and for some reason its exterior façade didn’t quite appeal to me, but we decided to give it a shot one day and boy was I pleasantly surprised when we walked in, totally different look once you’re inside. The Italian fries were AMAZING, totally worth the 2 extra pounds you’ll gain from them. The happy hour specials are great, cheap and they hit the spot just right(Italian fries are one of them). They have about 20 huge screen TV’s all over the place, so it’s the ideal spot to watch sporting events. Our server was great and the prices were very affordable too. Definitely coming back to this joint.

Stopped in for dinner on a week night, chose the patio for the weather was perfect. Our server was outstanding! I believe his name was TJ, he is a natural. When asked what beers were on tap he rattled off what seemed like dozens and any questions we had, he had the answer. From the start, timing was perfect, new beers, appetizer, salad, to the main course, bussing was even perfect. I must describe the meal, Having never been here for dinner I was very pleased with the entrée selection. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip. They put pico de gallo on the top, as an onion hater I didn’t care for that addition. We both ordered steaks medium and I was able to sub a salad for the potato choice. Both steaks came out the temperature we asked for, and great mixed veggies. I noticed a lot of team work going on, I like to see that, very efficient. We live near this location and look forward to hanging out on the patio, having dinner on a regular basis. Thank you!

THEEPITOMEOFWHAT A SPORTSBARSHOUDBE Now, I am not a sports bar type a gal, but this is all right. Wow, someone did a lot of research to make a perfect sports bar. I loved the chain of mini jumbotrons all around the perimeter. And on several different games too. The feel and vibe here on a Friday night after a movie was«cool and trendy». The staff was sharp and very courteous. We got a comfortable booth, and had a really nice time. First time here, and I thought the menu was way above the typical sports bar menu. I was surprised by all the families with babies and little ones. Start em young! We only had what they called wings, but not in any world can these be construed as chicken«wings». Were they absolutely delicious? Yes Was the teriyaki sauce superb? Yes Were they overpriced for the volume? Yes Were they 1 ½ in balls of breaded juicy white meat? Yes Did they melt in my mouth? Yes Were 12 enough for 2 people? No How can a 1 in piece of breast meat be called a boneless wing? Isn’t that misrepresentation? I loved them, but I don’t like being mislead. As we all know, most boneless wings are chicken tenders. But calling nuggets wings just doesn’t seem right. That still doesn’t detract from how well this place is planned and executed. Okay, I didn’t know who Joe Senser was(I’m not from around here), but I learned about his NFL history and also about the sad deal about his spouse and the hit-n-run accident. Well, I didn’t hold it against them, and came her for happy hour with some co-workers on a Wed night. It’s a nice large sports bar with lots of TVs for watching games. They have a nice/large patio overlooking a sand volleyball court which is a great way to spend happy hour and watching the VBall league games. Happy Hour has decent deals on draft/craft beers and they have 5 cheap appetizers and ½ price pizzas until 6:30PM. We tried the Italian Fries(basically pizza sicks), boneless wings(decent and spicey), and an Italian Sausage Pizza. All were tasty(but that could be because we were starving :) I would come back here if working in the area

This place blows. No speakers in far northwest corner of DR. Can’t hear. HORRID $ 6 «Wedge» salad that was nothing more than a very small amount of iceburg, 3 very thin(thinner than McDonald’s) tomato and onion slices, a dusting(that’s being generous) of blue cheese, and some bacon bits that surely came out of a jar. You seriously get a 100000% better salad at McDonalds. Heck, probably White Castle. The Lime Cilantro Ranch had neither lime nor cilantro in it and tasted like a high school cafeteria’s…Should charge $ 1, no more. The server computer is directly in front of a projector screen in the back corner, and when it gets busy you have 3 servers crowding around and blocking the TV view. Bathrooms are disgusting. The bathroom’s TV cubbie is empty(missing TV) and has trash in it. Often the towels were spilling out and soap was missing. Three urinals super close together with no dividers. No outdoor TVs or TV sound. On top of this, the manager was incredibly rude. They won’t seat you until half your party is there. They don’t take reservations on big game days. BWW Roseville, as horrible as that place is, beats this hands down. Very little healthy options on the menu. FIXTHESOUND!

Yay! I am a fan Great place to watch NFL Two dollar bloodies Other than the Senser’s in Bloomington, I can’t think of a better place to watch football or other sporting events than the Senser’s in Roseville. The Roseville location is not quite as big as the one in Bloomington. However, jumbo screens all around the restaurant. There is really not a bad seat in the house. Sad to see the Eagan location go under. I have fond memories of going there on Wednesday nights to play NTN and usually end up eating and drinking for free with the gift certificate and cash prizes they handed out. Not sure if the remaining locations have the same deal. Need a weekend hangover helper? Senser’s has got you covered. They serve breakfast until 2PM. Had the Joe’s Kobe Beef & Egg Sandwich which was fantastic. Comes with Cheesy Cajun Hashbrowns. For me, most hashbrowns are pretty much the same everywhere I go. These hashbrowns were standouts, however. No better hangover helper than a hair off of the dog. $ 2.00 Bloody Mary’s and Screwdrivers until 2PM. 18 beers on tap. Several macrobrews, but also some good stuff. They had Summit Saga and EPA and one of the Lucid varieties. Nothing to complain about as far as I am concerned. It gets the Hammer seal of approval.

Busy place! Tons of TVs and bar space. Good bar menu and decent beer selection. Great place for game night or UFC fights. We had a large group and were seated quickly. Service was excellent considering how busy there were thirty min after we arrived. Everyone enjoyed their food. The table ordered salads, burgers and sandwiches.

This place us huge, TV’s everywhere, and have a newly renovated(& beautiful) patio! Staff is really friendly and engaging. The best part is the happy hour. Seems like there’s always a deal going on. Had a couple 10″ pizzas for $ 5. The chicken Alfredo pizza was delicious, perfect with a couple $ 2 beers!
