It is kinda sad that you closed, if I could have tried 1 more time on the pad thai and not venture away to another dish I’d never tried here before, I would be there for sure. Hope you get your kinks straight with kitchen, food consistency and staff being attentive and not bored to death at the counter, then y’all could probably succeed. It seems a lot of people in Sac like your food.

Not surprised to hear this place closed. Very unfriendly staff… they deserved to go out of business.

I have been here a few times… each time has been a bit inconsistent… usually during lunch. Used a groupon or other discount voucher. Drunken noodles aka pad kee mao I think is good. Green curry is delicious and spicy. Beef Larb is not very authentic. Love the mango sticky rice dessert. The eggplant chicken and shrimp stir fry is good… lunch can take a while. Calling in ahead to place order for dine in is good… limited parking — have to park in compact lot shared with la bou and lemon grass… however it is the only semi authentic Thai place in the arden area… nice people work there…

Service was very accomodating and I was checked on at least three times regarding my food. I had the pad thai see-ew mild and hubby had pad thai mild, but shouldve ordered it hot, another plus is that its open late. Décor is very authentic and very nice. Dessert was the rum banana with coconut ice cream.

They’re right next to the Sprint store on Howe, so I thought I’d drop by and order some yellow curry to-go. Instead of chicken, I asked for tofu. After a ten minute wait(!!), they finally brought me my $ 11.50 tofu curry. But upon arriving home, I discovered there was no tofu. None. Despite my explicit instructions, they left out the tofu. Instead, I apparently paid $ 11.50 for a Styrofoam container of soggy onions and undercooked, crunch potatoes. Ugh. By this point, it was too late to drive all the way back to the restaurant and ask for a refund. I’d wasted enough of my time with them already. Please don’t eat here. You’ll regret it.

I always order their Pad Kee Mao also known as Drunken Noodles. It is very well portioned and is amazingly flavorful! I also have ordered their Pad Thai which is great too. I definitely recommend their Yellow Curry with a side of their Jasmine rice. Not only is their food delicious, their service is always wonderful. I’ve always bought their Thai Cottage deal on either Groupon or Livingsocials which is practically half off. But we always end up spending way more anyways because of their delicious food.

Pretty much the worst Thai restaurant I have been to. The pad-se-ew noodles were awful. They are super thin and tasted mushy. YUCK!!! The flavor was lacking big time. And the portion size was tiny. Quite a disappointment since this is usually my favorite dish. And their tiny portions don’t even come with rice. nope that’ll be another few bucks per person for freaking rice. really??? LAME The service was quite poor as well. Even though the restaurant was empty the servers were nowhere to be found. They just didn’t care at all. I will definitely not return.

I was dining alone this particular evening. Some restaurants that can feel awkward, but here I felt they were very accommodating and I didn’t feel out of place. My waitress was very nice, and took my order. About half way through my meal somebody else took over, but it went smoothly. This place has the ambience of a classy restaurant including the dress code of the employees, but everyone working there is very easy going and informal. I got the sense this was a family owned restaurant or all the employees seemed really tightly knit. I have a feeling my waitress was on break, because I could see her sitting on one of the stools up front but the other worker behind the bar took over. Regardless of the reason, I never felt neglected. There was always someone there to take care of my requests. The food was awesome! I took a chance on some noodle soup I never tried before and loved it! And the Thai tea was sooo good! After my meal I was busy texting my sister about some recent events. They never made me feel rushed or out of place for relaxing there longer than just my meal. Overall, I say these people working here are really nice, efficient, and family oriented as well as welcoming to the dining for one crowd. I loved the décor and the food was great! I don’t know how they do during busy times, but this is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

I haven’t been to this restaurant in a while. I was meeting a friend up for dinner in that area and this was the only Thai restaurant I could think of. The service was superb! I ordered the Thai boat noodle. It was delicious! I believe it was approximately $ 8.75. The waiter was extremely nice and gave us free Thai teas. I was a happy customer.

