Well as one of the tourists who«don’t know any better», I can say we were happy to find this place. The fish sticks were nice n hot, and crispy, not bread-y, and the burritos and wraps were light and crispy.

Favorite place on the beach! Have been coming for years now and it is always a great experience. The environment is amazing and cozy, with s friendly staff that makes you feel comfortable and at home. The menu options are great, including a Filipino day where the owner creates amazing dishes from back home ! When it came to the happy hour best bang for your buck! 1.75 bud all day every day, and during happy hour bud light and others are also 1.75. Also an amazing breakfast when you get the opportunity I would certainly consider it, as it is right on the beach ! 10⁄10

Based on the recommendation of some locals, we went here one morning on our way out for some shark’s tooth hunting at Vilano Beach. There was one other patron at the bar with us, so I can’t say what the service is like when the place is busy. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, and shown the specials on the board, as well as getting menus and drink order immediately. The special that morning was 2 pancakes, with a side of bacon or sausage for $ 3.99(at first. I’ll explain that in a minute…). Hubby and I both had the pancake special, with bacon. The pancakes were large, and cooked perfectly. Their bacon was crispy and done well. Not greasy. Their coffee is rich and good, as well. About half-way through our meal(which took about 15 – 20 minutes to come to us), the waitress realized she wrote the price on the board incorrectly, and changed it to $ 4.99. We teased her about it(as did the local sitting at the bar, who kept insisting she offer us the $ 3.99 in the name of customer service), but really can’t complain too much about the error. Personally, I do think she should have honored the original price, but for a dollar more, I wasn’t going to be a jerk about it. The service was good, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Maybe we got better service because we were basically the only people there? Who knows. I can only report on my experience, not those of others. The bottom line is the food was decent, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere is a fun, quirky little shack on the beach.

This was our first stop in St. Augustine. Small shop that was hot and sweaty, but not unpleasant. The beer was cold and waitstaff was friendly. We ordered a bit of everything. The crab legs and stone crab claws were excellent. The lumpia was ok. Menu was cheesy and laminated. The house beer was fantastic. Would go back.

Fun little place. It was a yummy breakfast. Only bad thing is parking. Not many places to park.

My family and I have eaten at Little Margies at least 1 to 2 times a week since moving down here a little over a year ago and after this morning we will never go again. Our 4 year old always orders the French toast and we have never had an issue before. This morning we had the first order come out and was runny and uncooked in the middle. Not a big deal and asked if they could cook it a little longer. Second order came out and 2 of the 3 pieces were still runny in the middle. I stated to our waitress that our son would just eat the one piece and to not worry about recooking any more as he had been sharing mine and my wife’s meal. Few minutes later another waiter brought us our check and stated that he did not want any issues and basically said that is the way Margie makes things here. No apology or anything like that. Basically leave. So I went up to pay and still getting attitude from male waiter and Margie was shaking her head at me while I paid. There are plenty of good places to eat in St Augustine and I work to hard for my money and to give it away to a business that knows nothing about running a business and treating customers that way does not deserve my business. Kept my cool and did not freak out like I wanted to. They served us tea when we asked for coffee. Not once did I raise my voice or cop an attitude as we frequented there often and tried to work with them to resolve. They were rude and made no apology. It was either eat it or leave attitude. Sorry but I am not serving that to my 4 year old and have never had French toast come out from them or any other establishment uncooked and runny in the middle. Obviously they don’t need local repeat business. At least I figured out what the FA means in the name of the restaurant now. Won’t take you long to figure that out with the kind of service we received.

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. It took about four tries to get our drink orders correct even though we all ordered coffee and water. Servers were clearly stoned. It took about 30 minutes to get our first round of food. I had the ultimate eggs Benedict, which was pretty tasty. I also ordered a pancake on the side, which never came to the table. We asked at least five times for the pancake l, but never received it. My fiancé ordered the Greek omelette with a side of fruit. They brought out a side of potatoes and never brought out the fruit, despite asking for it repeatedly. Our friend ordered a side of sausage and they brought out a side of bacon band said to be patient be use sausage takes longer to cook than bacon. All of the food came out without silverware so we ate our food with our coffee spoons. When we told the server the food was incorrect he said«aw shit, bro» and walked away. We ate why food we were given and never received the pancakes, sausage or fruit. We sat there for over 45 minutes waiting and the servers never came back out. We went inside and asked where the food was and they explained how there is only one chef cooking everything. My fiancé and I were understandably fuming at this point so the server told her to «calm down, babe.» He then said«everybody else in here is happy, I don’t understand why you are upset.» He printed us the check and removed the banana pancakes like he was doing us a favor. I asked why we were being charged for the meal my fiancé ordered despite being the wrong order and he said«well the potatoes cost more than the fruit so I don’t understand why we would take them off your check.» While we were discussing the checks they told us to clear out of the way because we were blocking the kitchen. My fiancé is nicer than me so she just payed the incorrect check and made me walk out the door. It was so bad I though we were on a hidden camera show. We were there for 2 hours total and never received the food we ordered. Our water was refilled once when we were on the way out of the restaurant. The server basically blamed us for being unreasonable and when we were leaving he said I’m sorry you had a bad experience in a very accusatory way. It was definitely not an apology. The food was not bad. I would give the food three stars but the service and people skills should get negative stars. The owner of the restaurant seemed nice and I feel bad writing this review because she was working hard, but she obviously needs to hire a new serving staff.

