Beautiful place for an intimate wedding. Intimate is the key word here. This place is tiny! It’s super pretty and obviously green on the inside which is nice in the winter for a wedding. Just be aware if you have allergies or breathing problems as the air can feel quite heavy at times. To get here you have to act like you’re going to Main Street. Which is fine and dandy but currently epic construction is happening on 5th street and it’s Christmas time with beautiful weather. This means massive congestion to and from. It worked out ok for everyone in the end and they all found parking, but, it wasn’t easy! The room for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in is TINY and is with the bathroom. Luckily no one really needed the bathroom and our wedding party wasn’t that big — only two maids. Anything more and you wouldn’t all be able to get ready there. It’s so small! If the bride wanted pictures before without anyone seeing her it would also be difficult with just how everything is laid out. The doors the maids and bride came in during the wedding open up onto Main Street. Everyone can see your business as you are walking to the aisle, people seriously stop and stare. They even stare in. Super annoying! Price you pay I guess. There isn’t a ton of places to take pictures at the venue, but, I guess maybe people go off campus once everything is all done. The place is pretty and the people in charge are super nice! The wedding turned out beautiful and it’s a great place for a very intimate wedding :)

PERFECT wedding venue for the laid back bride. My(now!!) husband and I wanted something small and intimate for our wedding. I had never dreamed up my wedding so when we he proposed I had no idea of what I wanted and frankly, didn’t feel like planning anything. The Conservatory does an amazing job of handling everything and I had no worries in the world. Even on the actual day they were still helping us and made us feel so comfortable. I definitely recommend!

I began researching potential venues before I was even engaged. As soon as I saw The Conservatory’s website, I knew it was the one. Visiting it in person proved that it was perfect. Once I got engaged, my husband and I put down our deposit. The whole process was completely smooth. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They provide a booklet for you to fill out with every detail you want on your wedding day, and then they go over it with you to make sure they have everything correct. They act as coordinators for the big day, so there’s no confusion over what to do when. Our ceremony was beautiful and we got several compliments on the location. I would definitely recommend this to any couple who is getting married.

This place is awesome! There are so many spectacular photo opportunities that all of your wedding photos will turn out amazing. The people there take care of everything, and make sure everyone in your wedding knows what they are doing. The ceremony is held in the indoor garden, and there is plenty of greenery and pathways for photos outside as well. All the decorations are taken care of!!! When you’re planning your wedding you’ll understand how important that is. We had our guests toss rose petals as we were leaving, and they suggested we use one of their baskets to hold the petals. It was nicer than ours, and matched the décor in the venue a lot better. My flower stems ended up being too long for the vases we wanted to use at the reception, and the gentleman there offered to cut them down so they would fit. Their website has several vendors that they suggest as well making it easy to plan your wedding. Everyone we chose on their list impressed us.

I’m the furthest person you’ll ever meet from a sap. I never sat around dreaming of my wedding as a child. Never played dress up with a white gown. It’s not really my thing. But whenever I go by The Conservatory in old St. Charles, I get a giant tug at my heart. Suddenly, I begin to channel every woman on the planet who dreams of a fairytale wedding. At this venue, I believe it’s possible. It’s tiny, but so elegant and really charming. It’s like an inside garden. There are white lights and greenery surrounding the room. An evening wedding really seems like it would be a dream. And you could take a carriage ride through the cobblestone streets of St. Charles. Okay, okay, enough of that already. If you want to get married, you might like it. I’m putting on sweats.
