Bad service, wouldn’t recommend visiting this location again! Veggies looked days old also. Definitely not eating fresh.

The employees who work at this subway location are all rude and seem to hate their jobs. I work close by so this is the closest sand which spot for me to go on my lunch breaks. I’ve been here numerous times and each experience is the same. I always ask for light mayonnaise and light mustard but they don’t seem to care I asked for«light» they just squeeze whatever they want on my sandwich. Today I heard an employee literally yelling at a customer about what his coupon was good for because he didn’t seem to understand. Besides the horrible customer service, there’s a lot of homeless people that like to hangout there since it is right by the light rail. I don’t think I’m ever settling for this place again! They need new management.

The guy who did my meat and bread was very friendly. He loaded extra turkey meat for me just because I asked him how his day was going. The topping station was horrible because they lady was rude since I said no mayo or mustard. And she only put 3 tomoatoes. When I asked for more she gave me a dirty look. This subway is skimpy on their toppings. I only go here because it’s close to work and it’s a variety from my usual Mexican at Alejandros.

This Subway in downtown tends to attract the homeless since they accept EBT and it’s located across the street from Cesar Chavez Park. It can be difficult dealing with these people but the owners and staff work well under those conditions. My recent visit here was having a Cold Cut Combo. It was a good value at $ 5.45 for a foot-long. The female cashier, who is part owner, was friendly as she rang up my order. I generally have a solid experience whenever I dine at this location.

Meh, it’s Subway. Not the cleanest, freshest, friendlyist or tastiest but it works. Customer service kind of lacks but it’s kind of understandable considering the management and half of the clientele. The sandwiches are also the saddest slapped together looking things. Sure it’s cheap but it often looks like hell. They don’t really accept coupons and don’t carry Swiss cheese but I still end up there time to time. I usually get my sandwich to go as it gets crowded and half way through my meal I’m usually bummed I didn’t take it back to the office.

This happened to us on November 1, 2014 /Saturday, a little after 11am. My two friends & me and 3 of our kids just finished the *Runnin’ for Rhett* race at Crocker Park in downtown Sacramento this morning. We went to Subway at this location & received the WORST customer service ever. There was a younger blonde lady & an older lady that were extremely rude to us & it seemed like we were bothering them when we were trying to communicate our order to them. I ordered the Hot Pastrami(my favorite) & the younger lady seemed irritated when I had asked her to heat up the meat in the tray & drain the grease(like they do it at all the other Subways I go to). The older lady grabbed the pastrami off the bread & heated it up in a tray but did not drain the grease like I had asked. She seemed to heat it up in a microwave under the counter? My friend ordered the same sandwich and also asked these ladies the same thing but she got A LOT of attitude. I pointed out to the the older lady that I did not like their customer service. She was placed on the spot where she reluctantly apologized but really didn’t give a damn. The younger lady changed her attitude a little after she heard what I said. If it weren’t the fact that we were all extremely hungry & all had to go to the bathroom we would have all walked out. When we asked if we could use the restroom, they said we had to ‘finish’ paying for our orders before we could use the bathrooms. We had 3 teenage boys with us & we just RAN a race, all wearing the same race shirts. There was a child behind the counter, around 9 years old I think who was probably the child of one of the workers. This child looked bored & seemed like he did not want to be there. After the older lady made these sandwiches, she went outside, in FRONT of the restaurant to smoke and complain about us to some gentleman. We were seated by the front door & she kept pointing at us. When she came back inside through the front door smelling horrible from the smoke, I asked her, her manager’s name. She said Joyce Dear or Gear. Checking Unilocal, I see that there are similar negative comments about this Subway location, one naming a worker named Joyce. I believe this older lady must have been Joyce herself. This experience was extremely unprofessional. Needless to say, we will never return to this Subway location ever. The Elk Grove location we frequent is awesome & likewise with all the Subways we’ve been to. We are runners & eat at Subway frequently. We run a lot of races in downtown Sacramento & we will AVOID this Subway location & tell all our friends & family to do the same. I also made a complaint to Subway’s corporate office.

