I miss them so much! Glad to hear they will re-open soon.

Great place with great food. I had the shrimp noodle box with grilled veggies and one of their special sauces. DELICIOUS! Staff was friendly and it was easy to access right off the highway. Ambiance: Basic and simple. Pricing: A little pricey but not bad Friendliness: Great Food Taste: Some of the better Vietnamese food I’ve have in Sacrameno Would I come back? Yes, definitely and I would recommend Viet ha based on the service and the quality of their food.

Had the tofu and shrimp noodle box. Shrimp cooked perfectly melt in your mouth! Tofu lightly fried and delicious. The oil from the fried tofu left a little awkward taste in the back of my tongue. But most people would not notice it. Tangy vinaigrette tasted very traditional and the savory sauce was darn delicious. I can’t decide which I liked more. Décor is simple decent. the chairs need to be wiped down major finger prints and food stuck on them. The employees were kind, considerate and likable. I will be coming back again and again! This place is super quick and vegetarian friend.

For sure my favorite Vietnamese restaurant here in Sacramento! Food tastes fresh and well seasoned. Good options for those going gluten free.

If you like the charbroiled pork with cold noodles that you typically find at vietnamese restaurants, this place is right up your alley because that is ALL they serve! This is a extension of their business in South Sac. The big difference between the two is that this place is HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLA Clean. This place is small, so don’t plan to have a party here, but for the price you pay, you cannot beat this place. For your typical order of Bun Thit Nuong is about $ 8 and if you want to add shrimp, egg rolls or tofu, it is extra. They give you a lot of food for the price that you pay. I highly recommend this place. Funniest part is the name of the dressing that is traditionally used for this dish. Its called vinegarette(but it is really something else. Asian people know.) hahaha. Love this place.

I usually don’t give 5 stars and rarely praise about the places unless I really really love the food. I must say I am impressed and recommend anyone who is in Sacramento to try this place. On my way from Napa, I wanted to visit couple of places before I flight back down to SoCal. I book marked couple of places which I thought was around the same vicinities but this was more south than I expected and was a Lil frustrated when I got to the restaurant. I didn’t think much of this place until I got my food in front of me. Brown box filled with fresh romaine lettuce, cilantro, bean sprouts, cucumbers, carrots and radishes… perfectly bbqed pork and rice! The sauce… is just sweet enough to bring all of the food together… yummy. I wish they open a place in SoCal especially in downtown… it will be amazing! Perfect lunch place… they have a choice of rice, vermicelli or you can make into a banh-mi sandwich whatever you feel like.

I got vermicelli noodles with chicken and the soy sauce. My goodness was it delicious. The chicken was a bit over-cooked but everything else made up for it! The noodles were warm and didn’t stick together, the cilantro was fresh, and the sriacha provided a proper kick. Will most definitely be back for more.

I’m Vietnamese(obligatory opening statement so you know my critique on the food has to be more than somewhat valid). That being said, this place is overall very good so long as you do not select the dressing of «savory soy»(aka. teriyaki sauce) for either your noodle box or rice box. I repeat, DON’T SELECTSAVORYSOY. Why, you might ask? Because your food will taste more like a Japanese bento box than Vietnamese food. Therefore, do not be persuaded by the cashier who states that the savory soy is good with rice unless you want Japanese food rather than Vietnamese food. Instead, select the«tangy vinaigrette»(aka. fish sauce) for an authentic Vietnamese experience. Vietnamese use a dipping fish sauce on everything(literally, we dip our steamed vegetables in it and sometimes even fruit like young mango). The most memorable food item for me was the salt & pepper wings(because, really, you can’t get the noodle box or rice box wrong unless you undercook or overcook the noodles, rice, or protein… or mess up the fish sauce or select the savory soy [see paragraph above]). People in Vietnam obsess about fried chicken, so it’s nice to see fried chicken wings on the menu here. These wings were amazing! Don’t know if they consistently come out so crispy and extremely hot, but the texture and temperature made it memorable.

