WOW… wish I had looked at the reviews! Jeez. Yes, I saw the Unilocal post before of a grouchy old lady, apparently she still works here! I went and got a bottle of Vitamin C for a cold, and I specifically picked the $ 7.49 bottle. I even was looking in the aisles not knowing what I should find, when a person who worked there looked right at me and walked away. Did not ask if she could help me find what I needed. I could have used the help finding the brand I wanted. shrugged it off. But when I got outside I realize they charged me for 11.49!!! So I thought, its fine, I’ll just get the $ 4 back. So I go all the way back inside,(winter temps BTW) Tell the woman I was overcharged, She goes, «Well THIS is the price its coming up on the register.» Trying to call me a liar?! Why would I come all the way back inside and pull the $ 7.49 price out of my ass? Wow. NO, the grouchy old lady with glasses made me go back to the vitamin section with another employee to do a «price check.» Really? So the guy goes back with me to see the vitamins and SURE as hell, it is $ 7.49 like I said, he told me a bottle with extra«rose hips» made the bottle I picked up $ 11.49. OK, so that is the fault of the store. Not MINE. I am the customer you are supposed to make the customer happy. So instead, they made me go UP to the register AGAIN, and she had to do a return on the item? In order for me to get my $ 4 back. She was rude with an attitude about it the whole time. Actually PUNCHING her computer screen so hard with her finger. Like, WOAH lady… calm the hell down! So rude, then she kept my receipt for my purchase of cough drops! I was not given my receipt back! Nice. I felt like telling the manager how rude she is right then and there in front of her. People have to work Black Friday lady, so do I. the store was pretty dead, but she didn’t say I’m sorry for the trouble or anything, she acted completely PISSED I even mentioned I was overcharged, probably won’t go back. they have way too high prices anyway. Usually at every other Walgreens, BUT this location… the employees are super nice,. Nope, not here! not this lady. It was evident this woman hated life and hates her job and hates innocent customers. I said when I walked out, «Man that lady needs a cigarette!»

My go-to store since it’s literally a 2 minute drive from my house. I pick up at least one prescription here. I wish I could get my other Rx here but for whatever reason they charge like $ 100+ for it and the Medicine Shoppe only charges $ 14. I think it has to do with what insurance they take vs. what they don’t but I could have sworn they still took Blue Cross Blue Shield but maybe not my family plan since it’s not locally based. IDK. I just hope they take my new insurance when it switched from UHC to BCBS of Illinois. Pharmacy staff is generally pretty nice and helpful. There was one or two ppl who worked there who were really rude but I don’t think they’re there anymore, thankfully. The pharmacist is nice and always asks me if I need anything explained and is able to recommend OTC stuff too. I wish they carried Peppermint Oil for my IBS issues but I guess Amazon is gonna be cheaper in the long run since no sales tax plus free two day shipping(hell yeah Prime.) I wish they carried digestive enzymes for IBS too. That would be awesome in a pinch. I did discover something badass at this store – GINGERGUM! Yes, you heard me right. Freakin’ ginger flavored gum. Sadly it doesn’t last more than a few minutes(the flavor) but it’s supposedly for motion sickness not upset stomach(I get both though) but still a pretty sweet discovery. I was a bit disappointed to see that they carry fucking homeopathic stuff for IBS here. Makes me rage so hard. That stuff is so diluted. It’s effectively like taking nothing for a legitimate and serious problem and expecting it to work. Snake oil. Really disturbs me that Walgreens would put this in the same aisle as actual medicine that DOES work. So infuriating! But oh well. Not much one can do about it. Other things I like to buy here including but not limited to: cleaning supplies, cards, wrapping paper, seasonal stuff, random last minute gifts, magazines, bath salts(seriously try their eucalyptus bath salts. sooo amazing!), snacks, frozen food, beer and wine(sometimes they have really good deals!), nailpolish(great selection although CVS’s is a tiny bit bigger), other misc beauty supplies, and misc OTC stuff. I highly recommend the rewards card thing because you won’t get any of their sale prices without it. The cash register ladies have been really friendly and might even recognize me by now, who knows! I wish they did restock things more frequently because I am hooked on the eucalyptus bath salts and they don’t always have them in stock.(Lavender isn’t as good!) Also I LOVE their photo print thingy. I put the app on my phone and I send the photo to their printer and just pay when I pick it up. They have frames conveniently located next to the photo area so that’s nice too seeing as how I always freakin’ forget to buy picture frames when I go to places like Target. Derp. I think back in August they had a killer bogo deal on frames here but only if you had the card thingy. My only gripe? Wish the pharmacy was open 24⁄7. I think it used to be but I guess not enough ppl used it or they had to cut back so now they close at like 6pm I think on weekdays which is mildly annoying. Gotta plan accordingly! I don’t think this location has a take-care clinic either.

If you want a grouchy old lady to make you feel like you are an inconvenience, if you want the grouchy old lady to literally throw your purchases into a bag, then you will love this location!

It is like every other Walgreens. It is stocked well and the staff was friendly, it looked clean and the aisles were well organized. We stopped in to get soda, water, beer and candy for the trade show we were attending. We found what we needed and went up to the front to check out. They had to call a manager because the clerk was under 21 and couldn’t ring out the beer. As soon as the manager rang up the beer he left and the kid finished our order. But while we were be rung up a line had formed. 6 people were behind us waiting to get rung up. The kid should have called for back-up but didn’t so I am sure the others were getting upset having to wait in line while there were others that could have been called to the front. I saw several people stocking shelves that could have been on a register.

It’s Walgreen’s so that means it’s consistent every time. Clean, nice staff and open all of the time. I’m not sure they ever close. I get my prescriptions here and it’s great. They have a drive though and it’s very convenient for me. I love me a drive though, that’s for sure. The cosmetic staff are really, really nice and helpful. There really isn’t much else to add, we have all been to Walgreen’s and they are all about the same.
