So far the experience has been great. The staff is very friendly and the place is very unique and quaint. We’re doing delivery but enjoying the atmosphere thus far. Anyway we will definitely be back here, big step Apple Pay you can order online and so they will have delivery. We’re not too far so that works out great. This would definitely be my new barbecue spot. Once every two weeks you know how I do it. Out here

Bbq here is excellent, I would have given 5 stars had they not been operating out of an old small house with limited seating. I would love to see the operation move to a larger more suitable facility in Saint Cloud

Everything you would want out of a traditional American BBQ joint!!! Everything has an authentic BBQ taste, the Three blind mice sandwich is where its at !! Its in a small building so its a little cramped inside but its a small price to pay for their amazing food!

Yum!!! This hole in the wall was one of the best BBQ joints around. It’s in an old house hidden away but well worth the try!

Nice but not great BBQ. I had the pulled pork. Barely any smoke flavor, and way to moist, the kind of moist where you can tell they have been adding something to it to keep it moist. I had the mustard sauce which was okay but didn’t really add much to the somewhat flavorless dripping wet pulled pork. The sides were a misfire. Okay mac and cheese, weird pink flavorless potato salad. The fried pickles were good and the portion was insanely large, the apps are clearly meant to be shared. The servers were nice. The décor is nice a faux redneck look rusted tin panels on the walls, brown paper on the tables etc. The seats however are cheap, uncomfortable, and weak banquette chairs. It also feels a bit crowded. Also it’s really pricey $ 14 for some of the fancier more silly sandwiches. The fancy sandwiches basically consist of really silly giant combination of various menu items ona bun. A good place for a quick lunch or dinner if you don’t feel like heading out of Saint Cloud, however could be much much better.

Fabulous place. We Unilocaled for a place to eat some local BBQ and found this. We were nearby doing the Boggy Airboat ride and then came here to grab some lunch. The waitress or owner was very friendly and generous. We sat down and she brought over some samples of their meat and rips for us before we ordered something. We ordered the sampler choice that had like everything in it so we can try out all the different meat. We had 2 adults and 2 kids so ordering 2 meals were plenty and we even had left over. Their soda order was huge too, the kids could have shared if I knew it was so big. Loved the food and especially loved all the BBQ sauce. Definitely a great place for BBQ! Highly recommend

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jimmy Bear’s is some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The chopped beef brisket was flavorful and juicy, but not overly fatty. I tried all three of the BBQ sauces, and all were very good. I normally don’t go for a mustard sauce, but I couldn’t get enough of theirs. For the sides, I chose mac & cheese and the deep fried corn. The mac & cheese was awesome, very creamy and cheesy. The deep fried corn was… interesting. I’ve never had anything like that before, and as I ate it, it grew on me. Not my most favorite way to have corn, but it wasn’t bad. Overall, a fantastic BBQ joint, and I wish it was closer to me in Orlando!

The place is small, but you get the personalized attention that goes with that, good family atmosphere with some music in background. The food(pork) is outstanding, from the ribs to everything else I have tasted from the menu, I will recommend this rest to all my friends. Enjoy

After a long day of travel and birding, we were in the mood for some southern bbq. We found Jimmy Bear’s on Unilocal, and it was not far from where we were. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but that never turned us off from eating somewhere — in fact, those cozy small places are usually the best, right? I ordered the Popper Bear, which is ½ Pulled Brisket, ½ Pulled Pork and other goods on texas toast, however, I subbed in cornbread jalapeño toast. It was everything I had hoped for! My meal and the sides were delicious. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. If I find myself in the area again, Jimmy Bear’s will certainly get a revisit.

Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had. I’m typically a pulled pork kind of girl, but when they brought out a sample of there country rib and brisket, I don’t think I can order anything else. I was blown away! The brisket and rib just melted in your mouth. It had just the perfect kiss of smoke flavor and the seasoning rub was just right. The pulled pork and pulled chicken is wonderful. Now for the sides. The smoked mac and cheese is different, I liked it. But the homemade fries are the winner in my book. Cole slaw is fresh and crisp. I liked how it had a thinner dressing on it and cuts the richness of the BBQ. Lastly, the setting is adorable; a little old house in the historic part of St. Cloud.

