Excellent work. I was very happy with the quality and timeliness of the project’s completion. The owner(Tran) listened to everything I wanted and completely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend TQT Landscaping. His entire crew worked tirelessly to finish my backyard and the price was right.

We decided to go with this company because it seemed like the owner, Mr. Tran, knew what he was talking about and the price point was affordable for us. The lesson is you really get what you pay for. We couldn’t resist the deal because he was going to add a cement walkway, sod, sprinkler system and bark for $ 5,500. We interviewed a total of 10 landscapers and the price point went as high as $ 14,000 for the same things. He was not very professional with us. In the beginning, I asked him to draw out what he planned on doing and include the measurements, he hand drew something and said he would figure the measurements out later. I asked him to do it before he started(to avoid any unwanted disputes). I wanted to see exactly how it would look. He treated it as if it were a bother. I also asked him to write down his guarantees. When he started work on our backyard, it was very quick but there were issues with the quality of his work. The workers had made a hole on our window screen and several areas of our house siding were scratched deeply where there had been no issues prior. The day before he was supposed to put the sod in, I went out to inspect the cement work. There were lots of chips, cracks, the cement was not level, air pockets and uneven lines. I called him to let him know and he in his brisk manner, told me he’d look at it. He came by when I wasn’t home and removed all the notes I had left where the cracks and chips were(that was my only indication he came by because he didn’t call to notify me or ask me about it.) I assumed he had tried to «fix» things but couldn’t tell what he had done, other than sanding a small piece of concrete down because it was so pointy on the edges. I was upset and called him. I told him I felt like his workmanship was not what he had promised(prior to starting, he said he would do a better job on the backyard cement walkway than our driveway, which looked really good.) He said he had been in business for 20 years and I was incredulous at the thought. If so, why the lack of communication with your client and why all the very obvious cracks and chips on the cement? If this was going to happen in the first week, what would happen months down the line? Would much of my walkway crumble? He got upset and told me I was too young and didn’t know what I was talking about. If he was going to react to a client this way because she told him his workmanship was not up to par, how professional was this? He told me he would take me to court, to which I answered, «yes, let’s do this. I have pictures to prove my statements.» He immediately quieted down, I feel it was because he knew he was in the wrong. The next day he apologized for his outburst but I wasn’t interested in that. I literally had to stay on him to make sure he corrected every mistake he and his workers made. I don’t see how he could’ve lasted 20 years in the business with his conduct and his work quality. Overall, I gave him two stars instead of one because he was willing to fix many of the issues(not very well, but I would take that over nothing). I would not recommend him unless you don’t mind putting up with sub par work for a cheaper price.