Viet Ha is pretty darn delicious. I went in recently for a quick dinner break while working late. I was also in desperate need of a restroom, as working late in this instance required me to be driving around everywhere. My new car has everything but a built in bathroom, darn it. This is a much better dining and peeing option than Taco Bell next door. I could swear that my food was piping hot and had more flavor last time I came here for a dinner date with the Sig. Fig. a few months ago. The beef is good, but the chewy rubbery texture is odd. Food fluctuation is kind of a turn off. It’s the only one I could possibly name though! Love the shrimps, and the ability to customize the box. Love the take out box itself. Sturdy and allows for me to shake it up to distribute sauce evenly. I’m weird, ok? They make yummy thai tea and have cute tongue-and-cheek signage up everywhere. My favorite is the pac man Om Nom one. I can count on efficient service with a smile when I come in. Still need to try the banh mi!

This place was soo good I was blown away. The location is really almost hidden next to the Taco Bell on Broadway and that’s how I totally missed it. Thanks to a fellow Unilocaler I was drawn to come here after their review! This is basically a Vietnamese Chipotle. Everything is fresh and the meat is very good and the sauces they give you is the a perfect flavor combo. Recently brought my fiancée here and he was actually upset he didn’t have this sooner. Two boxes under $ 14 you cant go wrong. I always get the rice but tried the noodles and they were awesome. Had the wings which were tasty as well as the wontons. The box alone is more than filling so probably wont get the sides in the future but still good. The actual original Viet Ha is close to our home and we had no idea how good it was we will be checking it out soon!

The food is yummy and fresh, but it is NOT Vietnamese. It’s Viet-ish. My friend says Viet Ha is the«Chipotle of Vietnamese food.» Friendly staff. Quick service(ordered via phone). If I worked in this area I’d be celebrating the introduction of a place where you can eat readily healthy food for an affordable cost. Vermicelli box with grilled pork $ 7 | The portion of rice noodles is very generous, but it makes the bulk of the meal. Essentially, it’s a Bahn Mi bowl. Grilled pork(which could DEFINITELY use more flavor and more char) and all of their«garnishes»: pickled carrots, bean sprouts, shredded crunchy romaine, cilantro and fried shallots. I honestly forgot the shallots(which I always have a container of in my house) were on the dish until I saw the photo I took. The savory soy«dressing» is VERY sweet, contrary to its name. It does not have the normal balance of flavor wallop that Vietnamese cuisine is known for; for the love of god, use some lemongrass and more fish sauce. In fact, I couldn’t taste any fish sauce. I had to use hella garlic chili srriracha for some heat and there was a serious lack of acidity. But, if you forget it’s supposed to be Vietnamese, it’s a rather yummy and fresh salad. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings $ 5 | There’s no photo because they never made it to the house. Expensive at $ 5 for five wings… they are worth every bit. Crispy, crunchy, tender, spicy(!), salty and everything you want in a chicken wing. Forget those crappy wing places, eat wings here. Parking is a bitch.

Delicious Vietnamese goodness. If you’ve been to Fresh Roll in Powell, SF, this is pretty similar, but not as many options. You can choose from a banh mi(sandwich), bun(noodles), or rice box. For toppings, chicken, pork, shrimp, tofu. Garnish is bean sprout, carrot, lettuce, fried shallots, cilantro. I ordered the pork rice box and it was delicious. The sodium level is nice with the tangy vinegrette(fish sauce). Good meal for the right price.

Whoa! I have no doubts at all cause Viet Ha Noodles & Grill is my go-to spot to munch some awesomeness of Vietnamese entrees in no time! Located at Broadway near the DMV Headquarters and McDonald’s at the Curtis Park neighborhood, this small, casual place gives the taste of remarkable steamed vermicelli noodles as well as banh mi too! On 11÷4÷2015, I decided to try that place out. As I entered, this place is small, yet in a speedy, friendly matter! The concept is very contemporary indie made filled with vintage bricks and furniture too! The employees are doing an excellent job for making the customers like me a fantastic service! No cons at all! For the process, I started with the CYO noodle box. In this process, it has all the garnishes for this vermicelli noodle box which it includes green onions, basil, cilantro, carrots, white carrots etc. Then, I can pick 1 or 2 proteins of my choice, so I chose chicken as my protein add-on. Finally, I can choose 1 of 3 dressing choices to complete it. I picked the Vinaigrette as my dressing choice. So far, as I ate it, that noodle box creations that I’ve made is totally superb! The ingredients are very fresh and eatable to eat! The proteins like chicken cooked perfectly without all the dryness and burnts. What an excellent meal for a Vietnamese fix! Parking at Broadway can be difficult to park, you can park it at the nearest surface street parking available. Otherwise, you can walk, ride a bike, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. All in all, Viet Ha Noodles & Grill the coolest local Vietnamese shop, so you can get your Vietnamese foods faster! Perfect for lunch breaks for most workers and residents near and far. A well, worthy visit! My rating: 5 solid stars.