I’m quite sure this is my first visit to the St. Cloud area, so I didn’t have a clue where to go for lunch, after looking at my choices on Unilocal I realized that I had before me an opportunity to, check out the BBQ scene. After looking at several options it was clear I would end up here at Jimmy Bear’s. I decided to do a drive-by before committing and circled the block and park in the side lot that looks to be shared with some city or county offices. To some the drive-by view of this residence turned restaurant could have been as close as they would ever get to the food here, I’ve learned these simply looking restaurants can be diamonds in the rough so I try not to qualify them on looks along. I first want to say I interacted with several members of the staff and these are great people, friendly, professional and attentive. As I walked inside it was pretty much what I expected, not a lot of seating and a large percentage of locals doing what they do on a regular basis hanging with friend and enjoying what is probably the best BBQ in the area. I chose to grab a seat outside at one of the two picnic tables. My server hooked me up a large unsweetened iced tea to go, it tasted like it was freshly brewed and very bold. I eat a fair amount of BBQ and it’s not very difficult to measure the amount of effort put in, to start the quality of the meat is very important as well as the method and type of seasoning used. The type of equipment and preparation of the proper wood is of the utmost importance as well. I think Jimmy Bear’s pretty much has these covered. My issue was the finish product, my burnt ends were far to lean yes you heard me the absence of any fat doesn’t produce the candied bark that all great burnt ends must have and the absence of fat and too high of a cooking temperature results in a dried out and tough chunk of meat no matter how you slice it, I typical use very little or no sauce when eating these heavily smoked cubes of beef this would have been impossible today. I also ordered a side of fried corn on the cobb as beautiful as they looked they were ice cold as if they were fried while still frozen, I also ordered the hand cut french fries and there’s no doubt these were the best thing in the basket, served hot they were pretty special. I definitely hope to get back here and try a few other choice items I don’t think anything is terrible here but it was somewhat of a let down after reading all the rave reviews.

I really liked Jimmy Bear’s BBQ. Set up in an old Florida home, it’s a small place with only 6 – 8 small tables inside. There are 2 picnic tables set up outside the front door for extra seating. Friendly staff, sauces were excellent, meats were tasty… Only downer was the fresh cut fries were on the soggy side. We’ll definitely be back again to try some different items… I’ll ask for crispy fries!

What a hidden gem! I am so happy I found this place!!! Upon locating the place I could already sense the homey comfortable vibe. We sat on the porch and were quickly greeted, when our server found out it was our first time she brought us a rib and some Brisket to try, yum!!! We ordered the bear which included brisket chicken ribs and pulled pork as well as two sides; we had the handcut fries and Mac n chz as well as An Order of fried corn. The chicken was very dry but had a good flavor and the brisket was a bit dry also. The ribs and the pulled pork on the other hand were out of this world! So tender and delicious it was heaven on white bread The Mac and chz was lacking but the fries were superb, I had high hopes For the corn but it was very greasy and dry. Overall I would drive the long trip over to St. Cloud for some more ‘cue, excellent service !!

Not the greatest bbq, but good. My daughter had the three blind mice sandwich(very tasty) and I had the brisket sandwich(good) with fries(not crispy, seems like it was sitting out to long. Fries should be fried to order, any fries sitting around for more than 10 minutes should never be served to customers), fried corn(no flavor), onion rings(fat and greasy) and cole slaw(not bad). Taking home the burned ends and bear bbq, for the rest of the family to try. At the end… will I be back? Yup!