Favorite breakfast spot on the beach! Get in early or you’ll have to wait a bit. Small café with big flavor. Little Margie has an amazing menu and is always hustling in the kitchen back there. Love the seashore scramble with shrimp, crab and Swiss cheese scrambled with 3 eggs + toast + home fries. Yum! Great waitstaff too. Cool guys!

Great food and excellent service, the location is perfect! The weather was a bit on the cooler side, but it was nice to sit outside and drink mimosas. Our server was great, we both had eggs Benedict one with crab cakes, both good! highly recommended

Never again. Usually try to support other local businesses, especially Filipina owned businesses, but the service and lack of quality of food is shameful. I just paid 12.92 for a hot dog, over cooked fried«Filipino fish fritters». Not an accurate representation of Filipino food, from my experience. Left to sit for over 30 min, watched other tables sat and served the same items we ordered. When I brought it to the owners attention she said” no matter what you write won’t matter”. Very disappointed. Take some responsibility and pride in what you do, instead of making excuses.

Best restaurant on the beach, the food is all local and fresh and right by the pier! Margie is the best cook around and the servers are always on point. They have amazing happy hour deals($ 7 for a pitcher) everyday from 3−7pm and the steamed oysters are to die for.

Went to eat breakfast there with my family. First thing I ordered was a mimosa that wasn’t good at all. Bad champagne and watered down bad orange juice. Next we placed our order and we waited, just the 3 of us. And we waited. Waited and watched as people who arrived after us got their food before us. We asked if our food was coming soon and the waiter said he would check so we waited. Another gentlemen came out and said that our order got misplaced and he was going to take our order again. TL:DR — Waited over half an hour for bad booze and no food. Sad day :(

Sunday morning breakfast was busy so we waited a few mins to get a table. The food was really good. Fresh and tasty. Almost 45 mins of waiting on our food they had to inform us our ticket got lost and they were just starting to make our order. They ran out of biscuits in that time. We haven’t had the best of luck on food service in this town but flavors were good here. Would recommend the baja tacos and would have wanted to try the chimichanga except one waiter didn’t really know what was in it.

After hearing how great of breakfast this place was, a party of five of us stopped in. It took a while for the server to take our order, and he forgot about our drinks until we asked again. We ordered basic breakfast fare and it took an entire hour to get the food. Other tables were seated and served before we got our food. When it arrived, the food was wrong and we had to ask for silverware. They did nothing to make it right. The food that we DID get was typical mediocre greasy spoon fare. We will never go back to this place and do not recommend it.

One of our favorite places in town. We are never disappointed and always leave happy. Can’t beat their happy hour — $ 1.25 for draft beers and cheap mimosas! Strongly recommend for breakfast and lunch.

Good food! Good price. Our 3 y/o had chicken tenders, hubs got the blk &blu burger(AMAZING) I had the blkend fish tacos one with pink sauce, one with Chipotle. The Chipotle is more like a mole’ sauce, they both were good though. Walk right in off the beach!

OK, so I went back today for lunch, after two years of dreaming about the shrimp. What. A. Disappointment. The place changed hands this year, which should have been my cue to run, but I figured, hey, give it a shot again… the new owner told us she’d cooked breakfasts there for a while before buying the business, so it seemed like a good bet. The shrimp tacos, although we requested sauce on the side and the owner seemed to understand that, showed up with everything on the side BUT the sauce, which had a mayo base and was, in short, disgusting. The menu advertises lemon and soy, which this was not. Instead of plump shrimp, each of two tacos had three salad shrimp on them. The owner — who was also our server — never checked back to ask how the food tasted or if everything was prepared properly(uh, gross, and no), at which point we would have told her we wanted something else. Not sure what she was doing — this place is small, and yet she couldn’t make eye contact with us once in the ten minutes it took us to try and eat the tacos. We tipped 10%, which is horrible for us, and we will not be back, at least until the ownership changes. That should be soon, judging by the service and food we received today. I’m so disappointed, because this was a great place and I hate to give a bad review. I know it’s hard to run a restaurant, but not checking back or asking us how things were when we approached her to pay shows a marked lack of concern for your customer, so I feel both are warranted. By the way, the pictures posted of the menu as of 9−24−13 are inaccurate. I’ve noted as such but don’t know how long it will take Unilocal to update.

Don’t blink! You may just miss the best food in town! FA stands for First Access — the first one off of A1A where we stayed in mid-October. You can’t park behind the small café as it is nestled in a neighborhood and your car will be towed. Again — Floridians, specific to St Augustine — rock us tourists. The kid who served us was fabulous. Got everything down perfectly. Refilled our beverages as needed. Didn’t forget our tobasco sauce for our breakfast(HUGEPOINTSHERE). He was awesome. It’s a local joint and one of the best we visited. Anywhere we went on this trip rocked. FA Café — just do it you’ll be impressed. Food is cheap, service is outstanding and you’ll be happy you went.
