Well they lied — mailed flyer says T-bone steak and strip steak on sale. But store at 5 pm on Friday has none available. kind of ridiculous to not have what your advertising on a Friday night. It makes you wonder if it is a fake ad just to get you in the store

When doing my grocery shopping for more than 1 or 2 things I will go to the SNS up the atrwet, but I prefer to drive the 2 extra miles to this Shop-n-Save location over mine, of which I shall not name. They have a better selection, cleaner floors, friendlier works, cleaner lot. They seem to be more conscience on the cart keep up. I I’m very pleased with the larger selection in the deli, especially the large selection of Kretchmeir meats in the deli. I don’t really drink but they look to have a better wine selection. A few of the clerks at my local SNS are quite friendly, but seem sadly outnumbered by those who seem to be in a constant state of PMS, even the men. My cashier tonight was a bite snippy but moat of my interactions with the St. Ann staff has been pleasant. The Shop-n-Save near me is just 3 blocks from home, but I’d rather drive the 2 extra miles for a better, cleaner and more cheerful staff. A better experience is worth the short drive beyond my local store. My only complaint is the need for better lighting in the parking lot amd the strip leading into the parking lot, after dark, its is, well, dark. I almost hit a wheelchair bound woman because there is no light as you enter off Rock Road. There is no lighting from Rock Road until the gas stations, nor is there a sidewalk so there can be some safety. Add more lighting and the parking lot, which was very clean would also be safe.

I’m a HUGE fan of Shop n Save, and this store ranks with the best of ‘em. 24 hour access(great for us evening shift people who do NOT want to get up at the ass crack of dawn just to grocery shop before work). GREAT prices. Pretty big selection. Helpful staff. I will admit that their produce isn’t always the freshest, and you do need to watch your expiration dates, so I’m knocking a star for that. That said, I missed something once(wonton wrappers that would expire in 4 days) and my checker, Danielle, pointed it out for me! Kudos for that! However, Shop n Save can’t be beat, IMHO, at least not usually. And the fact that the store is 24 hours(and even though they stock at night, the place isn’t ridiculously un-navigable like the hideous Walmart up the road, for example) wins SERIOUS points with me. Two thumbs up.
