Love this place. Boyfriend is a regular and the owner basically treats him like her own son

Pork buns are excellent. Definitely worth trying again. Entrées are very mediocre, would not try entrées again prices higher than what product worth.

This place is garbage. Not one thing here is edible. I wasted my money here for the last time. I’d rather starve than choke down this sewage one more time. It’s so bad. Like no redeemable qualities at all. Save your time and money and cook your own food. That’s what I’m doing from now on. if i ever want Chinese food again. By the way the chow mein has an ammonia after taste and all the chicken made me gag. This dump earned negative 5 stars for real

I ordered their jalapeño chicken from a recommendation from my cousins who are regulars at this place. I am glad I listened to my cousin because it was absolutely delicious and filled with flavors! If you are in the area and is on your way to Panda Express. Please stop and give this place a try

I’m impressed. This place deserve more stars than it is getting! The quality and quantity of food is top notch, makes panda express taste generic. My family raves about this place and now I see why. Huge portions, great price and bomb, not oily Chinese food. This is my new favorite. You must try the jalapeño chicken, my life is now complete. Don’t ever let go Tiger Bowl.

We went in on a Thursday night. It was empty. The food looked old. We got no service. No greeting, nothing. Lady was just talking on the phone chatting and not taking an order because she was talking for the whole five minutes we were in there. Good luck to the next customer.

I had a horrible experience. Use to come here for the teriyaki chicken. That is good. I brought people here when grabbing a quick bite to eat and even referred people here. Tonight I debated on driving across town for dinner but had a taste for chicken. When I got in all 3 of the staff were sitting at a table and it seemed as if I disturbed them. I asked for teriyaki chicken. The woman told me that they were out then walked away. No my apologies no would you like something else. Not even a recommendation. I told the gentleman that their customer service was a little rude. He told me «yea whatever«. One year ago when I moved to Elk Grove I seen this restaurant had a grand opening sign and wanted to support their new business. I can tell you all that the teriyaki chicken is good but sorry I can’t talk about anything else because they obviously didn’t want my business. Therefore I will never be back. I give-5 stars

It’s not bad, just came here u decided what to do for lunch. Went with the BBQ bao bun, and a coconut roll. Not delicious, but nothing more then that. I do like the fact that it seems as though they make their own. So three stars for freshness and friendly staff :)

Still awesome Chinese food at a decent price(bigger portions than panda for same or better $). In addition to BBQ pork bao, they have chicken curry and sweet coconut. While the pork are still my favorite, the new additions are definitely worth a try!

I gave this place more chances than it honestly deserved. I live close by and have seen that this place has been owned and remodeled several times since I’ve moved here, each time worst than the last. The only reason I went here was because of how close it is compared to the Panda Express, which I don’t really like. The first time I went there, the food was mostly gone so I got a bbq pork roll from the bakery side. It was OK, but too sweet. For $ 1, you can’t really complain, though. The second time I went there, I asked if the food was fresh since it looked a bit… soggy. She said it was hot and that I could look at the steam… which was rising from the water underneath, not the food. Whatever, fine. I tried the orange chicken, jalapeño chicken, and the rice and chow mien. When I got home the food was cold and tasted like it was a day old, soggy tasteless chicken mixed in with crunchy bits of rice. Eh, maybe I got them on a bad day. The third time I go there, the woman is speaking with the old man in the back who I assume is the cook. She was chatting and chatting, there was someone in front of me and we exchanged looks and couldn’t believe they were this unprofessional. After a few minutes, I decided to go next door to ToGo’s. The other guy followed me out. The fourth time I went there, earlier today, I figured I would try the food again. Once again, it looked like garbage. This time I asked to try a few different items. Every single thing was COLD and TASTELESS. I walked out and won’t be returning there ever again. Maybe this location is cursed to have terrible chinese take out, no matter who owns it. All I can say is that this is LITERALLY the WORST«restaurant» I’ve ever had the misfortune of visiting. The food is, and I mean this truly, disgusting. I felt sick after eating the food here and was stupid enough to go back. I honestly hope I can save someone $ 9 by posting this review. It’s almost insulting that their standards are so low, but I’m sure this time next year it’ll be up for lease again. Couldn’t be soon enough.

The lady. Who works here is so sweet, and nice. They have great chinese food, at such reasonable prices. The prices seem cheaper than panda and food is awesome. Generous serving. I went on a tues around 930 pm and even though they normally close at 9. They were open and made fresh house rice, chow fun, and got a variety of chicken and pork. So good. The owner is a nice man who takes pride in everything he cooks. I Will be back

