Second time dining for lunch. Won’t be giving them a third try. Only one server/bartender working both times and clearly incapable of running the front of house by themselves. Today I had the chicken facassia sandwich. Very disappointing. Completely dry, no sauce/mayo/anything. I was attempting to ask for a side of marinara, but the server never made it back to me so I was forced to concoct my own olive oil/herb sauce from stuff that was on the table. The mozzarella madalion covered ¼ of the sandwich. Save yourself the disappointment and try somewhere else.

Nice little place to eat. Affordable prices and food is good. Best part is the cheesecake… OMG is soo good. Needs new carpet but other than that it’s worth a try.

Excellent lunch. I wanted to have lunch in St Augustine but literally couldn’t find a parking place. Saw this place while driving south on A1A. I had a nice salad, spaghetti with meat sauce and warm, fresh bread. Food was great, and price was reasonable. Good service, too.

The meal was okay, the bread tasted like it had been prepared the day before and reheated. I had the Chicken Florentine

We have visited Saint Augustine three years in a row and are eaten here each of the three years. I was a little surprised at the reviews and the low star rating however our experience tonight coincides with the low star rating. First of all I will say our waitress Jessica was really good however the food was mediocre at best obviously fresh out of the Sysco truck not a lot of flavor and way over priced this is our last time eating here. Salad and bread were very good However main entrées were bland, seemed cheapie and overpriced.

Had a wonderful meal tonight. The place seems to be much larger than it looks from outside. It was a Saturday night and we had no problem getting seated. Our salads were very fresh and the roasted garlic is a delicious addition to the fresh bread. My husband had Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken which he said was perfect. I had the chicken marsala which was also cooked to perfection, pounded nice and thin and still juicy, not dry. The penne was al dente and the mushrooms delicious. I think the prices were very reasonable and the staff very helpful and pleasant. We did not save room for dessert… everything else was too tasty.

Brought my wife here for a date night. It was a Sunday, so not very crowded. Seated immediately. Ordered a bottle of wine. Bread with real roasted whole garlic bulb and parmesan. Salads were fresh. I had the Ziti. Wife had the lasagna. Oh, and the bottle of Italian wine was very reasonably priced, properly presented, and delicious! Pastas were perfectly cooked al dente. Desserts of cannoli and crème brule were both fresh and creamy. There’s a bakery right on the premises. Live music in the bar, pleasant buzz in the dining room, the authentic artwork all make this place authentic Italian. Ask for waiter, Craig. He knows everything you could possibly ask about the preparation and sources of all the ingredients. Well done!

We wanted to try Amici’s. So we did, March 29th. And I am sorry to say, this was very disappointing. We were seated, and the server walked past us several times, not even acknowledging, or greeting us. 15 minutes later the waiter took our beverage and appetizer order. I asked the waiter about a couple of the apps. He said the stuffed mushrooms came with 12 or 14, and stuffed with bread crumbs stuffing only. Anywhere I have ever had stuffed mushrooms, they have always been crabmeat stuffed, and there are only five or seven per order. Alittle skeptical, we still ordered them. In the meantime, the waiter brought us warm bread with a small plate of olive oil and roasted garlic paste, for mopping up the bread, very tasty. A half hour later we got the mushrooms. There were 7 tiny button size, and ‘1 medium sized. They were not even topped with cheese, and just warm and very bland tasting. We got our tossed salads, nothing great. It was a salad mix from a bag. We were both out of our beverages, and no waiter in sight. I had to ask the hostess for ice tea, which she brought to our table, and then our waiter brought another one, I guess no communication. And my fiancé’ didn’t have his drink, even after asking. An hour later we finally got our meals. I had eggplant parm, and my fiancé’ had lasagna. I got 3 small eggplant slices, and angel hair pasta. the eggplant slices were about 2″ round. And not what I was expecting. There was not any mozzarella cheese on top. They were obviously frozen from a bag and heated. The pasta was top with bland tomato sauce, which had an aluminum can taste. I took a bite of the eggplant and spat it into my napkin. The lasagna, was a very small portion as well, 3“x4″. It was not baked, it was a heat and eat, lukewarm, no mozzarella cheese on top. When the server finally came back to check on us, we let him know, we did not care for the food. He said half the lasagna was eaten, and my fiancé’ had only taken one bite. We asked to see the manager, and the hostess came to the table and said she would show the manager, she took our plates and finally the manager came to the table. He was not shown the food, as the hostess said. However he was very polite and offered us another meal, which we politely declined. We did not want to wait another 45 minutes for lukewarm, heat and eat food. He did comp our entire check, or we would of been into this meal for around $ 45.00, without tip. I did calculate what the actual cost of what I was served for an entrée, and I figured my meal to be around $ 2.50, high end. It was a $ 15.00 meal, under the baked pasta category, and it wasn’t even baked. they need a microwave category. We did leave a generous tip, although it was a bad meal, and bad service. The restaurant décor was very nice, and the place is very clean. The manager needs to get a real chef, and fire Chef Mic(rowave). Sorry Amici’s We will not be back.