What a amazing BBQ experience. This place is tucked by in the Historical St. Could area of Pennsylvania Avenue and is located in a small but deceiving converted home. This is an out of the ordinary establishment but part of that era when«Good Old Boy» BBQ that is truly southern comfort food is sure to satisfy any appetite. We had our dogs in the car coming from the 2015 Eukanuba AKC Championship ~ so we had to do a «picnic» outside in their parking lot.(see new«Profile Picture») Located in a small quaint small wooden building that is out of the 1950’s and decorated in a rustic Southern hometown motif. Two months ago a friend introduced me to this place when we were down in St. Cloud for business. The service was very pleasant as the ladies were all helpful in suggesting and preparing my order. Being sure that I had all the condiments necessary to enjoy our parking lot picnic. I ordered a Country Rib Platter and the Brisket Sandwich Platter with all the trimmings such as Corn Bread, Collard Greens, Smoked Mac’N Cheese and Deep Fried Corn.(see pictures below) It is one of the best BBQ that I have had in Florida. ~ The Rib Dinner Platter came with 8 St. Louis Pork Ribs that where huge, succulent and so tender that it oozed with goodness(…be sure to checkin on Unilocal and receive another free«Rib» to your order) ~ The Brisket Sandwich was AMAZING. The three giant slices of meat on the sandwich fed two people. The consistency of the meat was mouth watering. All the fat that surround this delicacy was like butter, it just melted in your mouth. The bread was so well balanced that it did not net soggy at all I asked for their signature sauces to try on the side: ~ Jimmy Bear’s Original BBQ Sauce(…a Mustard based sauce that was originally made by Gail«Kat» Galpin from St. Cloud, FL) ~ Jimmy Bear’s Sweet Baby Sauce ~ Jimmy Bear’s Kickin’ Kodiak Habanero(…extra HOT!) ~ Jimmy Bear’s Sizzle Grizzly(…is sweet, sultry, and SIZZLY! ~ It’s a bit on the hot side.) The«Winner»: …the Sizzle Grizzly! …2nd: Jimmy Bear’s Kickin’ Kodiak Habanero & Original BBQ Sauces ~~~~~~~~~ Sides: ~ Collard Greens were just spectacular! You appreciate the good Southern love that goes into making this time consuming vegetable. It had a hint bacon, and cooked until just fragrant enough to enjoy. It would have been even better with a touch of salt. ~ The Deep Fired Corn had a great caramelization on its kernels that gave up a burst of flavor in each bite. I added some sweet butter and tabasco sauce that made even made it better. ~ …it’s a real Southern treat ~ ~ The Smoked Mac’n Cheese had a wonderful bacon smokey flavor, creamy and had a great texture that you appreciate in a well prepared meal.(…better the next day) ~ The Corn Bread had a wonderful cake texture to it and a amazing flavor. ~ Tip: When you get home you might want to «grill» the bread on a «flat top» so that a caramelized crust is created. If you haven’t tried that culinary tip, it is well worth the culinary cooking adventure. ~ Enjoy OMG ~ I order to much food … ~ So we packaged the rest of the meal and headed back to Miami. The cashier and waitress where so very kind in providing extra sauces for our trip back home. You know it was that kind of a road trip when you get home and your are still hungry! ~ Well that evening I got the munchies and went to our boxes of delights ~ well let me tell you that the food was even better ~ the meat was not dried out at all, the mac’n cheese was thicker and creamier and my freshly prepared«grilled corn bread» with soft sweet butter was exceptional ~ What better late night snack to have. ~ The overall experience was stellar ~ People, service, preparation and atmosphere was exceptional. The only criticism was the food could use a little more seasoning but other than that, you can adjust the tastes you want accordingly ~ EXCELLENT ~ …a is a must stop ~ Cheers! ~

We were driving to Orlando and made a special stop to try Jimmy Bears. Given the excellent reviews, and few places in South Florida for great BBQ I thought we really should check it out. Modest looking inside and out, and without the strong smoky aromas I was expecting, the staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered too much, but that’s ok because we wanted to try several items. Brisket sandwich. This is a big boy! Climbing out between an egg roll lies some very good brisket. Tender with melting fat– just lightly kissed with smoke flavor, this meat is on point. There is no stingy portion and your roll will not disintegrate as you eat. Ok. We share the sandwich and I’m already full but too bad for me… I’ve got more to try! Rib dinner– it’s a serving for 2. Big meaty pork ribs also with a light smoke. I really enjoyed the collards, gently seasoned, very tender and awesomely old school. Smoked Mac and cheese was not my taste. The smoke gave it an artificial flavor that really disagreed with me, and although it was creamy, it really wasn’t cheesy. Cornbread was average, slightly sweet and cake like. Fried corn on the cob was not seasoned, and really needed a light dust of salt or perhaps salt/sugar. Texture of corn after frying is also somewhat odd, it’s sticky, and required a toothpick. Sauces. The sweet and hot were good, mustard sauce didn’t make my day Overall, I would surely return if in the area: brisket sandwich with hot sauce and a double side of collards!

Went today for the lunch special, with my brother that was going back to San diego base from the Navy and we were so pleased. This place has the little country charm with friendly and kind servers, they make the place truly welcoming. Lunch prices are fair but do think that the regular menu is a bit overpriced. But for lunch it’s definitely a sweet little spot.