I used to eat breakfast here a lot, as subway always seems to have good«coffee and sandwich» breakfast deals. One morning I went in to order my usual and while trying to decide which cheese to select, a cockroach crawls out of the cheese and right on to the counter where they prepare the sandwiches. When I notified the people working there, they only expressed dismay that they’d have to replace the cheese(just that one container) even though it was clear that the roach(or roaches) likely had the run of the whole spread. I quickly left and have not(and will not) return.

WORSTSUBWAY ever! value of the dollar is not even worth coming back! I work very close to the Subway on K street and have avoided it many times– WORST customer SERVICE! I went in today with a coupon that stated«free ANY6 inch sandwich with the purchase of ANY6 inch sandwich and drink» The only reason i went in was because i had a coupon! When ordering i showed the man my coupon, I said 2 –6 inch but you can make it a footlong since i want the same on both. he said cool and told the lady upfront its two 6 inch. I proceeded to show her my coupon and pay but very rudely the lady behind the register told the man that he cant accept coupns on specialty subs! i got the turkey, bacon, avacado. really? so the other lady beside her said well it does say ANY, but the register lady just became louder and ruder saying if i call my mom right now she will not allow it! my gosh! really! i told her that i showed the guy my coupn when ordering and he said cool so you should honor that– –she said no! then i said this is the only reason why I came in and I could have gone somewhere else. and she said NO i cannot accept coupon! so I told her i would go elsewhere then!!! I mean really– you just lost a customer for life and the money for the sandwich for what!!! ??? Bad business! I will not be taking my business there ever again and neither should you — –I hope this place closes down just for the mere customer service and how RUDE they are to their paying customers. The value of a buck is not worth it!!!

Average at best Subway. I still go almost once a week because it is close to my work and the Subway on J and 13th lost my business forever for being so terrible. This one isn’t that much better, but at least they participate in the monthly specials and the 5 dollar footlong month promotions. Some staff are friendly here, many are rude or indifferent at best. The lines are always long. They aren’t very generous with toppings at times, and I was even told that they couldn’t put more spinach on my sandwich before(the guy put like 8 pieces on a footlong and I asked for more, to be told that he couldn’t unless I paid $.50 extra. He got a big«fuck that!» from me). But alas, I guess I can’t blame the staff as the owner sits right at the register looking over their shoulders like a hawk all day. So if you decide to come to this subway, know what to expect. The staff isn’t the greatest, will try to upsell you at every turn, and will skimp you on your veggies. At least the location is good.

Worst customer service – from an employee named Joyce – that I’ve had in a long time. I walked in to this Subway location to get a sandwich and asked to wash my hands before I placed my order. Joyce rudely told me that I would have to put down a 50 cent deposit before placing my order in order to access the bathroom. I was confused at first, but then it became obvious she thought I was trying to use the bathroom and then not actually buy anything to eat. WRONG! I’m actually super hungry right now and it irritates me that I have to write this one star review rather than just wash my hands and eat my sandwich as planned. Super. Friggin’. Irritating. Absolutely avoid this place. Rudest customer service ever and also located on a bad section of K St. It’s not unheard of to want to wash your hands before you touch food you plan to eat – it’s called sanitary practices. I’m calling the owner Harry Patel to make a formal complaint now as well.

This is the second time I have been here an it’s hands down one of the worst Subway I have been to. The first time was average and passable but I’m not a happy camper today. The employees weren’t really rude but I am disappointed at how skimpy they were on the veggies. Normally the veggies you get would at the very least cover the bread up. Nope! Not today! Sad part is that I even asked for extra spinach and it’s still skimpy. Oh yeah, they messed up on my meat and put it on a different person’s bread and then took the other person’s bread and dumped my meat on top. The employee then proceeds to dump the bread back on the sandwich making counter where it originally was! Really??? I don’t know what happened with that customer’s bread/sandwich because I was too upset to even pay attention. Oh yeah, because of my meat issue they did not bother to even ask me if I wanted any salt/pepper/oil/vinegar. I would normally ask if they forget but it was seriously not worth my time as I wanted to get the heck out of there! Yes, it was that bad and I was that upset. Overall, I am not happy about this place. The only saving grace was the fact that they were the closest Subway from my work building. Besides that, I wouldn’t have bother to go because the employees are airheads and they have a terrible system to move things along quickly. Ugh… Now that I’m done with this rant, I guess it’s time to eat my sorry looking sandwich. :/

