This is a very different B&B that feels like staying with relatives more than being a guest among many. With only two rooms, it is a very cozy and beautiful home across from a river view. I seems like the city of St. Cloud has little or nothing to offer from a cultural perspective, but Helen and Jim certainly worked hard to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was plentiful though more selections would have been nice– I don’t do sweets, so the crepes and pancakes option sounds about as appealing to me as chewing rock candy. So instead, they made their second option, an omelet both days with fresh fruit and the BEST homemade plain popovers. I love coffee and tea so much that I often bring my own tea bags. I used them on this trip too because Folgers was their coffee of choice. Also, I am used to a hot tub being a somewhat standard feature. Although the rooms had private baths, both had a smaller shower/tub. One room had a plug in portable fireplace that might have been nice in the winter. The room I chose had a very large and comfortable king-size bed with a walk-out garden balcony that was absolutely stunning! I don’t know how they keep the flora and fauna around their property so lovely, but it must be a full time job.
