I am only giving one star because the service was excellent. The thai food was terrible and overpriced. We got spicy curry vegetables and what they called pad thai. Both miserable. We ate sushi here 5 years ago and the sushi was decent back then.

Used to come here almost every Friday with my husband for BOGO sushi, it was our favorite spot. Within the last few months it has really gone down hill. The last time we went, the service was terrible. It took forever just to get a server to greet us then it took almost an hour to get our sushi. Probably will not go back, not worth suffering through the poor service again.

Cute little place, clean and good sushi. The service I had was great and I was a little surprised by some other reviews I read that complained about the service. The food was also great — very nice presentation, tasted fresh and flavorful and they have a great variety of sushi. I’ll definitely head back to this place again.

I can’t even explain the experience… I got jacked for $ 25.00. I ordered jalapeño chicken to go. Paid, tipped the waiter 3 bucks & left. Got in car opened box… That’s not jalapeño chicken… I go back inside. Waiter can’t refund my money, manager/sous chef obviously already knew so he was hiding.(Waiter told me this fact) This restaurant is lame to the nth degree. Pay attention to reviews… I should have checked before ordering. Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

Do not come here looking for sushi. Came for dinner Sunday evening and our server was very nice and polite. To start, we had the vegetable tempura. This was not tempura, they were deep fried vegetables. On the first bite, it just oozed grease. Not to mention it was served with a side of RANCH! I kid you not, ranch. I guess they thought they were serving onion rings. Next we ordered two rolls, the dynamite and futomaki. The rice was dry, the roll itself was poorly rolled and each bite fell apart the second I touched it. It was also room temperature, which is okay but not ideal. For our entrée, we settled on the Pad Thai. Every inch of this dish was covered in pepper. It was inedible plain and simple. To conclude, this restaurant was not as good as advertised but what can you expect from a fusion. I wish I could say that the dishes were at least good if not authentic but they just weren’t.

Our favorite sushi place in town. We’ve been dozens of times and 95% of the time it is excellent. It’s not very big but sometimes there is a wait, and other times you’re the only ones in there. They do great specials on fri/sat night. We have our favorite chefs, but we have yet to find one we won’t use. We love the tempura ice cream but it’s a little $$ to get often. We’ve had two dishes from the kitchen, but wouldn’t do that again. Stick with the sushi!

Went for the first time the other night. Super quaint lil place. Staff was nice, food came quickly. Sushi was good. Not as good as I was told, but I’d definitely go back.

Several veteran waitresses, and a sushi-making prodigy warrant the 5 star rating. Ok, there are some cons: restaurant is small, but we like COZY. There aren’t any water walls, jumping koi, or flashing light lemon wedges, BUT the ingredients are extremely fresh, the rice tender and perfectly seasoned, and ALL rolls are expertly made so the flavors are distinct, yet blend. How many times have I had sushi rolls with rice undercooked, and the shrimp or fish mushy?! The rolls here are so good, they are addictive. The St. Augustine roll is a MUSTTRY, the unusual flavors are delectable still, and I lost count how many I have had over the years. There are daily specials and discounts for eat-in, and take-away. Tried the short ribs recently, and my, my, my, you can’t find them better anywhere. Excellent, efficient, friendly service, masterful sushi making, and cozy intimate atmosphere make Fusion Point one of our all-time faves in St. Augustine.

Our sushi was good but it was warm. Our waitress was awesome she recommended the veggie tempura and it was delicious. My only complaint was the temp of the sushi other than that good food and atmosphere.

This was located next to Country Inn. We arrived a little late and they were open. The service was good and so was the sushi. The General Tao’s Chicken was not very good. The fried vegetables were very good either. Stick to the sushi. They were a little small but the rice was good. Not quite a good Japanese Restaurant.

This was my 1st real sushi experience. We celebrated my brother’s 43rd birthday. Mikelle was our server. She was very friendly and knew evoke of our old friends. Small World. I had Yum Yums– they were the bomb. This was a great occasion to bust my sushi bubble!

Food is OK but service is awful. Had dinner there with 3 other people. One dinner came so late that the other 3 had finished eating. When speaking with Manager he gave us a poor excuse(backed up at Sushi bar). You just lost 4 repeat customers!