Small cute little restaurant. Loved the décor inside. Not sure if it’s the same chain as the Viet Ha in south sac, but this restaurant has a smaller menu and you also basically serve yourself. You just order and once ur food is ready, pick it up at the counter and proceed to get your own utensils, etc. The menu you can choose to get vermicelli noodles, rice, or a Vietnamese sandwich(banh mi) and your choose of meat & sauce. They have two kind of sauces: tangy vinaigrette, which is the traditional fish sauce, or the savory soy which is kinda like a teriyaki sauce. I ordered the noodle box with beef and with the vinaigrette sauce. It came with a lot of garnish and vegetables. It also came with a generous amount of meat. I kinda wish it came with egg rolls as well($ 2 extra) just because other locations usually comes with egg rolls for the same price. But oh well, this box filled me up already. Every bite I had, it was enough to have at least 2 pieces of meat onto it. It was flavorful. BF ordered the rice box with pork and with the savory soy. He really liked it and I thought the sauce went really well with it. I also ordered the pomegranate iced tea sweetened. It was really refreshing and light. It also had the right amount of sweetness to it. It wasn’t too sweet but it was enough. They have a fridge of Asian drinks to choose from!

Came back, this time on a Friday so I just have to update my 3 stars to a 5. I love how they have pictures of their menu items hanging on the brick wall. Cute and convenient ! We ordered a beef banh mi for the bf, and a vermicelli box with a pomegranate raspberry tea for myself . Second times try was a success ! Not only was Annie’s customer service on point, the food was as well. My only complaint would be the bread used for the banh mi. It was kind of tough to eat with the bread cutting the roof of my mouth. Other than that, everything was awesome. The thit nuong in my vermicelli was tender, flavorful, and plentiful. They definitely did not skimp out on the meat! My boyfriends banh mi was packed with the right amount of everything ! Enough meat, daikon, carrots, and cilantro. It was yummy . I’m so glad we were able to give this place a second try. We will definitely be back :)

I’ve been wanting to visit since this place opened and I finally got to and it was SO worth it. Reasonably-priced, fresh, fantastic Vietnamese food. They don’t have soup; their main model is bun in a box with rice or noodles. TONS of meat, TONS of veggies, and the savory soy dressing is DELICIOUS on all of it. I can’t wait to go back.

Came here with a friend to check this place out on a Wednesday. The place wasn’t busy and there was no line when we came for dinner. Food: HIGHLY recommend their banh mi! It was really delicious! The bread was fluffy and soft on the inside and has that nice crunch on the outside. They don’t skimp out on the meat. I got it with the pork and it was really juicy. The banh mi also had a good amount of veggies to balance out the flavors and adds a nice tangy crunch. It was really tasty. Would definitely come back just for the banh mi! Ambiance: The inside is very modern with a minimalistic feel. There aren’t a lot of tables to dine in but I noticed a lot of people to go their orders or call in before hand and pick up. Parking: To my knowledge, they don’t have their own parking lot which is a bummer. There’s a couple parking spots on the street right outside of the restaurant. If those aren’t available, you gotta circle around the block and hope you get lucky.

Only ordered once from here, but that one time hooked me. Now I can get a banh mi fix steps from my office. Sure, it’s not as cheap as the places lined on Stockton blvd, but hey, I’ll save money on gas coming here. The bread is fantastic, that hallmark crust and soft inside that puts banh mi steps above Subway. I like how I can get beef on my sandwich, not a typical banh mi protein choice. Tofu is available for veg-heads. Mmmmm. Even that’s divine! The sauces that are served on the side makes up for the fact they don’t have headcheese or pâté. Oh yum!
