My entire love’s this place. As for me it think it’s just okay. The salsa can be really good and other times bland. I also like liquid warm white cheese but their warm liquid white cheese is a bit different tasting and bland. I like the rice and steak tacos but every single time I’ve literally gotten really sick. Haven’t really tried anything else from their. I don’t place to go back.

Carne Asada was very good, presented well and fairly priced. I also enjoy the Steak burrito cantador. I like the authentic Mexican feel of the dining room. We loved the nachos and salsa.

Food was fair, service was horrible, price was ridiculous for a margarita that was less than OK. Don’t bother, try jalapeños or asada in Griffith

Great place to eat. My family and I come here almost every time we head up past this area. Friendly staff, great food. Makes for a wonderful, quick Mexican stop.

Came here with 8 in our party. We all sat together. Plenty of room for big parties, booths available for couples or groups of 4. Our waitress recommended the burritos. They had several different kinds. 3 in our group ordered them and the rest wished they had! We were visiting from out of town. Would go back.

Came in for lunch, the place is clean but could use a dusting, and the gals are extremely friendly. We got a small bowl of veggie beef soup when we sat down as an appetizer, it was very good, not salty, and had that good kind of oil slick on the top, the kind that lets you know the broth is homemade and not from some kind of cow extruder. I ordered the lunch tacos and asked for cilantro and onions to be added. The steak cubes were done well, not dry or burned, and the seasoning was good. They heat up the taco shells on the grill, I can’t stand«raw» shells and appreciate the extra touch of warming them. Lunch tacos are in smaller than normal shells, it would be good to note that on the menu but they were stuffed pretty well and were still filling. The chips and salsa were ok, I personally dont care for ice cold salsa and think I would have liked it better if it was closer to room temperature. Rice and beans were good, all in all a good place and I’ll be back.

Great service but portions are a bit small as is the menu. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and will return.

I’ve eaten alot of Mexican food in numerous different cities. Very good food and service here. I had enchiladas verdes and the tomatilo sauce was perfect. And the pork was tender and tasty. The rice & beens or their salsa didn’t impress me. They seemed very plain. Over all a good place to eat though

I ate here for lunch for the first time today and was blown away — the food tasted so fresh and was definitely all homemade. I told them I liked really spicy food and they suggested making the dish I wanted with a spicier sauce from another dish, and it was just perfect. Great margaritas too. I just wish the location was closer to me!

If you’re looking for great tasting Mexican food in the NWI area, this is the place to get it. The salsa is fabulous, and the tacos are to die for. I highly recommend the crispy chicken tacos, the meat is marinated and slow cooked, and the shell is freshly fried. As others have said, the service is hit or miss. They do offer all of their food to go, which is typically what I do. No matter what kind of service you get, the food is MORE than worth it.

My family and I went there for new years for dinner I have to say that I was amazed on the friendly staff and how clean the restaurant was. I ordered lomo en chile de arbol, it was so good and spicy that even thinking about it again is making me hungry. I’m looking forward to going back! Great food!

Out of the NUMEROUS restaurants I’ve been to throughout this area, and believe me, I’ve been to MANY of them, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant! The service is hit-or-miss… they’re friendly, but not always the most competent(sorry). When I say hit-or-miss, I mean that. Sometimes you’ll have a GREAT waitress — very friendly, competent and attentive, and sometimes you’ll get a clueless but friendly waiter. The food makes up for it. Their Queso Fundido with chorizo is EXCELLENT, but they need to serve it with more than 4 small flour tortillas… they’ll bring more, but c’mon… The carne asada is very good according to a friend who has also been there with me. I love their burritos and their enchiladas… the chicken is actually shredded and tasty. the cheese is delicious and fully melted, the refried beans are excellent as is the rice. And, if you want one of the BEST frozen margaritas around, try one here. They are very creamy right down to the last drop! They also have some very good specialty drinks here. I would give the place 5⁄5 but the décor is strange… kinda like they bought an old English pub but didn’t bother to change the furniture to make it look like a Mexican restaurant.

Hello, FOODSNOB here. If your ever in my neck of the woods and have a taste for Mexican Food, make sure your not too hungry if you go here. The building will catch your eye and the inside is mexico looking. I had the Chille Rellenos. Instead of being plump and full of meat it was as flat as a pancake. I had to ask the waiteress what it was. VERYVERY little meat in the Pepper. The sides of refried beans and rice were very small portions. I knew I should have eaten more Chips and Salsa. Now it has been a while since I have been here but I guess thats why its forgetable. They must have spent so much on the building that the food quality had to suffer. I was surprised because they have had a place in Cal City for years.