I have been to Fusion Point three times over the course of 10 years. This is really a nice restaurant in St Augustine FL. This place even impressed my wife. The fusion of Japanese, Korean, and other Asian was really nice. This is a good restaurant

I didn’t want to believe the newer reviews. I’m here to tell ya… it’s no coincidence that the«Best of St. Augustine» plaques stopped at 2010. The details are not good. We ordered the same sushi we always got years ago giving us a good comparison. The Trick-or-treat roll was the best thing we got. And it’s the only reason the update is a 2 star. The tuna and yellowtail were bland… bordering on old. I ate the scallops… The wife only did half of hers. The salmon was a little gamey too. She left half of it too. Our seaweed salad was a 3 star performer. Our waitress was attentive. She did fail to tell us we could get a free miso soup or salad with our sushi. I can also confirm other reports of no Asian workers at all(maybe a bit silly to gauge with this but I think it matters). And there were very few people in the place at 6 on a Saturday night. In the end… I can’t give this place the recommendation any more.

I’ve heard Fusion was once the place to go for quality sushi in St Augustine. My wife and I were not impressed. If the food was decent I could have overlooked the cramped seating, unfortunately it wasn’t.

This place has really gone down hill over the years. I guess that’s why is so easy to get a seat these days. Had many issues with the meal and service tonight. 1. They brought out appetizer after food. 2. The lo mein was tasteless. 3. Sushi is a bit over priced compare to other St Aug locations 4. The lo mein was suppose to come with soup. The waitress didn’t know that and wasn’t even going to check until I asked her to look at the menu. Since we were done with dinner, told her to forget it thinking she’d at least take it off the meal price… she didn’t. 5. The check was tallied wrong and had to wait for that to be fixed. It is a bit sad as this used to be a really good place to eat.

What happened to you, Fusion Point? A couple of years back the place was packed and the quality of the food was excellent. This past Monday evening though, MEH. We were the only diners there. The waitress was courteous and served us well, but the food was mostly a disappointment compared to the past. Ordered sushi to start with, including a spicy conch roll. I’m accustomed to spicy conch from Fusion having the seemingly standard mayo-based«yum yum» type spicy sauce, but when I peeked inside the roll, no such luck. There appeared to be a bit of reddish sauce between the meat and rice. I asked for extra spicy sauce, and sushi guy gave me a dab of plain old Sriracha straight out of the squeeze bottle. The«salad» that came alongside the sushi consisted of a single slice of cucumber, some green leaf lettuce, and the dressing. The dressing(a favorite of mine, pureed onion with what tastes like sweet rice vinegar, ginger, and some other ingredients) did not disappoint, but come on, at least throw me a tomato wedge or two! Main course was curried beef and scallop panang curry. The curried beef was a bit too tough, though the sauce was flavorful. The panang curry is supposed to have noodles, but there were a lot more veggies than noodles. That wasn’t too bad, but the«scallops» weren’t, they were clearly stingray or skate, NOT true sea scallops. Paid $ 50 for at best a $ 20 meal. If they sell their salad dressing, I’d heartily recommend buying it, but don’t bother with the rest, they don’t make it like they used to.

Really enjoyed our dinner last night at Fusion Point, especially since it was my first time having sushi since having a baby in August. I was not disappointed! The rolls were excellent! The fish tasted fresh the rolls were perfectly sized and the wait staff friendly and prompt. I loves that their spicy tuna roll is nice whole chunks of tuna not completely drowning in the red spicy sauce but it still packed a nice pop of heat and the sprinkling of green onion on top was a nice touch. If I had one critique it would be for an offense that most st Augustine restaurants do as well and that is not dimming the lights for dinner. It would just add to the ambiance so much more(especially since te décor inside is sorely in need of an update). Overall I highly recommend Fusion Point.

Fusion is in a little building tucked on the side of San Marco Blvd in St. Augustine and it is wonderful. We make an effort to eat there when are down in St. Aug. The décor is not spectacular and the tables are set up to get the most out of the space. The carpeting looks like it needs to be replaced. But we go for the food and the sushi. The salad is good and has the type of dressing you wish you could request a straw for! The edamame is typical as is the miso soup. The sushi is excellent and fresh! The rolls are plenty and the rice has a good flavor. My daughter usually pulls her sushi off the rice and just eats that. She actually ate the rice here. They know that a Philly roll is Tuna and cream cheese, not fake crab and prepare them accordingly! Just one of my pet peeves. If you are in St. Augustine and want sushi, this is the place to go!