I’ve come here before, but based on last night’s experience, I doubt I’ll be back! We were seated quickly for dinner, and it took a few minutes for the waitress to take our order once we had decided. We got our food, which was good. That’s where the pleasent experience ended. We had finished our rice, but I still had half of my curry dish left. I had planned to do what I always do at Thai restaurants: order an extra serving of rice and take home my leftovers for lunch the next day. We finished our meal, put our napkins on the table, and waited. And waited. And waited. And… waited. The server NEVER came back, despite making eye contact, or walking by as I raised my hand and said, «excuse me?» I never ordered my extra rice. We never got our bill. I couldn’t even ask for a to-go box for my curry. My husband finally got fed up and walked up to the register to pay. I stood up and had to walk around the restaurant to find someone to get me a to-go box so we could go. The whole thing took SO much longer than it should have, and we left frustrated and disapointed. I had to turn to my rice maker at home in order to supplement my leftovers! The food was good, but the service is very lacking!

My boyfriend loves Thai food, and so since this place is close to the school, we figured we’d give it a try. I am so glad that we did because we’ve found our new favorite Thai place in Sacramento! We went there around 9:30PM on a Thursday night. There were no other people in their except for the employees. When you first walk in, you notice how authentic the place looks! Most of the employees are dressed in traditional Asian clothing which is cool. I think it adds character! The guy working was quick to take our order, and brought our waters immediately which we always like(especially since Thai food can have some kick to it!) For an appetizer, we ordered the #4 Goong Non Vang… it was delicious! It is essentially shrimp wrapped in bacon served in a won-ton shell with thai seasoning and sweet & sour sauce… mmm, it was amazing!!! Definitely got us off on the right start with this place… For our entrees, I got the Kao Pad aka Thai fried rice which is #35 on the menu. It was so delicious! It tasted super fresh and the way fried rice SHOULD taste — you could taste the spices and the soy sauce and it was just delicious. I was excited to have left overs so I could experience the tasty goodness again for lunch! My boyfriend got the Pa Nang aka Red curry chicken with rice, #24 on the menu. He ordered for it to be at the«hot» level since the waiter said that the«Thai hot» sauce might be too much for him… well the waiter was right. the«hot» level was perfect. I didn’t try it because I don’t like spicy stuff, but he said it was just the right level for him. Our meal came out to about $ 30 — not bad considering the quantity AND the quality of the food! My ONLY complaint about our experience is that two of the employees that were off of work I think were sitting at a table across the room watching some kind of asian pop music video the whole time and making a lot of noise while talking and laughing. Eventually our waiter went over to sit with them and began doing the same so he got distracted and forgot to bring us more water. We’re definitely going to return to this place! Just waiting on that next paycheck… :)

I came here on a weekend evening and the place had one other group dining in. I did see a few other people come in for to-go orders though. Thai Cottage has a dark, kind of «intimate» vibe to it, but it’s kind of cold inside. It probably didn’t help that we were seated right next to the door and windows. The service is very casual. One waitress was very helpful and consistently refilled our waters. But another waitress was not that friendly and kind of had an attitude. Anyway, about the food: –Pad Kee Mao, number 34($ 9.95): this is the Thai version of chow fun. It has chicken, shrimp, and broccoli. We ordered the medium and it was really spicy with certain bites, and not so spicy with others. –Pa-Nang, number 24($ 9.95): red curry in coconut milk. I kind of wish that there was more meat in this, but it was still pretty tasty overall. Red curry is always my favorite type of curry. We also ordered medium spice, though it wasn’t all that spicy. –Rice($ 2.00): we tried to order brown rice but they were all out; so we went with white rice. Overall, the food is decent. The portion is fair, but not as large as I have had at other Thai restaurants. It was enough for my boyfriend and I, though. The only reason it’s not a three-star is the fact that there were bugs flying around. I found one crawling on the table before dinner arrived at the table, and then one one during. They weren’t big bugs, but still. Notes: –They share a lot with La Bou/Lemongrass. Parking is pretty easy.

The seting of this restaurant right when you walk in is a fancy feeling, due to their lay out and furniture selection. They do a great job at greeting customers as they walk in which makes you feel welcomed. They start you off with water without even asking if you want any, which me personally I like when places do that cause I feel like it should come standard. Their selection is great and you do have choices. Price isabout average for sit down restaurants, but is a great location to bring a date Their hospitality is on par and they check to make sure you are doing well every 5 – 10 minutes, which to some may be excessive but I like that they are tentative and make sure your visit wont be your last. Quality of the food back up your experience and make it even better. I personally was satisfied with my food and so was my date. We definitely will be coming back.

My boyfriend I have been here a couple times and tried a handful of dishes. Nothing too exciting, pretty decent food. Honestly, we only ever come here when the Thai Restaurant we perfer is closed. It definitely cures a thai fix, so, I’m satisfied.