Tiger Bowl is probably the coolest name ever… After not having been to Egg Roll Stix in a while, I decided to go grab some lunch there the other day. To my surprise, Egg Roll Stix was gone and Tiger Bowl, with the super cool logo out front, was sitting in its place. There were Grand Opening Banners out front, and I guess this place has been open for roughly five months, but I could be a little inaccurate. The place looks the same inside. A nice lady at the counter offered up samples of the days offerings, like Panda, so that was cool. I went with the combo #3 that comes standard with chow mein and fried rice along with two choices from the food displayed in front of me. I went with the Jalapeño Chicken and the General Tsao’s Chicken because aside from Mongolian Beef and Sweet n Sour Pork(not a huge fan of either), chicken was about it! They definitely don’t skip on the portions. You get a lot of food for your money. At least I did on this visit anyway. I got in and out of the place fairly quick, with food to go, as there was nobody in the dining room at 1:30 in the afternoon. Kind of a bad sign. The Jalapeño chicken was good. Good flavor with a respectable level of heat. The General’s chicken was pretty good too. A little sweet for my taste, but I would order it again. The chow mein was very yummy while the fried rice was mushy and flavorless. I didn’t eat any more than one bite of the rice because I wasn’t sure if they serve it like that or if it actually never made it to the wok. Since it is on display for all to see, my guess was that they serve it that way. If I were to dare suggest how to improve it… I would suggest turning up the wok higher, hitting it with more sesame oil and adding some bacon — of course. But who am I to tell a Chinese cook how to make fried rice? I’m just a fat round-eye’d dude, whistling Yankee Doodle Dandy, who’s eaten more of the stuff than I have actually cooked. Maybe some people like it that way, but when compared to how good the chow mein was… It just seemed odd to me. Three stars. I would come back again if in the neighborhood. It’s a mom and pop place, and I would like to see them do well as my experience was friendly and fast. And I still got more than enough to eat despite pitching my rice down the sink. Oh I should also mention… They had a few shelves of fresh pork buns available at the register. I didn’t partake this visit, but I know a lot of people who Jones hard(or «Li» hard, depending where you are at) for those things. Enjoy!

Hmmm… I don’t really know what to think. This place used to be pretty good for a quick go to fix, but it seems that they changed chefs/bakers. I ordered a few sui mai(pork/shrimp dumplings) and bbq pork bao. The sui mai was about the same, but the BBQ pork Bao was terrible. There was hardly any meat inside, the bread was dry, and it tasted like coconut. So if you’re allergic to coconut I wouldn’t eat here because I dont think they cleaned their prep containers well. Edit: I swore I wrote a review on the place when they started Dim Sum(3 stars), but it looks like Unilocal deleted it.

While Joe K and I were in the Lowe’s shopping center, we realized our busy day had gotten late and we hadn’t eaten dinner yet, so I spied this Chinese restaurant on the opposite side of the parking lot that apparently took the place of the previous Pick Up Stix Chinese Restaurant which in turn had taken over a Chinese restaurant before them! Anyway, I was in the mood for Asian cuisine and decided this was good a place as any. When we entered, we were greeted by a friendly woman who immediately offered samples of their food that were on display and ready for serving. They have a special where you can choose 2,3,or 4 food items at very reasonable prices and the portions are pretty large! I mentioned that I didn’t want anything with meat in it and was offered plain or fried Tofu. I thought that was a nice touch as the cook in the kitchen area immediately prepared a nice helping of fried Tofu specially made for me. Our meals came with rice, chow mein noodles, vegetables, and your choice of a main course such as different styles of chicken, beef, pork or shrimp. They have a comfortable little dining area, but it quickly became apparent that they are not prepared for, or would prefer not, to have people dining in, as we got our food in to-go styro-foam containers with plastic ware. It felt a little unusual, but it’s obvious that by the amount of food you get, chances are that you will most likely be taking some home. You already have your containers with you and they don’t have to do any dishes! I guess time and money gets saved in a mutual symbiotic way… One of the highlights of this restaurant is that they also offer some delicious looking baked goods and desserts. Joe and I couldn’t resist taking a couple of big almond cookies home to eat later. The food as a whole was of «A-OK» quality and satisfied our appetites. I must admit, the cookies were my favorite! And I think it’s safe to say that returning here IS likely.

I ate here today for lunch and the food was pretty good and there was lots of it. I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice combo. The sauce the beef was in was very, very warm so be careful! I’ll go back and may change my review after that, but the food here is very good. I took half my meal home and tossed it in the fridge for tomorrow. What’s not so good is pretty much everything else. They have covered up the old menu behind the counter with butcher paper that is falling down. I assume the menu is from when this was a Pick Up Stix. I knew better than to eat there and never went in. They serve their dine in meals in a «to go» foam box with a cheap plastic fork. Hey! How about a cheap plastic knife to cut the meat with? Then the fountain drinks are also in a stinking foam cup! ½ the fountain drinks are blocked off with crappy cheap-ass stickers. Are the people that own this place really so stupid that they can’t fix these problems? The food is good and the prices are OK. Everything else about this place sucks!

Decent Chinese food, I’ve tried the Teriyaki chicken, the broccoli beef, general chicken, and jalapeño chicken over rice. What really intrigued me was the word«bakery» in the name. My first visit was a weekend afternoon, which turned out to be much too late to get any bbq pork buns(char siu bao), to my dismay. Their bakery and dimsum menu says the pork buns are only $ 1 each, no wonder! My second visit I was able to come in a little before 10am on a Saturday and order a dozen of the pork bao. They were massive, and even had chunks of meat spilling out. A dozen for about $ 13 is not bad at all, and they do taste pretty good — different flavors in the meat but in a good way, the bread is substantial, I easily ate two buns in one sitting. No pink bakery boxes though, just styrofoam takeout containers.

I’ve only been here for take-out, but let’s be honest, while they have tables here, it’s more of a take-out kind of place. They’ve recently«rebranded» themselves as a Chinese restaurant/bakery. Service: Very friendly, haven’t had a problem and they’re quite nice. Food: Well, it’s a restaurant in a strip mall. So keep your expectations realistic. I’ve certainly had better, but I’ve had worse too. It’s decent. I recently tried their bread(they have one that’s sweet and one that’s salty and sweet) and it was pretty good. Conclusion: It’s a decent neighborhood choice. I would never recommend it as a destination restaurant, but if you live nearby, you could do worse.
