We loved the food here! We went because we have been looking for a good schwarma and this is it. They make very fresh food to order and the quality was very good. It was authentic too. People have talked down the interior because it’s a little café at the back of yasmeens grocery but we enjoyed and felt it added to the authenticity of the food. The employees were friendly and helpful.

We learned about Huba’s Hut from my sister-in-law, who brought one of their party platters to a family gathering. We were so impressed by all the nom-able Middle Eastern goodies in that, that the next time we were in Saginaw we had lunch there. This is just a tiny corner of Yasmeen’s Mediterranean grocery, and the dining area is pretty tiny and spartan… but if you don’t mind feeling as if you’re having lunch in a grocery-store aisle(or a tobaccanist’s — hookahs and supplies are right next to the deli), the food is worth visiting for. I really, really enjoyed the baba ghanoush, tabbouli and hummus. My partner had a kofta sandwich of some kind that she didn’t find as pleasing, but I thought it was fine. Just having decent pita bread for a change was a pleasure. We also liked the fact that one of the owners(we assume), who was manning the cash register in the store area, seemed genuinely interested in our impression of the food, and genuinely pleased when we gave him a positive review.

Fantastic Mediterranean food, the wife and I eat here once a week for lunch. The hummus is great, as is the fulfil wrap. I would like see a few more menu items. The staff is always great and very friendly.

A small deli-like structure inside of Yasmeen’s. It seems unassuming but actually the food produced from here is decent. It will satisfy a Mediterranean fix temporarily. I usually get some dolmas, baba ghanoush and hummus. They’re dips are a little olive-oily and the edges of the sauce show it so if that’s gross to you then stay away. However it’s much cheaper than buying the imported stuff from the grocers. The roasted red pepper hummus is pretty decent but the baba ghanoush is what I’d come back for.

Huba’s Hut is inside Yasmeen’s Mediterranean Grocery. There’s a little kitchen in the back, with a couple of tables in front of the hookah display. Their baba ghanoush was listed as a «Tasty Secret» in Tri-City’s annual dining issue, and it is quite good. Fairly extensive menu, ranging from soup to wraps(shawarma, falafel) to «pies»(spanakopita, cheese pie). The falafel are baked instead of fried and it’s made fresh, and they have hummus plus two other flavors(roasted red pepper and something else). Drinks are picked out of the cooler behind you, which included a variety of juices and nonalcoholic drinks — I tried the mint kefir but it was a bit too authentic for me(very sour). My companion tried a brand of cider which came with sugar and guarana in it; he liked it. The food arrives in takeout containers and the environment’s basically a(very clean) grocery store. But the food’s good and the staff is very helpful. My companion had never had Lebanese food before and he really liked it.