Wish I read the Unilocal reviews instead of what I found on my cell phone. Got fettucine alfredo to go and the whole thing was disappointing from bread to fettucine. Made us wonder if it was because it was to go and they wouldn’t see us again. Very bland, don’t chefs taste their food?

Had a a wonderful pizza. While waiting homemade bread with baked garlic was brought to the table. Added some olive oil, it was great! The pizza dough was homemade, perfect, yummy. My cousin had the best soup, cream of chicken. When the spaghettini arrived, she did not like it. The nice waitress asked if she liked it. Anyhow, they were kind enough to not charge for the spaghetti. Would recommend this restaurant! If you like pizza I bet you will love it.

I went here with a group of friend one night. It was about eleven of us. Four of our friends were attending a Giant Recreation World dinner being held in their banquet hall. This large group definitely had an impact on that evenings dinner service on the restaurant side. Everyone in our group had ordered a simple appetizer or a simple main dish. And the orders seem to take quite a long time to come out to the table. we noticed that the tables around this also were experiencing the same. The food was good, but not over-the-top. it was a good visit, but not a memorable one.

Saturday night, 7pm, and the restaurant where we had placed our reservation(days earlier) for 14 really could not handle our party-and were completely unprepared. While waiting at said restaurant, i asked someone to call the Italian restaurant down the street, to see if they could accommodate our large party. First, Amici’s was not the restaurant I was thinking of. BUT, that they could take our group quickly was good enough! We arrived, to celebrate a birthday, and it was fairly crowded. However, they quickly seated us, and our waitress, Sarah, began. I was worried that we may be too much for her. Sarah was a great spirit and did an incredible job. She was so pleasant and rolled with the jokes! Our appetizers were quick and delicious, and she always kept the drinks refreshed and reordered. The sangria must have been tasty, as it kept getting reordered! Our dinners were large portioned and served very hot. My lobster dish was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dinners! We were stuffed! So stuffed that we were unable to eat the birthday cake!!! So happy that we ended up at Amici’s! Cannot say enough positive comments regarding the food and our waitress!

Every now and then I let my fellow non foodie friends lead the way in providing me with my next culinary adventure. I was in St Augustine for the day so she picked Amici. The place is easily noticeable from the main rd. The décor on the inside is very Italian. You get the feel that you in little Italian village with the way the walls are painted and the way they showcased the roof tiling and other Italian like structures. The food is forgettable. I would say they use very basic recipes. If you like that then this is the place for you. I like restaurants where the chefs/cooks put a twist or just make the recipe a little better. I first ordered the fried mozzarella(in which the waiter made it known that it’s just fried cheese. Really, I didn’t know that sir… Ah duh). It tasted like a fried mozzarella you can get at any local grocery store. The marinara was decent but I guessing it was canned. I then ordered the Chicken Alfredo. A nice classic Italian dish. It was plated nicely and had a good sauce to pasta/chicken ratio. It was just bland. It def. needed some salt and some TLC. It just felt like it was reheated tossed in the pasta and served. The chicken had no flavor. To me a big thing to a good Alfredo is seasoning the chicken really well before you even add it to the rest of the dish. Again the whole dish needed some TLC!!! The waiter looked like he had a lot on his plate. Maybe too many tables. To me he was just forgetting the basics of being a good to decent waiter. Taking to long to refill a simple lemonade. Forgetting to clear the table of our appetizer before bringing our entrée. Clearing only one persons dishes, when it was obvious that both people were both eating. I don’t think I am picky, it’s just things I see done automatically at other establishments. The only thing that made it a tad better was the fact that in the month of June they were celebrating their Anniversary so the whole meal was 15% off your total tab. I don’t think I would go back. Not too memorable. Service was ok, Food was ok. Meh!!!

This has become our go to Italian restaurant. Larry loves the veal Marsala & I like the eggplant Parmesan & last night tried their grouper, which was excellent. We order angel hair pasta which keeps the meal lite. We truly love their freshly made balsamic vinaigrette dressing on their fresh & crispy salad. The last 2 visits Tina was our waitress & she is excellent.

My husband enjoyed his shrimp fettuccine, and our waitress tried very hard to please, however the veal scallopini was tasteless.

Amici’s mediocre, tasteless and pedestrian cuisine has about as much in common with quality Italian food as McDonalds does with burgers. When an Italian restaurant couldn’t possibly make it in the big city where real competition benefits the consumer, it finds a home in Saint Augustine and calls itself Amici. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

My soup was ice cold, apparently they forgot to turn on the warmers. The food is bland and nothing spectacular and the service is not the greatest. There were 2 tables in the restaurant yet our server was never around.
