terry foreman, the mastermind behind the operation, is awesome. she has a giant sign outside her office with the word «whining» on it and then a big red circle around it with a line going through the center. she makes the kids tack their own horses before she gives them a lesson and expects them to clean the horse everywhere it should be cleaned. the indoor arena makes it less likely a lesson will be cancelled due to weather. excellent opportunity to do some jumping indoor or outdoor. the university of illinois equestrian team practices here which means sometimes you get the bonus of watching them prepare for upcoming meets. she will do individual or group lessons. if you don’t have your own horse, it’s not a problem. she’s got a few extra you can ride.
