Please don’t rent from this place! Past reviewers are not exaggerating at the extent of this specific budget location’s disregard for professional decency. They will for sure charge you more than what was said over the phone, so just go rent from the much much nicer enterprise. Enterprise will end up being the same price but much better quality and way more trustworthy.

This review is for the company to read! I am visiting family for 3 weeks for the holidays and am looking to rent a car in St. George, after reading these Unilocal reviews I have decided not to do business with your company. Please improve your service and good luck in your future success.

I reserved an SUV at this location three weeks before Thanksgiving and upon arrival they did not have a vehicle for me. They tried to give me a small pick up truck and when I told them that doesn’t work for me they said well that’s what you’re getting. The customer service is lousy and it’s basically first come first serve even if you make reservations ahead of time. I would not recommend using budget for your car rental needs. It’s unfortunate we have to give a star at all.

The 1^st time I rented a car (last Year) from Budget in St George the laid back easy going attitude worked out good. Picking up the car and dropping it off went great so I figured I’d use them again. This time it was not so great. Picking up the car (at 2:30pm) went pretty good although the car had clearly been rented previously to a smoker. When my wife picked it up she explained to them that she was called to report for jury duty in SLC and that she didn’t know when she would be back. She told him it might be the next day or it might be 5 days. He rented the car to her for 2 days but said if she was back by close the next day she would only be charged 1 day and if it went longer than 2 days to call and they would adjust the agreement. She was not selected so she drove home the next day and was back to turn it in by 5:30pm (before they closed) but the woman told her the computer automatically figures the rate and she couldn’t change it even though a previous employee told us we would only be charged for a day. The woman told us we could call back the next day and speak to the manager and she could adjust the charge to be what we were told. I went back the next morning and the manager told me the same story that the computer does all of the thinking for them and she couldn’t change it even though her employee told us we would only be charged for one day. I confirmed she couldn’t help me and she agreed so I left and will never return. All of this over $ 35. I hope it is worth it for them.

Delta arrives on time but nobody at the Budget counter and a sign to go to Avis. Nobody at Avis either lights are out. I had to call in, cancel my reservation and go to Hertz. Three of us on the same flight had to do the same thing.

This place doesn’t deserve any stars at all.
I rented from them through my insurance and was told by my insurance that I wouldn’t have to pay underage fee, and the lady argued with me and told me that if I wasn’t here on military orders I would have to pay it. I didn’t even come close to the car I had rented and I know I get something similar but a 2 door mustang with a baby is shit to deal with. Not to mention the car ran out of oil while in my possession.
When I returned the car, I pointed out that on their website it says drivers 21 – 24 are exempt from paying fee. She told me they’re not part of the big corporation and they don’t do that. I kept pushing and actually showed her that and she finally charged me what I was estimated to pay. I will NEVER rent from budget again. No matter where I go. Enterprise all the way.