Excellent authentic Thai Restaurant. The food was fresh and had lots of flavor. The wait staff was very friendly and gracious. The Pad Thai was very favorful. The spicy green bean and tofu veggie entrée had just the right amount of spiciness to it. If you use a coupon, you do have to give it to them in advance. But it clearly says so both on the window near the entrance and on the menu.

Came here once for my birthday a few years ago. Came back again tonight with my boyfriend. We ordered the Panang Curry w/White Rice, the Thai Style Fried Rice and Pad Kee Mau. We almost ordered all the dishes Thai Spicy but the waitress warned us and told us to order the regular hot. I’m so glad she did because the regular hot was already way too spicy for me. The Panang Curry w/Chicken came with some carrots, basil and bamboo shoots. Not a lot of veggies. Meatier than most Thai restaurants. My boyfriend loved this dish.($ 9.95 + $ 1 for rice). I ordered the Pad Kee Mau. The flavors were there, BUT there were barely any noodles! :-(Also, the rice noodles they used were not the wide noodles I’m used to eating. It was shorter, like the ones you would have in a noodle soup. This dish also reminded me more of a stir fry than a noodle dish. It came with chicken, shrimp, onions, carrots, and broccoli.($ 9.95) The Thai Style Fried Rice was very good. It came with shrimp, chicken, onions, peas, and carrots. I liked it alot.($ 9.95) The Thai Iced Tea was okay. A little too sweet for my taste. Overall, a good place for Thai food. I would definitely come again.

The restaurant looks really small outside. I passed right by it when I was trying to find it. Inside, it is narrow but long. Portions didn’t look too big but I left full and had leftovers. They did give us a lot of white rice though. Pla Chu Chee($ 13.95) — King salmon lightly fried, topped with roasted red chili, kaffir lime and coconut milk. It also had carrots and red peppers. Gang Ga Ree($ 9.95) — Yellow curry with Thai herbs and spices in creamy coconut milk. It comes with a choice of beef, chicken, or pork as well as carrots, onions, potatoes, and red pepper. I wish there were more potatoes. Everything was A-OK.

Found this little restaurant and based on previous reviews, decided to give it a shot. It was not very impressive. I stopped in for lunch. One look at their lunch menu left me with two very troubling realities: they did not offer fresh rolls and there was nothing vegetarian. I asked to see the dinner menu and there was a small vegetarian section — but still NOFRESHROLLS. I decided on Prik-King-Tao-Hoo as an entrée, a roasted curry dish with green beans, red peppers and stir fried tofu, spice level«hot». I also ordered brown rice — all from the dinner menu. I also had to ask for a small salad that typically comes with their lunch specials. The salad came fast — it had a peanut vinaigrette and was okay. Next came my entrée, which was also fast. The tofu was a great consistency and the veggies were good. The serving size was pretty average although not enough to all for my favorite part about eating Thai — leftovers! The sauce was okay but with an insane amount of salt! The spice level was just about right. The service was good — attentive and fast EXCEPT that I never got my water glass refilled! My total bill was $ 11 — about what I usually pay for lunch but it usually includes fresh rolls! :-( All in all, I probably would not come here again. There are so many great Thai restaurants in the area and so many I haven’t tried yet. I’d recommend you keep looking.

Today is my last day in Sacramento. I decided Thai was in order. So I drive down the street to Thai Cottage and wow. the parking is atrocious. I guess La Bou & Lemon Grass is super popular since the parking spots were all taken as well as street parking. After I found some street parking, I walked on over to the place. La Bou and Lemon Grass was buzzing. I went to Thai Cottage and there was 1 table and two people waiting for to-go. The menu’s not very complex and has the standard Thai dishes. I decided on Pad See Ew since my boyfriend LOVES fat noodles and I can’t eat everything I order. Anyways, I received my order in less than 5 min. It was crazy. I was a little surprised by the portion size, maybe it was due to the fact that it wasn’t really on a plate and in a huge container. I took my first bite and wowsers. SPICY. I ordered medium spice… apparently you can order mild, medium, spicy, and thai spicy. I can only imagine what Thai Spicy would be. I can handle my spice, but man I was crying as I ate. It was sad cause I lost a lot of the taste since I was fighting with the spiciness of the food. Overall it was good, price was okay and service was fast.