Just because you are located downtown on K Street doesn’t mean you have to live up to the shittyness of most businesses and people that seem to love to hangout on «The Kay»(one of the City’s shitty attempts of revamping K Street ultimately wasting tons of money and in turn subsidizing businesses located there). The inside of this restaurant is filthy and the the owner parked behind the register is very unfriendly and rude. If you want a sandwich do yourself a favor and walk a few doors down to the corner of 9th and K and stop in at Estelle’s Patisserie. Lesson learned: Every few months that goes by I end up giving Subway another try. I should probably get a tattoo to remind me not to do this. I’m not saying they are ALL terrible but it’s just the lowest quality everything so I should try harder to avoid it.

Most people know I love a sandwich, and when possible a cheap sandwich is best! Well in this case cheap is not best, it’s worse. Hands down this is the worse Subway I have ever been too. The employees are rude and they are to trying to set the World Record by making the thinnest sandwiches ever made. I’m not going to keep going on and on about this place but.. . 2 jalapenos, 4 slices of meat, a sprinkle of lettuce, 2 bell pepper slices on a 6 inch sandwich says it all. Do not waste your time and save your 5 bucks!

I went before an imax movie and accidently left my ring in the bathroom. I called them less than 10 minutes after I left to ask if they could hold on to it for me and the second I mentioned it to the Indian man on the phone, he would hang up on me. Repeativly. Luckily, it was a 5 dollar fake diamond ring, but I should not surprised that this would happen in sac. I came to the shop at 645 and they were closed.

Wowie! I didn’t think there were so many subways in a 3 block radius. And to think I just stumbled on it after almost being involved in a neo-nazi /occupy protest. Who would of thought that you could get it all in one lunch outing, what a country. But, to top it all off I ran into the city manager Alex… a pleasant surprise. As for subway, well it was pretty subway’ish. The people were in form with any normal subway that I’ve come across. I did notice that the sandwich artist was on her toes though. She(older lady mid 40’s) knew everything there was to know about making a sandwich, and more too. I asked for two separate halves of the sando to be made differently and she went as far to wrap and mark them in two separate sleeves of paper. A+ for her. Two good and bad things to point out. You must order something to use the bathroom because of the ruckus that comes through this area of town. There’s a nice out door table to people watch as you enjoy your sub.

I ask for a foot-long toasted with Provolone. They then continued to ask me if I wanted cheese on it and if I wanted it toasted another 3 times. Then when I tell them I want«vinegar only» they add oil to my sandwich. I paid extra to have it toasted and they didn’t even leave it in long enough to melt the cheese or warm the tuna. Seriously, the tuna was still cold. Very frustrating experience.

Meh. It’s pretty much your average Subway location. It does get busy around noon, due to the lunch hour rush. As a person with only half an hour for lunch, I appreciate that they get you out of there pretty quickly. They can be a bit rude though, and you may feel rushed.

So come to this subway if you want to be gouged by employees with a bad attitude. That pretty much sums up my visit here today. Tried to use a coupon and had them charge me extra. Asked for footlong, reminded employee when she was cutting a 6″ bun, and received a rude response(edited to keep Unilocal a family friendly site). All in all, I will go to one of the approximately other 100 subways nearby in the future, or better yet, will take the time to try real deli sandwich(can you say Corti bros?)

Subways are fast food with healthy options. I can’t expect much out of the service. As far as Subway goes, this has been the most friendly and speedy lunch time service.
